Calling somebody a wombat in Australia is an affectionate sort of insult.. Because a wombat eats roots and leaves.... (roots or rooting is a euphemism).

A lot of Australians when they go to Canada will have their pictures taken with Roots sign with the beaver - Just because its very funny in a drunken university humor kind of way.

Overwhelmed lately. Tired as a get out. At least some of the fatigue is the good kind. The rest is the sucky kind. With Spring so begin the chores outside. Outside, I said! Sometimes in the sun! The Sun! Woohoo! Now if I could focus the sun's rays to incinerate my real problems...

too dramatic? ;P

I think a more apt statement would be "for those WISE facebook haters who aren't even on the frackin' thing cos they're so smarts."

Is that why A Country Practice ended? Because Fatso could not keep his paws to himself?

Well, Ross and Mark had to put the smack down on some trouble makers, never realizing it was all part of CJ's master plan to stoke the fires of rebellion against their authority. Meanwhile, Nathan and Jess were surprised to learn that they had both put in bids for the auctioning of a domesticated wombat. And, across town, Sebastian made preparations to circulate a viral video he had acquired, showing the teabagging of....No, wait! That's my soap opera!
Nathan is always copying me. That is rightfully my wombat!

Lies, you scandalous wombat thieving harlot!

Shared custody?

Only if I get all the odd numbered weekends.

I hear wombats make excellent cat toys...

If any of you have kids or just enjoy the odd children's book -- this is a must read.

Its one of my favorite books to read to my girls before they go to bed, that and Green Eggs and Ham.

I'm just a gigolo and everywhere I go
people know the bar I'm playing
Pay for every dance selling each romance
Ooh I could say

There would come a day
when news will pass away
What would they say about me?
When the end comes I know
I was just a gigolo
Life goes on without me

I'm just a gigolo and everywhere I go
People know the part Dave's playing
Pay for every dance selling each romance
Ooh I could say

There would come a day
when news will pass away
What would they say about me?
When the end comes I know
I was just a gigolo
Life goes on without me

Cuz I ain't got nobody
Nobody cares for me
nobody, nobody cares for me
I'm so sad and lonely
Sad and lonely, sad and lonely
Won't some sweet mama
come and take a chance with me
Cuz I ain't so bad
Sad and lonesome all the time
Even on the beat, on the, on the beat

I ain't got nobody
Nobody cares for me, nobody, nobody
Really ain't got nobody, sad and lonesome
Baby need love

I, I, I, ain't got nobody
Nobody, nobody cares for me
nobody, nobody
I'm so sad and lonely, sad and lonely
Won't some sweet mama
come and take a chance with me
Cuz I ain't so bad

Really want that soul
little loving soul all the time
Even on the beat, cherry, cherry on the beat
Need a long tall darling, mama
Feeling sick
Got nobody, no, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, no one, no one

Loopey loop, darling, darling
Getting serious, got to see the walls
Over there nobody, got no one, nobody
Nobody, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody cares for me

I care.

PIE!!!!

EIP!!!!!!

Scarab Sages

So, Thursday is my birthday. In recent years, I've normally taken that day off from work.

Scarab Sages

Because who in there right mind wants to be at work on their birthday?

Scarab Sages

But this year I'll be at work on Thursday, and take off Friday instead.

Scarab Sages

I don't think it's going to make for a pleasant birthday, but it's easier this way.

Scarab Sages

Maybe I'll bring in some donuts....

Scarab Sages

Friday will be me and the boy.

Scarab Sages

We'll go down to Total Wine & More so I can get some beer. Then to the comic book store. Then Popeyes for lunch.

Scarab Sages

Can you tell I really don't want to be at work today?

Scarab Sages

Anyway, after Popeyes, we will make our way to the mall to get some more shopping done for Mommazombie - Mother's Day and Anniversary.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmm......

Scarab Sages

....Popeyes.

Scarab Sages

I've come to the belief that certain posters on these boards are in fact very young children. Therefore I will attempt to treat them as I do many children - ignore them.

Scarab Sages

Crap! Gotta go. Later folks.

God, i could listen to Adele sing names out of the phone book and be complete.

Is there such thing as Stephen Fry fatigue?

He is one of the most wittiest, funniest, and intelligent men in the known universe. But he is on every TV show and all sorts of TV ads....

Yes I get it every time he opens his mouth. Being intelligent and having something to say worth listening to, are vastly different things.

I am very sorry to have read this. I feel even worse when I too acknowledge having missed it the first time. I hope things are as well as they can be Taig, my prayers are with you and your family.

As an assassin I've had to kill thee, thou, brown cows, and sows. It hasn't been the most ambitious targest list and thus I don't seem to be able to get to second level after ten years at this.

Caffeine withdrawal headache...ugh.

I'm trying to cut back since I may have gone a wee bit (and by a wee bit I mean a whole heckuva lot) overboard on the caffeine consumption in the last month. So I'm cutting it down to bare minimum levels. Not even gonna try to go cold turkey. Nuh-uh, no way. This is bad enough. But even just cutting back has me dealing with a pounding headache and I am so cranky.
