Heheh,

first- My favorite game I used to play when working in the Convention Center in New Orleans was "Spot the worker whose never been to New Orleans before"

It's a very simple game. On the second day of a big load in you watch for the worker stumbling in blind, stinking drunk. THAT is the guy who has never been to New Orleans before, and was at the bar all night waiting to hear last call before going to bed.

BTW- New Orleans bars don't HAVE a last call! :)

Second- My personal collection of 'Weapons of individual destruction' is not particularly large or impressive, but they are all functional. (The only gun I own is a black powder pistol. I own swords, bows, etc.) And my daughter is about to turn 13.

I decided long ago, I'll be the dad sitting on the front porch sharpening a broadsword when the first guy she dates arrives to pick her up,...

:D

If you see a chick dressed as Korra with a bear-dog purse, accompanied by a derpy-looking Digimon guy, you've found two of my Pathfinder players.

I think I saw her! If she talks about someone who gets into fights defending her show that was wearing panties on his face, that's me!!!!!

In other news: Tonight is movie night, which means I'll be able to stop avoiding spoilers for Dark Knight Rises after tonight. :)

How's life in FAWTLville today?

I look forward to your unflinching review.

** spoiler omitted **

I thank you for your unflinching review.

Not so good at getting me out of it,... ;P

Are you an impostor or do you just change your name from time to time?

To vet yourself as not a pod person -- the REAL Urizen would know EXACTLY which FaWtL regular brought me to this thread. Answer or be outed as a body-snatcher!!! (The real Urizen would appreciate my protecting his good name)

My guess it would be the rumors of Solnes' rack being freaking huge.

I truly hate the fact that my phone randomly deletes or forgets pictures it takes. I have a picture of the one Panty that was at the con but none of the 4 Stockings who were there at the con. *sigh*

Will post pics after the con is over, internet connection is weird at this particular hotel.

Oh Freehold, innocence does not become you. ;)

?????

I guess I'll just have to see the pics then, because I obviously do not have a clue what you are talking about! ;P

It sounds like your having fun at least? ;)

The Exchange

I don't have any daughters, yet I did manage to scare the hell out of a group of bullies with my collection of swords.

Hey there CJ. Hope that you have a good weekend.

Have a good night everyone!

That works too! ;)

I knew a guy once (barely, so NO promises that this story is true!)
Who claimed he came home to his apartment from an SCA event still wearing his chain mail under his jacket. As soon as he stepped out of his car he was accosted by a knife-wielding mugger. He of course laughed at the mugger so the guy tried to knife him, and (again, supposedly) broke his knife on the chain mail. Whereupon the guy pulled his broadsword from his backseat and said "My turn!" :)

Again, NO claim that this is true. But it still makes a good story! :D

Nighters Sharoth.

Actually, I'm done watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics now, so I think I'll go to sleep too!

Night all!

The Exchange

Not working tomorrow. Good, getting paid to take the day off, better.

CJ, I salute you.

With that, everyone have a safe night and a good weekend. I still have more packing and storing to do.

goooood morning FaWtL

I heard such story about a man returning from training with chainmail on here in Poland.

On the other hand there is quite confirmed story of band of hooligans pestering folks on convention (I don't recall which convention it was) until a dozen or more people in full plates or chain mails stepped out, with swords, axes, flails and more uncommon weaponry in hands. The bullies backed off very quickly.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Saturday! At least it was until 3 seconds ago when my wife's work phone started ringing. It's not like she didn't get home until 3 in the godsdamned morning.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Scarab Sages

Still, the boy seems to be in a good mood. And tomorrow is a short notice Kingmaker game. We're still trying to work out the new dynamic.

Mrh?

The Exchange

Went to pour a dash of sugar in my coffee and used the wrong side of the multi-opening top.

Trying to power my way through my WAY too sweet morning beverage, because I don't want to wait for a second brew.

Working on a weekend should be illegal. That is all....

I got a wedding picture of my paternal grandparents, today.

I (as inheritor of the family home) have piles of family pictures from the last 3 generations, but what always was missing where wedding pics of my grandparents, they had disapeared

now my dad managed to find one at a cousins house, and had a copy made for me.

it now has a place of honor in the picture gallery in my stairwell

like all the women in my familiy prior the 50th my grandma married in a black dress with a white veil

I am proud my granddad married in a tuxedo not in a nazi-uniform (that was a act of disobeying in 1936, quite risky)

If anything kills me before 30, I don't think it'll be the food or the poor health. It'll be doing manual labor outside at 95* (35* for C users) in nearly 70% humidity.

*collapse*

Do yourself, and your family, a favor and scan them. That way you can share freely, and preserve the memories.

Kudos to your grandpa.

Sitting in the Tampa airport and headed home. Do I really have to go to work on Monday?

It's been higher, but we haven't had any rain this week. Unlike the entire month prior.

Been queasy ever since I finished a few hours ago, going to try to eat something -_-

Eat bacon.

Sadly we have none.

Find an animal from which to make bacon-like strips.

Effort.

Switching aliases also took effort.

Eh.

&!*%#%*~!% flight delays *%#%%!~#

Glad this terminal has a Starbucks.

Sorry to hear that, CH. Flight delays suck. Even with a good book, good portable game system, a good friend(s), ect. By that point, you just want to get there!!!

Silver Crusade

Yep. 3.5 hours and counting.

Liberty's Edge

From the action over on Rone's music video thread, I've come to realize something: I'm a dubstep grognard.

What the f+## is this Skrillex s&@&? Dubstep was way better in 2006...
