"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Kai gives this unscaled a level stare and quirked an eyeridge at his odd statement. Kai's chest seems to collapse as he gives a large sigh when the unscaled took no action to cut lines or to act at all, typical and useless. He spares Keev a quick glance, his eyes betraying a glint of sadness at her wounded state and how she pushed her self to the limits. Her noble sacrifice being wasted almost made him bow his head in grief, but he didn't show anymore grief because he had too much respect for her to do that. He would get her too the Brotherhood, to proper rest and healing no matter what burden he had to bear.
She deserved that at least for what she had done.
Kai looked back at the unscaled before him and felt an emptiness he hadn't felt until before the change. They are quick to save their 'ship' but not aid one who held the line, that is disgusting, how do they not bow their heads in shame!. Perhaps the heat was getting to him but Kai was quickly losing patience at some of the ineptness surrounding him. Some stood their as if waiting for the world to hand them their solution, others work like dogs or bleed themselves dry while they act like fools, he would have laughed had he not need to the strength to avoid doing something foolish.
He started to roll his shoulders again to release the tension that had built up, his skull ached like someone had kicked him but he refused to show how weary he was. Keeping calm and with a determined look in his eyes, he moved to the rigging ropes. He inspected the tar covered standing lines and running lines as he contemplated. The distance was far and the ropes varied in strength, would they hold together? After a moment he looks to those assembled, particular the unscaled who last spoke. He quietly says something in draconic before turning away. "Wux renthisj shar tir ehis..." He sighs looks back at the rigging before him with narrowed eye slits, gripping the rope with one hand tested its tension, satisfied he released it and inspected his now tar covered hand as he spoke.
"Thiss iss not Hawsser rope but we will make due... Cutting the sstanding liness will weaken the masst and make it ssussceptible to ssnapping when waves hit the sship. Sso once we are nearly clear of thiss, wretched water, we need to sstop where the wavess do not come and repair the liness. Then we will be close enough to the Brotherhood to usse more lines and have sstronger liness to pull it the resst of the way. Do not sstand there let's get to work, cutting thesse liness! they won't do it themsselvess and we will need to bind them together, so move your tzarreth! Unless you wish to stay here?" Looking away from them Kai looks for something sharp and gets to work cutting the lines.
He does laugh as he sees Suny is a already in motion, a blur of speed and energy, as always she does not fail to impress him. He barks in his rough elven "Irilmw ilan amemn illa ylayilc, we lean amemn aeymlaaco irilmw cailela laesa oem sa!"
Diplomacy [ooc]1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 Kai is trying to get them moving and activly cutting and splicing the lines, albeit he isn't so nice about it, it still beats standing around and he will not ask twice.
"You speak but do nothing...
"Hard at work as usual, do not work yourself hard leave some for me!
HAPPY TURKEY DAY GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE!

"Suny" |

Suny just looks over a shoulder with her cheerful grin,
"Don't ye worry none about that, mate. I remember th' offer ye made t'me afore." She gives him an obvious stage wink even as she continues on with helping do all the things that need doing.
"Ah! Also, we dun't need t' take down all th' hawser ropes. I'm sure these folks have enough anchor lines we's c'n put t' use fer th' towin'." She adds.
Aye indeed! Happy turkey day t' them's whut celebrate it! (^_^)

![]() |

Happy Thanksgiving all, hope the day was good for everyone.
Diplomacy: Faced with the hope of rescue, none of the crew has any problems being motivated in cutting line and collecting it, I'm also sure there is plenty to reach the ship should they all be tied together.
Mini-Event: The best laid plans of Lizard and Men.
Having gathered more than enough rope segments, the crew now has the task of making a single tow line with it.
Use Rope Checks:
All rolls are secret, i.e. DM rolled.
Knotters for this event is someone tying the ropes into sturdy, hopefully slip free knots. For ease of math I'm not going to try and estimate the size of the sections and simply say that there is going to be 4 potential break points. (this is not information you really have IC, so treat it as OOC info.)
You can leave it up too one person, or multiple people. Decide who you want to do it, and We'll go from there. The base DC for a knot is only 10, but for this event they cannot be any take 10s or take 20 rolls to tie the knots.
Any other skills you wish to use let me know ahead of time.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

As Kai starts pulling down some of the rigging he notice's a flurry of activity, as the once downtrodden crew of the Sea Born join the effort with reckless abandon. He smiles toothily as he reconsider's his former opinion of them. Soon he is shouting encouragement and helping others to carry or move heavier burdens, the whole process improves Kai's mood.
With the work completed the difficult task of splice begins, Kai seems almost apprehensive as he looks at the vast amount of knotting and splicing needed for their plan to succeed. "I have learned much thesse passt turnss but my knowledge of ssailorss knotss is lacking. I will asssisst if I can." Turning away from the mass of ropes, he moves to the small sack of supplies he brought and turns to the tired looking crew of the Sea Born.
"It iss a meager ssupply but it iss better then empty sstomachss, we have much work ahead of uss and hunger will do us no good. Sso pleasse eat and drink." He takes a small amount of food from the sack and leaves the rest of it for everyone else to share. He approaches Nerine and Keev and proffers it to them.
"Jusst in casse you are hungry, coi ui ti wer bensvelkilti achthend shar coi ui shio si dronilnra, si mi bivai." With that he sets the food near them, bows his head respectfully, and returns to helping with the tow line. He doesn't take any food for himself, he is no a stranger to hunger because his tribe suffered many times when hunting grew scarce and he always chose to hunt hungry rather then eat when others needed it more.
"It is not the best food but it is all I brought, I am sorry."
Kai will assist in helping with the knots, he won't do the main job. Unless no one else volunteers to do it, then he will reluctantly will try his best to succeed at making the tow line.

"Suny" |

*Raises hand* Um, technically, DM sir, shouldn't we be 'splicing' the ropes together? As opposed to 'knotting' or 'tying' them together? Which Kai mentioned above. (^_^)
As for any other skills fer th' rope joinin'? I was hoping Suny's basic "Sailor" profession would be a help? Happy t' have th' DM fill th' character in.(^_~)

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Knotting and splicing is pretty much the same, especially where rope use is concerned xD. I could see 'Profession: Sailor' being a viable skill to use but that will be up to Willpower since profession is mainly for money making and 'practicing a trade' it sounds like theres wiggle room but i'm not so sure :/ ~

![]() |

Willpower, not sure if you noticed, but Darius and I are waiting for a description of what's in the hold. That way, we can continue this wonderful, wonderful adventure. Just a heads-up.
splice, knot, tomatoes, potatoes :)
Area: The Hold of Seaborn
There never was a large crew aboard the cog, so supplies are minimal, There are a few tools, basic supplies to fix a leak or hole in the ship, a few spare coils of rope, and other odds and ends.
Food and water barrels are low, there's a few half full barrels of various fruits, and at best a water barrel in tact.
The only thing that seems to catch the eye for being out of the ordinary is a small wooden crate with some gold leaf hammered metal edges. It is otherwise ordinary looking, with no other marks or symbols.
Assuming you want to open this, hence why you are reading this. this is what it holds:
Besides a few blankets, or makeshift pillows for sleeping there is nothing else of immediate note in the hold.

"Captain" Devannis Pantera |

With a resounding sigh, he checks everything he can possibly see - no mere eye-looker, Devannis wanted to know what had happened here to see so few left alive. He checked all the crates, all the barrels, and did not stop his search for anything.
All the while, though, he ensured he kept an eye on Darius - something was off about that one.
As he opens the specially treated crate, he does take a good gander, not touching what he saw, and closes it again. He nods firmly, and stretches a bit before turning back to Darius.
"Mr. Drevard, it seems you were running low anyways - it is good fortune that we came upon you! We'll be ensuring you and your fellows get their welcome aboard our ship, and hope we can all cooperate from there."
He smiles, and walks out of the room - only to see the effort given forth by his crew. It can only bring a brighter smile to his face, and deftly watches for just a moment - and then lends a hand himself.
"Here - tie them like this. They should last a bit longer that way!"

Darius D. Drevard |

Now that the formalities were over, Darius resolves himself to return to work finishing the makeshift oar and if possible aiding with the rope though he knew was not so proficient with such skills he just needed to keep himself busy.
"Aye captain"
That would take some getting used to!
"Perfect, now that you are seemingly referring all the responsiblity to this smiling bafoon maybe we can get back to the loathsom brooding we are so accustomed to, plan a few crimenal acts perhapse?...

![]() |

DM: Tying the knots, splicing the strands, and checking the work takes time. As the day progresses, the air becomes like a noose around your necks. Heavy, palpable, oppressive, if it had a voice it would whisper sweet destruction into your ear.
Saving Throws required by all on board the Seaborn please.
If you fail the DC please continue to read. Please keep in mind a 1 on the die always fails.
You are suddenly drained of strength and stamina as if hit by a forceful blow, it leaves you winded and stunned.
Effect: You take 1d3 points of WIS damage, and 1 point of CON damage.

"Suny" |

Fort Save:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Suny continues to bounce around the deck. Doing her best to help every one get things done. She is also not above drawing buckets of sea water up and simply dumping the contents over her head.
Shaking the salt water from her blond hair,
"That don't feel refrshin' a'tall..." Are her words even as she sprays water every where with every shake. She puts the bucket down and skips back to her work.
"C'me on mates! Lets get finished an' out'a this place!! Th' sooner we be free, th' sooner we c'n get wet an' slippy!" (^_^)

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Fortitude Save1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Kai focused on coiling the rope as it was spliced, he ignored the angry glare of the red sun hanging above them like some ominous eye and the staleness in the air smelled like death warmed over it rankled his scales. He worked himself to the bone and took short rests only when his muscles began to cramp, this day he could not falter, he could not be lazy! Too many depended on their success and one in particular needed a place to find peaceful rest to recover.
He inhaled the stale air and gave a great sigh as he rubbed the sides of his aching skull, the pain never leaves it only grew worse until he slept or when he was engaged by something new.
He couldn't allow pain to slow him today.
He laughed with a booming bark as he watched Suny antics as she bounce about the deck, sometimes Kai wondered where her energy came from. He bowed his head in respect to Captain Devannis as he too joined their efforts and spoke to him as he busied himself in improving upon their knotting and splicing.
[/b]"How goess your ssearch?[/b] He pauses a moment before bowing his head to Darius respectfully as well "Captain'ss I sshould ssay, Iss there something you need me to do other then this?" He tilts his head inquisitively for a moment before he returns to busying himself with coiling and piling.

Darius D. Drevard |

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Darius wipes the sweat from his brow before it could wash over his eyes. "would you take this as an omen or what, looks like a certain someone can still reach us and is probably laughing it's arse off right now" "It could keep laughing until the world ends for all I care" Darius whispers quitely before he notices the sharptoothed mountain of muscle splicing the rope on deck;
"Please call me Darius, your captain is the only captain here me I'm just trying to survive like the rest of the crew"
He quietly returns to his tasks seemingly loosing any peripheral awareness of anyone else near him for several moments.

DM NOTE: Being a creature born of the sea it would stand to reason you would notice that the water seems thick, almost viscous, more so anyway than your used to. While it does not harm you an any noticeable way, it certainly feels (almost imperceptibly) odd.

"Suny" |

*To DM* Aye, I remember that from yer previous post. T'is why I done wrote the description like I done. (^_^)
Suny bounces up from where she's been helping splice ropes and looks to the work other people are doing at finishing off the large paddles, or sweeps. Then she looks at the people...( fellows ) who will be manning the sweeps and...well there is definitely a smile upon Suny's face.
C'me ON! Lets get this ship movin'!(^_~)

"Captain" Devannis Pantera |

Fortitude Save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Devannis gives a smile - and as he hoists the rope about, he ensures the section of the rigging is put to good use. Hemp isn't cheap, at least now, anyways.
"C'mon, lads! Hoist it about! Let's get these folk out of their mess! PULL!"
Sorry for my very, very delayed post. I had issues involving my family, and I'll be posting regularly soon.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

If we want to roleplay the pull then I can set this post up for a different time, upto you guys ( ^_^)-d
After hours of toiling beneath the angry red glare of this worlds strange new sun, the Seaborne finally moved beyond the edge of the dead water and the sound of the sea lapping against its hull was almost music to Kai's ears. How they had managed it, he couldn't really recall, but now the ship sat on the edge of the dead water and there was even more work to be done. The ships hull would need inspection, its mast and rigging would need to be re-rigged if she proved seaworthy.
He casts a weary eye towards where Keev was, quickly checking on her condition, before he went back to the task of removing the knots from their tow rope. His skull felt like it would crack open from the throbbing pain, but there was no rest yet. No not yet. As he worked he regarded his fellow crew mates, including those of the Seaborne.
"If we are to make ssure thiss sship iss to ssurvive then we musst move quick before bad weather hitss. The masst is in the mosst danger an needss itss sstanding liness checked before we re-rig the resst of the sship. Unless the Captain's have anything elsse to ssay Nerine, Suny you know what you need to do." Flexing one of his scaled hands, he looks fondly at the Seaborne crew as he tries to appraise them yet again. They had impressed him with their determination, but they're skills were unknown to him. He gave a frustrated sigh as he stood up, staggeringly slightly from weariness as he approached the Captains.
"Captain Dariuss, I am believing that we are to ssave the Sseaborne, yess?" He pauses a moment and looks at Darius curiously before continuing "You have ssaid that you are not a Captain but ssomeone will have to lead the Sseaborne. You know them..." Kai shuts his eyes as he rubs his head for a moment, before opening them and finding himself unable to focus.
"Forgive me, I musst return to work." He turns away, slowly walking back over to the pile of towing rope and continues where he left off.
Cog
The cog is the basic medieval-era sailing ship. It is a singlemasted
sailing ship with a round, sturdy hull. It has a partial
deck (the waist of the ship is not decked over, but the ends are)
and raised bow and stern platforms that are open, as opposed
to being enclosed like a true forecastle or sterncastle. It is
seaworthy, but not very handy in adverse winds.
Nefs, roundships, or knorrs use these same statistics. A
knorr or roundship also has an oar speed of 5 ft. in addition
to the sailing speed.
Cog: Colossal vehicle; Seaworthiness +2; Shiphandling
–2; Speed wind × 20 ft. (poor);
Overall AC –3;
Hull sections 16 (sink 4 sections);
Section hp 80 (hardness 5);
Section AC 3; Rigging Sections 1;
Rigging hp 60 (hardness 0),
AC 1; Ram 4d6;
Mounts 1 light and 1 heavy;
Space 40 ft. by 20 ft.;
Height 10 ft. (draft 10 ft.);
Complement 20; Watch 4;
Cargo 40 tons (Speed wind × 10 ft. if 20 tons or more);

"Suny" |

As the work continues on...and on....and on....
Fort Save:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Even Suny's behavior wilts under the close, muggy heat aboard the Seaborn. By the time the tow rope is pulling the ship free and the heftier crew are manning the sweeps, all Suny does is sag against the railings, her cheerful smile a faded ghost, her blond hair flat, dull and plastered to her scalp. So exhausted is she that the physiques of those hauling at the great oars no longer attract her attention.
When the ship seems free of it's conundrum, and Kai begins talking to the Captains, all Suny does is sigh, slump to the deck and then slide side ways to lay in a boneless heap upon the deck.
"At's it. I be done fer th' day. Some one git th' strainer! I bin in'a pot too long an' done turned int'a soggy noodle!" She quips softly.
Though as the first breeze stirs across people, a sure indicator they're truly free of the weird that had almost claimed the Seaborn's doom Suny too stirs.
"Ah, t'bugger wit this!" She exclaims, even as she shucks her sweat stained shirt, then begins to wriggle out of her crumpled canvas pants. "If'n any one needs me, I be soakin." And with that she falls over board, into the swell of the sea.
Swim Check:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31(To dive in)
And seeming to not even leave a ripple after the softest of splashes.
Yay! Finaly gettin' slippy an' nekkid! (^_^)

"Captain" Devannis Pantera |

"C'mon, lads. We're almost done here!"
These words echoed in his mind as he spoke them, and headed back to the Brotherhood. He coughed lightly as he stopped exerting himself, and boarded his ship.
From here he took his leave from the deck, and closed the door to his cabin after entry. Seating shortly after, Devannis took his hat off, and disrobed to comfortable clothes, and began to work on a navigation chart. He updated them to show where they'd recovered the Seaborn, and began to write in a journal to himself.
I may post the journal at a later date. Who knows... also, in class.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Welcome back Captain good luck at school! We will see you when you get back~ Although I am looking forward to your journal. =D
Kai chuckled as he watched Suny shed her silly clothes and escape to the depths of the sea. Lucky unscaled.... He watched bleary eyed as Captain Devannis left the Seaborne, taking refuge back on-board the Brotherhood, and noticed in turn that Darius looked exhausted and was unresponsive. Kai decided then that action was needed to be taken lest they loose what precious momentum they had going, he forced himself upright as he surveyed the exhausted crew of the Seaborn and that of his own comrades from the Brotherhood crew. He knew they were nearing their limits, some quicker then others, but they had to get the Seaborn securely rigged before this world decided to test them yet again.
He moved among those still gathered on-board the Seaborne and as he walked he spoke loud and clearly. Making sure that all nearby could hear including any looky-lou's on the Brotherhood. He was hoping to inspire them to continue moving forward or aid in securing the Seaborne for sailing the seas proudly again.
"I can ssee you are all tired, you have all worked hard and did what you had to do! For thosse who are in need of rest, you sshould find a place to resst and return to duty only when you feel you can. For thosse of you who are sstrong enough to continue on, we musst ssecure the masst. Once we are ssure it iss ready for the ocean again, then we can take a much needed resst!"
He turns and stalks over to the gangway leading across to the Brotherhood. He stands on the side of the gangway, leading to the Seaborne, and fixes his gaze on any who seem to be apprehensive over assisting this 'other' ship. His voice is clear and firm as he speaks to those nearby on the Brotherhood. "I know that our ssuppliess are tightly rationed ass it iss but right now we need to do what musst be done to get our ssisster sship ssailing again. We will alsso be giving care to their wounded, all of thiss musst be done. If you want to contesst thiss then you will have to come and find me, I hope your reasons are sstrong. I will only remind you all once that we may be all that iss left from our world, and that this worldss waterss are full of life. Sso we will ssurvive this even if we musst bare through timess of hunger. But no matter what we musst do thiss Together or not at all! So I assk thosse of you willing to lend aid to do sso. In the sshort time we have been together I have tried to do what was besst for all of uss I will not lead you down a falsse trail, I know we will make it through thiss. Believe in our Captain'ss sskill, and believe in my wordss."
With a respectful nod of his head Kai returns to working on the rigging, he works until his scaled hands bleed and his knees begin to buckle.

"Suny" |

The last time Willpower posted anything about the ocean it sounded like it was fairly deep, i'm picturing we are in the middle of the atlantic or some such. Just assuming mainly because of how we haven't seen a spot of land yet ;) so it must be fairly deep but I honestly couldn't say.
Okeys, happy feeling gone....
Suny blissfully drifts and sinks with the current. Until a deeper darkening and chilling of the waters. Blinking her eyes open and staring down into the abyssal depths, Suny gives a small 'Eeep' of exclamation and turns, swimming back towards the surface.

![]() |

As near I can tell, I'm up to date on actions, but If I overlook anyone feel free to speak up.
It is not easy pulling the Cog out of the still water, but the deed is done, and without any fanfare or incident. The crew of the Sea Born are very grateful.
The Sea Born is a much smaller ship by comparison, it is only a single mast sailing vessel, and it's mast is currently withdrawn, as the rigging was used to pull it from it's watery prison. It could be repaired with enough time, and there would be plenty of hands to aid in the task.
Sailing it would require a crew however, and besides Four-O-Four, who spouts on endlessly about facts and trivia related to shipbuilding, navigation, astrology, piloting, and other hard to follow subjects, none of the other npcs claim to have much experience operating a vessel larger than a rowboat.
Possible events:

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Kai's feelings on the matter
1. Kai is of course adamant on getting Keev back into good shape, but since he is a clumsy claw at healing he is hesitant to attempt anything himself.
2. Try to repair and retrofit the Seaborn with a new crew if possible, since it will take a few days to get the Seaborn sea worth again. We should have plenty of time to teach some of the NPC's about basic sailing skills and they can learn through trial and error as we move along the seas. We could possibly place a PC or two on-board the Seaborn~ to help continue the training of the other crew and spice things up a bit.
3. Kai can hold his breath for a long time (a little over 7 mins) if we want to try and investigate the heart of the cursed area, besides if we decide to fix the Seaborne we have plenty of time to search this dead zone as well.
4. Have Garth continue his scouting, especially since the ship is in a fixed position it should be fairly easy for him to return so long as we don't encounter a storm.
Perhaps breaking into teams would be best to accomplish these tasks.

"Captain" Devannis Pantera |

The Captain can only think of a few possible outcomes, seeking but to help his fellows in their missions and personal lives, as well as the boat as a whole. He believes, point per point...
1: The wounded half-dragon does need medical care, and he would most likely want Nerine to oversee it, since she has replaced Avion - also, I would like to have a few others watch and oversee so they can learn medical facts and get training later on it.
2: The Seaborn needs help. Devannis will probably instruct Kai and Suny to the Seaborn to assist in its navigation for the time being, and help train the other sailors - leaving Devannis to man the wheel and handle the normal day-to-day assignments on the Brotherhood.
3: As for the cursed area? It gives Pantera the creeps. It's not worth his time, or the time of his fellows, to stay. It only brings bad omens, and may trouble the crew further as far as he can tell.
4: Beyond this, Devannis would like the original Seaborn crew to stay on the Brotherhood, whilst some of his best crew/sailors go to the Seaborn to get her steady. We need both ships operable ASAP, as a still ship is a dead ship.
These are the best things Devannis can imagine for the time being, and will execute them in short manner if not stopped. (Meaning, my next post.)

Darius D. Drevard |

Darius will attempt to find a secluded corner somewhere and try to stay out of the way of the more skill competent crew members and enjoy the slight moment of relief of leaving the trapped water.
- Though he shares the concern for keev but he knows there is nothing he can do for her at the moment as it is beyond his ability. thus he will watch from afar
- being personally detached from the sea born itself he will leave its ultimate fate to those in charge.
- As far as the trapped water is concerned he would sooner be miles away from there if at all possible.
other than this Darius will remain quite allowing is conscience to brood and bribe while he watches

"Suny" |

Sorry, not much time to post anything. >_>
1) Get the frak AWAY from the stinky-poo-bad water ASAP!
2) People need time to rest and recover from what, for them, seemed almost certain doom.
3) Yay! Another ship! We're forming an Armada! (^_^)
4) How/In what order we do 1 & 2 are the tricky things.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

Kai isn't going to disagree with the Captain one bit, he's just willing to do whatever it takes to assist and in anyway he can. Trying to perform his duties as a Quartermaster as best he can. Kai is wanting to learn more about healing from Nerine if possible in exchange for teaching her draconic but will do what ever the Captain needs him too.

"Suny" |

Suny drifts back to the surface, relaxing there as she floats amongst the waves that softly bump and slap against the ship's hull.
*Ahhh...jus' give me a nice lagoon some wheres...* she thinks dreamily as the suns warmth makes a nice counterpoint to the soothing cool of the ocean's waves around her.
*Some where folks c'n just...be...* Though other, darker images begin to gather at the edges of her thoughts. Glimmers of the events of days and weeks past. Of actions and deeds....
Suny shakes her head and twists, dipping deftly below the surface again, seeming to try and swim away from the things chasing her thoughts. After but a few agile and graceful strokes, she surfaces on the other side of the boat, bobbing amongst the waves and trying to attract the attention of the other sea Elves amongst their number. Doing her best to entice her friends into the water, the better to share this brief, relaxing moment.
Should I be makin' some type o' skill roll t'get me friends in'erested in'a dip? >_>

DM: You have a feeling none of them want to go in once they hear about the troubles with the other ship and the cursed water. But, You can try to influence them with a roll if you wish.

![]() |

None of the crew, of either ship, has any desire to jump in the water. The two Sea Elves from the Sea Born look aghast as you splash about in the water. They look as if to warn you, but are cut off by the gleaming Mithral covered Warforged.
Four-Oh-Four(common, to Suny): "Statistically speaking, you have just raised your odds of dying from one thousand to one, to approximately three...maybe two, to one. These are not favorable odds for you."
I'm going to assume all people are on board the Brotherhood right now. And will need to know what direction people are wanting to go with next.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

I was waiting on the Captains orders~ ;)
Kai was going to be still on the Seaborn trying to get their mast setup and get the rigging up again. Since i'm assuming we still have plenty of daylight left to burn. Mainly because if a storm comes the Seaborn is as good as sunk without any sails.
It sounded like the Captain was going to leave his navigational charts early and make his will known. Also I think he is busy with final's or some such~ Ah college life and soon I will be in that heck soon as well

"Suny" |

As it quickly becomes apparent that no one else wants to have fun splashing about Suny sighs and climbs any convenient rope back onto the Sea Born.
After thoroughly shaking herself down as a mean of getting rid of any excess water, she nonchalantly pads over to her pile of discarded gear and begins wriggling into them.
"Seriously mates, th' water be fine." She tries to reassure her friends and the other sea elves. "Honestly, th pair of ye need t' get wet an' slippy soon. Yer both lookin' right peaked."

Devannis finally leaves the stronghold that is known as the captain's quarters - a place that brings sure fear if ever called there alone. It is here that the Captain moves to the wheel, and ensures none touch it. He clears his throat, and moves to the balcony.
"My fellow sailors and refugees, I have not only started the organization of lost fellows, I have given us a second vessel of which to guide us from this hellhole! We have suffered, through much effort and aide of my friends and the crew, and as a result, we have gained an ally and his own crew, as well as a place to put many of our supplies. If any of you wish to join that ship, please prepare now, and do so by morning - for we will stay afloat nearby for the evening, and sail out in the morning.
"I also want two officers, Suny and Kai, to sail with the Seaborn, and ensure that the boat is sent along in the best manners - granting repairs and needed leadership. This way, we will have two competent crews, rather than one expert and experienced one. We are now sister ships, and begin to form a small gathering.
"I did find a current, and I wish to follow it further along as we prepare to leave this evil place - the water disturbs my nose, and fill sit with its alien presence. It is then that we can begin to mend the hopes and dreams of our new friends, and guide them back to the hope we have in our hearts this day. I also wish to address that the wounded ally we have rescued will be treated in time by our own dear Nerine, who shows great proficiency in mending wounds. In time, she may yet recover from her injuries.
"If any of you, at any time, wish to ask myself or the officers further questions, please do so in private - I request this in the most polite of ways. Thank you for your patience, and I will see you in the morning."
Here he immediately leaps the balcony, and walks back into his cabin, shutting the door firmly - foreshadowing a mood of isolation until the morning, perhaps.

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

After the Captain returns to his cabin once more Kai steps forward and address the gathered crew and passengers. Speaking so that his voice is easily heard Kai says "The Sseaborn requiress much lesss then the Brotherhood to man and becausse of this I assk for ssix to volunteer. Any with experience will do ass we sshall continue to learn ass we ssail our new ssister sship."
Allowing those present to think over his words he stalks over to find Nerine so that he can speak to her "Friend Nerine, I sshall teach you my tribess sspeech whenever you are able to come aboard the Sseaborn." He bows his head respectfully to the brotherhood's small caprenter.
He waits patiently for her response as he waits on volunteers to present themselves before continuing onto the next task of gathering some supplies to the Seaborne.

"Suny" |

Suny laughs as she wanders over to where Nerine is coming aboard the Seaborn, though slightly muffled as she continues to pull her shirt over her blond mop of hair,
"Kai din't mean that, silly. He wus askin' about ye comin' aboard an' seein' t' th' ill an' folks whut's been banged up a-ways." (^_^)
Suny gives Nerine a friendly hug in greeting as well, then stops and glances around the deck, even as she scratches her blond mop in thought. As she looks around with a puzzled expression on her face,
"Now, where'd I go an' leave me pants...?"" Suny muses to herself.
