gotta get that kid a stuffed possum or something.

welll, we already did - in honour of you :-)

it is a plush of Heidi, the cross-eyed opossum of Leipzig Zoo, Germanys third most famous dead zoo animal (after Knut the abandoned polar bear pub and Paul the psychic octopus)

we took pics of Marlon and Heidi 5 minutes before I read your post, will be posted soon

Plus, at dinner this evening, the movie Underworld was on the TV. Some older dude changed the channel and put on Gilligan's Island.

WTF?!?

I like Gilligan as much as the next guy, but to turn off hot chick in skin tight leather engaged in extreme violence? Come on!!

She looked better in Shooting Fish. (Could just be that it takes more than attractive woman and comic-book violence for me to enjoy a movie. Or comic-book, come to think of it.)

True, but that's why Razor Blade Smile is a better movie than Underworld (even though it looks like a student-y affair in comparison).

I'm reading monster musume. It's a good thing.

Note - Orthos, monster musume is not approved for you.

That was the year I started school... Pre-elementary class...

Oh, and I survived Chernobyl disaster that year!

That work is psychically exhausting. Well, physically too, but mostly because I have to get up before five...

I am too slow for that - other trainees are twice as fast as me. Being unlucky with some phones does not help either... Why others don't get a faulty part from the warehouse at the last moment... Twice in a row?

Temperature dropping to below -10 (or 14 if your prefer Fahrenheit) and the night is just started. Could it be that I'm supposed to be outdoors for 7-9 hours tomorrow?

In Rankine degrees it's 473,67.

It's Photobucket, it gets wonky like that sometimes. It's the main reason I stopped using it and switched to DropBox.

He's adorable.

I can't stop thinking of aeglos and sabine as proud parents of their new white square. Taking him to the first day of school.... Watching him give his valedictorian speech.... Finding out that he's really serious about that orange triangle he's been hanging out with.... And then becoming grandparents to an isosceles.

um, what ? o.O

Freehold's getting an error that's common on Photobucket where the picture doesn't show up, he just sees a blank white box. So he's being silly and running with it.

Why does Apple keep making the itunes GUI less manageable with each update? I'm this close to getting one of those "basically a USB-drive with an earphone socket" players just so I won't have to deal with their program.

I want to like this 17,429,836 times.

If things don't improve in the next month or so, I am switching to Windows phones. I bought an iPhone to only have to carry one machine around for phoning and music, and now I HATE the way music is handled by the whole Apple system.

Don't worry, Microsoft will enforce single obligatory user interface on all their products soon... Picking the worst possible interface, of course...

It's not limited to phones. I got a refurbished iPod when I needed to replace my dying Phillips MP3 player and I'm not particularly fond of it. The entire operating procedure was non-intuitive and took quite a lot of getting used to. Also I miss just being able to drag-and-drop MP3s into the player from the My Computer menu; instead I had to install iTunes and can only update/upload/adjust music through that program.
