The depth of the water is unknown so that charge may not have taken place. If not then Inscidia probably lives. If that charge is not negated then we are up 3-2 most likely.
IIRC a charge had to be unobstructed.
I asked earlier about if the water would be enough of an obstacle to keep me from charging and the DM answered it here

Saria laughs triumphantly as Sammy's attack strikes true, but as he is enveloped in a green cloud, she lowers her gaze to the other members of Inscidia's
"Come now, Raspin! Let's go and finally join the fray!"
As she says this, she begins moving toward her foes, dancing for a moment on her way.. and then vanishing in a puff of song. Her disembodied satirical song still floats through the arena...

The 7 clone dragons laugh in glee as they rush through the air, tryign to put some distance between himself and the mounted lancer. Again a bead of flame leaps from 7 fingertips to detonate between the now-invisible woman and the opposing Emperor.
Move to M-16, gaining another 10ft of height (up to 15' now).
Cast another Fireball which detonates in the bottom-right corner of R-10.
Damage 9d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 3, 3, 1, 1, 1, 2) + 9 = 32.
Reflex DC 19 for half damage for Saria and Raspin.

NPC d'Eben |

Sorry, hastily threw together that post and it was was a typo. And dang, that damage dropped in half! Look at all those 1's! BArcas, your arena dice hate me. :( Ah well.
And Dermot! I thought you were on my team! :D

Spread
Some effects, notably clouds and fogs, spread out from a point of origin, which must be a grid intersection. The effect can extend around corners and into areas that you can't see. Figure distance by actual distance traveled, taking into account turns the spell effect takes. When determining distance for spread effects, count around walls, not through them. As with movement, do not trace diagonals across corners. You must designate the point of origin for such an effect, but you need not have line of effect (see below) to all portions of the effect.
It will go over the wall without issue.

Round 3, Initiative 9
Reflex Save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Raspin lets out a roar of pain, "I am tired of this. Time to give the gift that keeps on giving."
Move Action:Fly 15 feet up
Standard Action:
Attack roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Damage roll 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
As Raspin elevates above the wall he gestures toward Kizzle, and a greatsword appears just above his head, and takes a badly aimed swipe at him.

Torinath's Gladiator |

Round 4; Initiative 22
Blinking to clear his eyes and wiping snot from his nose, Sammy directs Shadowtooth to fly to O3-P4. Feeling robbed of his victorious strike against Inscidia, he attempts to raise his lance to the crowd for some adulation. When he almost has his arm fully extended he doubles over and vomits off the side of shadowtooth. Already nauseous, upon hearing his rider vomit Shadowtooth cannot keep his own bile from rising. Vomit jets from Shadowtooth's mouth like some kind of putrid breath weapon. His vomit flows like a green river making a resoundingly loud "splat" as it strikes the hard sandy arena floor five feet below.
2 more rounds of Nausea

DM Barcas wrote:** spoiler omitted **I didn't check the map, so it may very well, but simply going over the wall to th next side counts as 15ft min distance of the area. So a firebal would need to originate at least 5ft away or cleser to a 5ft wall to get around it.
I counted the squares again. It hits, but barely. I counted them wrong the first time.

NPC d'Eben |

7 Fizzles laugh at the horrible floating greatsword swipe.
just to clarify, I did get both Saria and raspin with the Fireball... Raspin just made the save for half, right?

Raspin |

While we're clarifying, you got hit by my glitterdust. Which means that while you do have 7 Fizzles, we know which one is the real one. :)
I thought about that earlier but since they all look like him that means if he is sparkles then they all sparkle.

NPC d'Eben |

ooc]I thought about that earlier but since they all look like him that means if he is sparkles then they all sparkle.[/ooc]
I was under the impression this was the case as well. Glitterdust negates invisibility and covers things in shiny motes, but my duplicates mirror how I look and what I do, woudnt' they also look like they're covered in motes?
Barcas?

Dermot Flamegore |

Round 3, Initiative 19
Spellcraft 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28
Dermot cackles madly with delight as the dragon and his rider fly away from the noxious green fumes. "Ahh...that lunch must taste pretty good the second time, right?", he says laughing.
He flies around the waterfall and sees one of his enemies holding a greatsword. "Here! Try on this crown of fire Emperor!", he screams as he ascends above him and casts a bomb.
Move to R13. Ascend another 10', so I am 25' up.

It is an Alchemist's Bomb thrown as a splash weapon, so does it require a Spellcraft check to identify that? Not sure what the DC would be for that.

If the class does not say people can make spellcraft checks then it would fall into knowledge arcana, assuming it is magical. I have not really looked over the alchemist to know how it works.
Knowledge arcana checks can't be made until after the affect is observed though.

** spoiler omitted **
Yep.
Attack +13: +6 BAB +5 Dex +1 PBS +2 Heroism +1 Height -2 Satire. I forgot to include the Throw Anything +1, so it should really be +14 and my touch attack above would be a 17 instead of 16.Damage +4: +5 Int +1 PBS -2 Satire
Forgot to include splash damage though. It is 9 with Reflex 19 to take half (4).

Angry, wobbly, and invisible, Saria raises her crossbow at the Kizzles and loads one of her "special" bolt.

+2's from my Good Hope spell.
But the shot goes wide as she reappers in the audience's veiw, and she slowly falls to the ground.
Being disabled and taking 1 point of damage from a standard action that misses just sucks.
Now at -1 HP and dying.
Good Hope is still active, but Satire has gone away.. :(

Round 3; initiative 12
A mighty squeaky roar erupts from six mighty brass-clad dragons as the woman falls, "Now we're even, b1tches!" Then a third bead of fire is whipped out and detonates above and behind the opposing Emperor's head, placed to miss his own emperor. As he flies a few yards away from the explosion, gaining cover from the nauseated dragon-rider, he calls out to Dermot, "LIGHT'IM UP, BOOOOOSSSSS!!!! BUT DONT GET JUMPED BY THE DRAGON-RIDER!!!!"
Continue the nuking, dropping a third Fireball in the bottom right corner of W-11, 5 feet off the ground. THis should only affect Raspin.
Damage 9d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 3, 2, 5, 3, 2, 1) + 9 = 32.
Again, Reflex save DC 19 for 16 damage.
Then fly to K-16.
Map is updated.

Ouchies.
I have fallen to -20, 4 more than my mortal body can handle before my soul has to depart.
Note to self: Having a devout worshipper of Gorum who insist on entering combat at all cost is not the best character to have an an Emperor.

DM Barcas |

Raspin drops to the floor, a smoking mess of burning flesh. The crowd's response is instantaneous and deafening as the Emperor falls. The herald's image appears before the teams can do more damage to each other. "We have a winner! Kizzle Brass-hide and Dermot Flamegore are victorious!"
END OF ROUND TWO

wraithstrike |

Ladies and gentlemen we are here today to witness feats of great magical and martial prowess. Two teams of gladiators stand ready to deal death and destruction. With that said, let the games begin.
A skull covered with fire appears, and starts chanting. The land changes to grass, and stone walls rise from the ground. Two teams appear on opposite sides of the field but they are block by a wall of ash as they prepare their spells. A few seconds pass, and the wall disappears.

NPC d'Eben |

Everyne needs to post a physical description and held items/weapons now so Rallick Nom can make an informed decision. :) Mine is coming soon.
As the arena changes, Kaze's manic eyes sweep towards his opponents, and his lips peel back in a crazy grimace-smile… a sight made even more disturbing by his torn facial features, including ripped off elvish ears. The half elf is tall, bald, athletically built, and geared for adventuring. His clothes are expensively cut and his weapons look well-worn. The elven curved blade strapped across his back is well cared for, and his shortbow shows the same care. Peeking out from his collared shirt is a chain shirt knitted of mithril, and hiding under his belt is a component pouch.
Let's do this! >:D

MoFiddy's Gladiator |

Description Post
Bryan has pale white skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. He is wearing black pants and a dark blue shirt. A cloak drapes around his shoulder with a brooch clasped at the neck. The brooch is gold in the shape of the sun. He is carrying a rod. It is about 3 feet long. It is made of ashen-colored wood and topped with a silver coil.

![]() |

A Chelaxian man stands still as a phantom breeze moves his cloak and robes. Half of his face is hidden by his long, pure white hair. In one hand he holds a well-made staff, while the other is held up as if to hold back the creatures at his side. In stark contrast to his larger companion, three celestial orbs of light float in the air at the ready. His lupine friend on the though...

Lobo Gris |

His lupine friend on the though...
Howling as the ash wall disappears, this demonic wolf may be one of the most frightening things in existence. Fur blacker than night itself covers its body. A long tail whips back and forth in bloodthirsty anticipation as eyes like red-hot coals smolder deep in their sockets...
Both Ray and Lobo are Lawful Evil.

![]() |

Round 1, Init 21 (3rd)
Garinol steps out almost ignoring the crowds distraction as he scans the area for enemies. He is wearing a dark black mage's robe, covered in stange occult trinkets and components, (a trained spellcaster will recognize that about half are fake components and probably more for stage).
Beneath the robe, covered in runes and glyphs is a "pure silver" Breastplate, showing what seems to be a scene of a meteor falling onto some landmass. He moves in both the armor and the robe with ease, indicating that he is well trained in both. In his right hand is an adamantine Bastard Sword, which he also seems to know how to use well.
He also wears a very nice, groin-protecting loincloth/belt and it seems like a rune/glyph covered cloak that blends in perfectly with the robe, worn more over his left shoulder to conceal that arm when not in use. Like any proper mage, there is a small assortment of scrolls, wands, and potions hanging from his spell component pouch for quick and easy access.
He looks very much the eldrich knight, ready to unleash magic and blade. His face is emotionless as he scans for victims and waits for the battle to begin.

Latrine, the cook?! |

Latrine is CE
Latrine is an unnaturally small human woman with wild eyes that hold a glimmering spark of insanity. She wears a tattered dress, cloak, headband, and apron. In her right hand she clutches a rusty iron pot, and occasionally a tiny scorpion can be seen crawling on her shoulders, hands, and through her hair. Binding her tattered dress at the waist, underneath her apron, is a belt with a small pouch on the left-hand side. Hung from her apron is an odd assortment of items including what appear to be metal jars of spices, a bag of flour that appears to be oozing something green in an easily accessible pouch, and keener eyes notice an assortment of grotesque trophies, or ingredients, including eyeballs, testicles, vials of blood, clumps of hair, eggs, etc hanging from various metal hooks and twine loops.
As the wall of ash disappears, Latrine lets out a mind-bending and ear-splitting cackle making most of the audience cringe and cover their ears.
