You should have a pool of 11 evolution points at level 8. The points you get are available in the same chart that shows how the eidolon progresses by level.

Sorry, I didn't explain well enough, Dieros had asked me a few posts back if I had added my favored class bonus to the evolution pool of my eidolon correctly. As I understand it I get 1 extra point for every 4 favored class points I put in, giving me a total of 13 points at lvl 8, right?


I am updating herolab. After that I will start to verify everyone's class.

Don't forget to copy the list and add a link to your character's profile to it if you are not on the list already. The arena is 95% complete.
All we are waiting on now is for me to verify everyone for the most part.

PS:In your character profile could everyone put a basic outline of what they are holding and wearing such as what type of armor, what weapon, and spell component pouches. In other words things that are clearly visible to an opponent.


Since I don't have the paid version of herolab I will have to do this by hand so but hopefully I will be done by Saturday night/Sunday morning.

I'm not sure if this would be kosher but I would be willing to save you a decent amount of time. If you look over my character first and everything is in order, I volunteer to double check the other members of my team for inconsistencies and errors (I have already been doing this to a degree anyway). I realize that this idea has the potential for opposition, but maybe you could just ask everyone and see what they think? I'm just looking to save you some time if I can.

If you´re wondering... This is the (empty) character profile for my PC.
Hopefully I will have the complete, legal character online for Wraith to check out by tomorrow.
Though our team seems to have been slower getting our characters together, not to mention teamwork ideas, so a bit more time may be more realistic.

Sorry, I've been so ready at work grearing up for deployment that I have had very litle time. I will definetly be complete by Saturday though. Also, I'll email you a Herolab copy of character so it will be easy to verify, (if you want).

If I take the next round, here is my working idea if anyone wants to start with a character. I am thinking a modified 1st level character that can be used for multiple contests.

My idea is to make a 1st level character, but with 3rd level HP, (so the combat is not so random and no easy kills of the bat). There will be additional things as well as I develope my idea, along the lines of a little front loading for 1st level, but slower 2nd - 3rdish level advancement. Alignments are LG, NG, CG, LE, NE, and CE only, with (T)N only for characters that are somewhat restricted to that alignment AND worship a (T)N deity.

I am thinking that it will be a team effort versus an NPC antagonist, but not sure yet. Partially depends on the number of players interested.

Leveling up will be along the lines of every 4 points. Playing in a match is 1 point, and winning a match is another 1 point, (total 2 if you win), so every 3-4 matches is a new level for your character, but not your team per se. Doing something really cool (rare) might get you an addition point, if you win. Still all just a working concept.

Thoughts or ideas?


That almost sounds like an idea for a separate Arena, given the advancement and level of involvement. I think that is part of the reason the other thread died. Advancement is hard to incorporate into an Arena unless it is fast advancement.


This arena was designed mostly for experimentation than anything. But, if it takes a life of its own, it takes a life of its own.

Question: How is Init going to be handled?
I can see each team already knowing their relative order within the group,
but NOT knowing other team´s Init until this is revealed with character actions.

That maintains more surprise, but allows SOME inter-party planning, which seems reasonable since everybody has just spent 3 rounds buffing, etc, so should be aware of inter-party Init order. (NOT revealing actual Init numbers until each PC´s action in-game seems a good idea because it conceals whether the party as a whole has really high init or really low init. The GM rolling Init probably makes sense for this type of approach)

Besides having a written description of all of our´s general appearance, weapons/armor wielded, etc (presuming we saw all of the other team in a pre-arena ceremony, etc?) which is a great idea, I think it´s good to have a solid way how to handle Perception in-game. Perhaps Spoilering Actions/Visibly Active Effects so that only those with LoS can view them?

The stats for your attack roll when using the scythe +1 scythe should only be only less than than the +2 scythe, not 8 less. Fix that and you are good to go

fixed the name of the potion next to HP, though that's not one of my pre-buffs). I think you forgot to add in Kaze's con bonus to the fort save. +2 (class) + 2 (con) + 3 (cloak) + 2 (Good Hope) = +9.

Also, I'm adding in Haste bonus, as one of my teammates is casting it in buff rounds.

Haven´t decided for sure yet on one in-arena potion.
You might want to update the icon, I switched to Human from Half-Orc.

I´m not listing numerical bonuses from buffs I expect to receive from allies, though I do list the (names of) spells/effects we´ve discussed as a team (as much for my benefit). Under spellcasting section, I have ´buff rounds´ layed out as 1 2 3. I wasn´t sure about the Raging Drunk thing, I decided to say that the Move Action didn´t include DRAWING the Potion (even though that weaken the ability substantially), which is reflected in my buff/planned actions... If you rule otherwise, let me know because that would be helpful.

Once we start, I will remove all the ´how i got these numbers´ stuff, and can just have effective stats, and running spells/effects (with duration if under minutes/level). Along with deciding the potion (and BL Energy Type), I might just spend the last money... on MW Spears???

btw, some questions about the arena...

what is ceiling height, 40´ same as before?
assuming the wall objects on the grid are indeed walls, how high are they?
how do the buff/debuff square work?
do you have to land on them/end your turn/action, or just pass thru them?
do you have to touch the floor, or is it a column also affecting flyers?
do they persist, i.e. will affect further characters, or are they one-off effects?


I am not home, and have not been home for over 24 hours. I will do the last 2 characters when I get home.
As for the squares they also affect flyers. Once a square is activated it can no longer be used.


Sorry for the wait. I have everyone reviewed now. I am just waiting on corrections then we can start. This is also a good time to ask questions. I will consolidate and post all of rules one more time after everyone is verified.
