id pay up to $500 for a good pathfinder DVD set be it series or cartoon, (same goes for other good rpg settings done right like WoD but thats beside the point)
hopefully when i finish polishing my writing skills i'll be lucky enough to get a script that'll impress paizo to do something along these lines...

Not making that up.
That can totally work. If it's anything like Slaughter Your World by Richard from Looking for Group, I'll take one song per PF episode!

The general consensus is that the OVA was fantastic but there's quite a bit of debate over the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. I liked them but others complain endlessly.
Yeah I'll second part of that. OVA was awesome check it out for sure. It's a damn fine DnD cartoon. The TV series...meh didn't get into it. Didn't help that it focused more on that guy named Assram tho ;p

Who would like to see Paizo produce an animated series based on it's Adventure Path product line and staring the iconic characters? Maybe start with Rise of the Runelords staring Valeros (as the reluctant leader with character flaws) , Seoni or Ezren (for spellcasting), Kyra or Seelah (as the "moral" center), & Merisiel (because she's just awesome). To show some racial diversity add in Lem and Harsk. Thoughts?
It would be awesome, but I would want to see it done in a stylized psuedo-retro tone. In fact, were it up to me, I would hire the animation team from Pirates Of Dark Water and tell them to reproduce a similar art style.

I, Shane LeRose, of sound mind and body do hearby pledge, that should I ever win the powerball I will invest heavily into making this happen, even if it should cost me the entirety of my new found fortune. A Pathfinder cartoon that focus' on an adventure path each season? It remains eternally fresh and if one season is weak, it won't affect the next. No season will be weak though, and you will never run out of AP's.
Fingers crossed ladies and gentlemen.
It's easy to make pledges when you know that there's about a snowball's chance in Hell that you'll ever be made to live up to them.

Probably because the situation hasn't changed at all.
I dunno, I think they've grown quite a bit. They made a videogame. An animated series or movie could be awesome.
I mean, are they any smaller than WoTC at this point? I think the reason D&D didn't do well on screen was because it was too cheesey to draw in any crowd other than the gaming crowd. I haven't seen the animated series, but that's my take on both movies. But, the film industry has really zeroed in on what audiences want out of such films now days. I feel like a pathfinder animated series could do reasonably well if done properly.

Would such a hypothetical project be done 3-D (claymation or cgi) or 2-D (traditional style)?
On a semi-related note, maybe they could use some of the Pathfinder Online art assets to make some sort of machinima?

... and at the same time they can't go make something obviously ADULT. It'd have to strike a balance.
I think Pathfinder would be best off going for a Legend of Korra/Gravity Falls level of grittiness, really. A Pathfinder show should embrace both the dark and the light seen in the game itself. Plus, I think Pathfinder really needs to shore itself up among younger audiences. The great thing is that we're in an era where kids' shows are being allowed to show more and more complex content (like in the shows I just mentioned, or Steven Universe/Adventure Time). A Pathfinder animated series could not only be a part of that, it could bring in Paizo's standards of diversity and actually advance the current trend.

Not necessary, there's plenty cartoons going dumber and in many increased censorship.
Hopefully we can get a good story with visuals that doesn't look like a failed drawing by a middleschooler.(unfortunately that's how the visuals usually look these days)Aelreth |
So, I think it would be AWESOME to see a Pathfinder Movie/Cartoon based off of say, Rise of the Rune Lords. But, it seems that unless Paizo gets approached by someone who either a) has a good track record, or b) produced a good teaser trailer, Paizo probably is not going to spend their time, energy, or money pushing to get something made.
That said, considering that all the adventure paths are already split up into 6 chapters, you COULD pick one of the adventure paths and make it into a 6 part movie series. RISE OF THE RUNE LORDS, Chapters 1-6! I would want to watch THAT!

It won't happen as an American production because Americans are stuck in the mentality that animation is a children's thing. And Pathfinder is not Nicktoons material.
