Naked bane? It's like I'm in the Forgotten Realms or something.

In Phoenix we called it the California Shuffle.

@Jason: When a driver shifts from one side of a multi-lane (3 minimum) street or highway all the way to the other without pause. Usually accompanied by much shouting, cursing, and honking from all the people behind them.

A sandwich with bacon, lettuce, and tomato on it. The tearoom my wife and I frequent in Austin has an excellent version that includes turkey.

Depends on who you ask. I'm aware that some of my acquaintances think I'm dumb as a post. :)

(I think they're wrong, but it's a subjective sort of evaluation in any case.)

We usually just call it the dick move.

So, we did it 3 times and I punched her

Nay, lad. Not 'just' a sandwich. THE sandwich. The platonic ideal of sandwiches, when it's done right. :)

Nah, the ideal sandwich includes a well-aged Grevé cheese, cucumbers, salami, and tomatoes.

Can't say anything about the cheese as I don't think I've had that particular kind, but the only thing of the rest of that I'll eat is the salami >_>

That combination does not sound particularly appealing to me (though I do like good cheese and salami), but that means there's more for you. And more BLT for me! :)

So I am beginning to realize. One bedroom isn't big enough to contain a smallish RPG collection. I have almost filled the room to capacity.

Essentially what Orthos said. There's another terminology I've heard it being called, but it's not an epithet worth repeating.

Don't worry Pat you guys will get to see my modest sized colection in August once I have my new minis out and on display. I think you guys are overestimating the size of my collection.

On a sidenote I have been watching the series "Ancient X-files" and I never realized how many old religious relics there are. Like seriously, the catholic church seems to to stockpile these things. Some of them look cool. Not that I believe they are real or anything.

You have to remember that back in the day, relics were a big pull for tourists (pilgrims). Any church looking to attract religious pilgrims needed a brace of saintly items. Even small churches had local relics associated with local saints.

C'mon! Give yourself some credit!

Unless you have a mangina, like that comedy movie out there

Remember, everyone! If the customer is letting his children wave things in the cashier's face, and the cashier asks them to back away before they hit her, it's the cashier's fault!

Thankfully the management sided with me on that, so no trouble was had. And that I managed to wait until he was safely outside before spitting out any of the dozen comebacks that instantly sprang to mind.

So am I, though stepping back and raising my hands to protect myself from the things being waved right at eye level, is hardly flipping out.

"I don't know why you can't handle this. I worked in a grocery store."

Yeah, back when parenting actually happened on a grand scale.

I meant in terms of not saying anything snarky, or, you know, waving things at the parent's face. >/

I couldn't reach his face. =P

Honestly, I think half the reason he decided to make a stink was that I genuinely look like a kid. Heck, this exact conversation happened twice today:

(to a small child) "School supplies, huh? Looking forward to going back?"
(parent) "He sure is! Where do you go?"
"......um, I actually teach."

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Ouch.

I'm used to it. Heck, due to really high countertops in the school offices, one of the middle schools mistook me for a student for a month.

Seriously, when did sixth graders start hitting near 6'? The "I'm a responsible adult!" thing falls flat when the kids have a foot on you.

Heh, I get regularly confused for being a vastly different age than I am. From 10 years + older, to 10 years + younger. It's so random I've determined it's meaningless either way, at this point. Though I'm finally at an age that 10 years youngers makes me feel good instead of annoyed. :)
