"Lead on Mister Z. Let us see what is behind the not-quite-so hidden door."
Assuming we arrive at the rotating door without incident.
Love looks at the door. checking for traps "Hmmm looks simple enough."
Assuming no traps and I can see how to open the door. "Like so..."
Open door.

As the group makes their way back over, the hidden door opens easily to just light pressure, rolling to the side and then sliding in to reveal a long, dark room.
On the opposite wall of the hidden door stand a large pair of bronze doors with no obviously handle and an odd set of faces carved into them.
Elaborate paintings cover the walls in faded, abstract patterns. A large lantern hangs from an iron chain depending from the center of the ceiling.
Bah, I am sorry, I was waiting for someone to second Zeldin's suggestion and somehow managed to miss Karth's post. Probably didn't help that the weekend was more than a little nuts. I had really been hoping we would have heard from Kiradia again after the exchanged email, we are pretty heavy on NPCs at the moment which makes it hard to advance things without people feeling like they are hogging the spotlight I suspect. We might have to restock the parties once we head back to town.

The paintings are in better condition than usual for the delve so far? Potato room excepted of course. Also is the lantern lit?
"Well this is looking better!"
Re:party. We could just head back now. Love does need to replace the rope he tied the potato up with.

The lantern is unlit. It is hard to tell from the doorway, but it looks like a hanging oil lamp with an open frame. Almost like it is missing its glass or paper sides.
The are on the walls, while seeming to just be nonsensical shapes and patterns is well done and preserved so it remains crisp and clear, but it at least has the air of age to it.

Zeldin Tarr |

Zeldin looks to "Love" as "Love" says, "Well this is looking better!" wondering what he sees that he is missing. Muttering to himself, suddenly a ball of blueish light appears in in his palm and he holds it high. His eagle eyes cast about the room, looking for anything that seems out of place.
Does it smell or look like the goblins or "Bestial Horde" have been this way?
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
If Zeldin sees anything, he freely shares it and if he does not he asks "Love", Do you think this floor might be trapped too?

"Don't know about the floor. I do not like the look of that lamp though. See how the sides are all open? That is unusual. Things are generaly unusual for a reason." "Give me a shout if anything moves, I'll check the floor."
Love moves into the room with caution and care. He slowly begins to move down the left hand side of the room. If you listen carefully he is whistling 'Every good girl loves a sailor' under his breath.
You know the drill. Check a 5' wide path down the left hand side of the room until I reach the odd door. Also checking the left-hand wall as I go.

The room doesn't seem to have any lingering stench of goblinoids, nor does it show any of the refuse they would often leave behind.
Love makes his way slowly around the room, watching for any signs of traps and seeing none. As he approaches near the far door, it becomes clear that there doesn't appear to be any sort of handle to operate them. Once he is within a few steps however, the iron-wrought mouths begin to move and speak.
Down below mother moon
About the lands, a sacred gloom
Reaching across the midnight sky
Knowing the truths that make you cry
Night imbued with his very essence
Eternal light forbids his presence
Secret questions you dare to ask
Shadows are his faithful mask

Love looks at Larayn. Looks at the door. "No... it couldn't be." He starts to chuckle, and after a moment is laughing.
"Wizards and Dragons! Don't you see? This place was built by Wizards and Dragons!" Seeing the blank looks of his companions Love wipes away his mirthful tears and explains.
"Both the pointy hat and the pointy tooth set think they are brilliant. To be fair many of them are but neither have any common sence and neither can pass up a chance to remind you how clever they are."
"I should have guessed after that statue and the falling floor. Clever and complicated and powerful yet with a strain of stupid. Wizards and Dragons. They forget that other people can think. They think that while they wrestle with the great questions the rest of us wander in ...'

*bump?*
Did the statement under the spoiler open the door/Sweep us into the firey furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego?

Ernst "Love" Lowfield |

I cannot click your link at work... but if I recall correctly those three did okay right? I mean God visited them in the fire so...
The link is louie armstrong singing the song of the same name. It is from '51 movie with a young mickey rooney. But yeah, judging from the song they did ok. We, well perhaps not so much.
Wondering about Tarlane though.....

Ernst "Love" Lowfield |

Just got an e-mail from beloved leader the mail was sent to all of us so check accounts.
Looks like the delve failed a health and saftey inspection and has been closed by the local council.
Pity.
Still I have hope of trying again when Tarlane feels better.
Until then
