"Aaah, splendid! More peopel to mutilate and sacrifise to my God!! Aahahahaha, I will rip out your legs and eyes. I will couge your eyes out and cut your tongue! Ooh, You will make a great servants for him, who is Lord of Darkness
In feverish lust and braising of glory to his God, the servant and monk of Zon-Kuthon eyes other combatants Indeed... your blood will be spilled and soul will stolen for the greater evil

Ä slender but powerfully built elf enters the hall, a bow slung over his shoulder and a wicked looking twohanded blade on his back. He looks around, seeming disgusted with what he sees.
Scum, the whole lot of them. Some of them pretty insane by the sounds of it... I will do the world a favor by eradicating them., he thinks to himself.
He finds a shadowy corner and spend some time observing his future adversaries...

Congrats to: Heshlem and Gladiator Haggar
I'll have the First Arena ready on monday, Prob around 10:30 Est Time, Announce the Fight, then we'll go from there!
Good luck, have fun!
Make sure to head to the recruitment Thread, I have a few questions.
Gladiator Haggar |
"So I'm to be the first up...", I say standing and limbering up.
Standing a commanding 6'3" tall (though only a wiry 205 lbs) I gaze across the room at my opponent with my green eyes and chestnut hair, "My soul is prepared... is yours?"
Knowledge Local to See what I know about Heshlem 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Presuming I survive, I will put a bit more background into it. I have one in mind but it seems a waste if I get smoked after the first fight.
Heshlem |
Heshlem is a half-orc who stands at 6'4" 220.
Haslem listens to the banter about who people think will win.
"Galdyn, you will win money as long as you bet on me."
"Eben, if I were you I would hope for my defeat also, as hollow as that hope may be.".
Heshlem checks his gear to check for any tampering instead of wasting time trying to gather information.
Elodan Threolith |
Can't really say who I hope will win. If the half-orc wins, we'll have one more dead human, which in my book is a good thing, but half orcs are not what I'd call good company so maybe it would be better that the human won. Then mayhaps I could get the pleasure of killing him myself., he thinks to himself.
He glares at the two gladiators called to fight. "Good luck...", he says in a way that most people would get that he did not mean it...
Gladiator_Eben |
"Eben, if I were you I would hope for my defeat also, as hollow as that hope may be.".
Just a heads'up, the gladiator's name is Shaye, but he's somewhat of a project, and I thought I might be replacing him (ya know, after he gets splatted by one of you guys), so I did one avatar through which i can run several characters... my glad's name is Shaye.
"Whatver. I'm actually hoping both of you die."
Xythian |
*Xythian rises from a seat in the corner of the room where he has sat motionless for so long. Having spoken to no one since his arrival, little is known about him.*
*Xythian meets the glares of several other gladiators as he passes by. He appears completely unshaken by the pitiful intimidation techniques and walks by them so smoothly, as if he was gliding on air.*
*Xythian pauses a moment in the room's doorway, turning his head slightly to watch those within the room with his peripheral vision. A small slim smile seems to form on his face as he then continues his graceful stride, exiting the room.*
*A foul pungent odor wafts through the gladiators' room.*
*Xythian heads up to the arena early to get a good seat for the fight. He finds a good seat which allows him to keep is back to a wall. The half-elf makes a quick cursory search of the wall to ensure it is indeed solid. Xythian sits down, and resumes his motionless trance.*

Did Xythian just cropdust the Gladiator’s Hall?
Xythian |
*Xythian notices the sun setting, and breaks from his trance. He looks at the stadium's sundial and shrugs in confusion.*
*Xythian notices some of the crowd boo'ing and hiss'ing, while getting up to leave.*
*The stoic half-elf looks down onto the stadium floor where Gladiator Haggar remains standing, unfazed by the delay of the match*
*Xythian ponders to himself if someone forgot to wake the arena official, or if possibly Heshlem chickened out left.*
*The half-elven gladiator knows he's got no where else to be, so he settles in for an unknown wait. The cold hard stone he is seated on is beginning to make his muscles and rump sore, but it is quickly ignored, "pain is for the weak" he mutters under his breath.*

Oh great DM- what image host are you using for the maps? It is blocked for me :( Any chance of a re-up on G-docs or similar? Not fighting right now, so I can follwo when I get home, but will become more of an issue later me thinks.
My work has Gdocs Blocked >< find a site you can see, and i'll make sure i can upload there. I used Flickr this time.

Just a quick clarification. Since the arena are depicted as illusions, can we disbelieve them with interaction or are they more like major creations (i.e. they are actually there)? Also, the foliage to the left of my position, are those cover as soon as I enter a square or do I have to enter a "trunk square" for an oak tree for example?

Major Creations, You cannot Disbelieve them.
Anything in the Green Area of the tree is fine for cover.
