Our Ecuadorian guest conductor finally made it to the US and we had our first rehearsal. Though he speaks English much better than any of us do Spanish, he's not particularly confident in it, nor does he have an extensive vocabulary. After a few adaptations (his 'measure' sounds like 'masseur' and 'time' means 'beat') we got some things. So 'the third time in the masseur must empty be!' is now comprehensible to us. He uses baton and body language for time and dynamics. But the rest we found difficult, until he started using musical terminology, which we all know. So, as the Puffin recapped it, the Spanish-speaking conductor and English-speaking musicians are now using Italian as their lingua franca.
"Tutti! Da capo! Fagotte! Piu piano!"
"OK!"

I can't believe that there are only the first 2 parts of Brotherhood up on Netflix. UGH!
BTW, fresh Blogberry Pie.
I was singing in another thread earlier...I think it was that Leafar thread.

I hope everyone here is doing well.
Nice! I wish her luck.
Thanks! I plan to be on this thread more regularly after this weekend. Life has been rather busy lately (in a good way, so that's, um, good).

I'll email you some pics. :)
Hubby and Ari came home a bit early, she said she was tired and wanted to hurry home to tell her bubby (Kellen) all about the dance! lol!
They had a good time, food was good, they danced the congo line. I think I may suggest a Daddy/ Daughter and Mother/Son dance at Kellen's school for a fundraiser for next year! :)

I got to stop looking at most threads in almost every section of the messageboards. My new rule is that I don't really care what the trolls think or post. Also, my new saying is: Play with trolls, get warts. Trollery is in the eye of the beholder, and I will not debate with trolls just looking to get a reaction. Once you do youve let them win, and many times you end up overreacting and looking like a troll yourself*
*I use 'you' in the general sense, Jeremy, not you specifically. I myself have been ensnared in these pointless threadwars before, and it is maddening
It's ok Monkey I won't take it personally I am just amazed at how some people can twist a thread into something trollish.

Yeah, that's a pretty common result of reading those books.
