I could totally see someone photoshopping in a Terminator's Red Eye on your T-Rex with a Laser Canon coming out of the mouth, or something like that.

I changed my avatar once and people freaked out.

There's a value to having the same, unaltered avatar—it's easier to recognize.

And on top of that, we don't have the resources or time to do photoshoping stunts like that really.

And on top of THAT... I really like my avatar and I'd rather not tamper with the artist's work.

maybe just for halloween?

Would it not be wrong to describe Kazavon as Smaug meets Ramsay Bolton?

Currently unrevealed, as far as I know. If we've said more, it would have been in the article in Mummy's Mask.

The Ramsay Bolton part is not bad... but Smaug isn't exactly on target. Kazavon was more into living as a human than as a dragon—he was kinda weird as far as dragons go in that regard.

I don't remember. It was years and years ago. My previous avatar was the fiendish T-Rex mini, and I think I changed it to a goblin riding a deinonychus or something like that, but it only stayed for a few hours before I switched it back on account of the freak out.

Not gonna say, since there's a good chance those are the next 5 APs I'm gonna do. ;-)

At the start of Pathfinder though, when I was doing Runelords, that list would have been:

1) An AP in a city with a bard as the end boss.
2) An AP all about drow and demons.
3) An AP about genies.
4) Jade Regent.
5) Iron Gods.

As it turned out, I pretty much got to do all those.

And yes, there's at least one that I haven't done yet that would be on that list had it been published yet.

I really like your Number 1, we need some more urban APs like Curse of the Crimson Throne.

On that line of thought.

What location type of AP do you like working on most?
Urban, Woods, Dungeon, etc..

Liberty's Edge

Would it be possible to pull off a Pathfinder AP that was low-fantasy and low-magic ala Game of Thrones? Or would that be too restrictive of the system for a published AP?

That's not really the world Golarion was built to be, nor was it the game Pathfinder was built to play.

Nor do I think it'd be a wise business decision to build and AP that bans 75% of the character options out there.

I was reading through Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the daemon harbingers really stood out to me - I'd love to learn more, but there doesn't seem to be much published on them.

I realize that you've just finished an AP stuffed to the rafters with demons and evil outsiders probably aren't so hot right now, but do you have any plans on releasing more material for daemons in the close to intermediate future...?

Can summoners have children with their eidolons? If so, would it be possible for someone born of such a bloodline develop sorcerer powers?

Am I allowed to ask actual rule questions?

How disabled is creature with the dazed condition?

Does a flying winged creature with the dazed condition fall from the sky?
Does a swimming creature with the dazed condition float to the surface?
Would a dazed character holding onto a cliff edge fall?

Sorry not to troll.

Wait - "can an eidolon take advantage of their summoner while the summoner has the dazed condition so the eidolon and the summoner have children" - would that add enough trolling?

Unless the GM isn't comfortable with that in their game, of course.

You can ask whatever rules questions you want. I might answer rules questions if I feel the answer is obvious. I won't if it's unclear how the ruling might pan out, or if I get the feeling the question is being asked in a way that someone is fishing for ammo to fight against their GM with or to cause trouble in PFS.

In this case, it's pretty simple. The dazed condition is pretty obvious—it says the creature is unable to act normally and can take no actions. That includes movement. A flying creature falls. A swimming creature floats in place (it won't float to the surface though—the game doesn't track buoyancy ratings). A dazed character who's climbing would fall. Exceptions can exist at the GM's discretion.

And a summoner who takes advantage of their eidolon in that way can indeed do so, but without the eidolon's consent, that's a chaotic evil act and it should have immediate alignment repercussions.

Would the bloodline be a single, consistent one (like Impossible or Arcane, seemingly the most likely ones), or would the bloodline depend on the eidolon (like an eidolon shaped like a dragon granting Draconic or a fish-shaped one granting Aquatic, for example)?

What do you think about mini-games or competitions for players to compete in for stuff in game?

I was watching some gameplay of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and the guy was doing a challenge to ride on horseback and shoot at targets to score points. It occurred to me, something like that could be set up by having targets with varying ACs. Like the Bullseye being AC 30, the Inner Ring AC 25 and the Outer Ring AC 20 or something. The reward is a larger quiver, but something like that could be a 'unique' Efficient Quiver of some sort.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on in game mini-games for rewards or prices for characters? Especially as an alternative to just shopping for stuff.

I like them. We often put things like this into our adventures, be it something relatively short like Blood Pig in Pathfinder #9, or something much longer like the play in Pathfinder #26. But these usually fill the role of additional challenge, not rewards. I'm not sure having a mini game would work as a prize or reward in and of itself, but certainly one that you could play to GET an award makes sense—like the tournament challenges in Pathfinder #35.

Dear Tyrant Lizard King,
Why do the Runeslave Giants bear a symbol for a rune of magic opposite of that for their lord? (i.e. Wrath instead of Greed for Karzoug)

Also would it be fair to assume that other Runelords would grant different powers to their Runeslaves than a haste ability? Something related to that Runelords school of magic perhaps?

That's an unfortunate art error. The giant illustrated on page 413 of Runelords should have the rune of greed on his belly in order to match the role they play in the adventure.

And no, all runneslaves gain the same arcane surge ability.

Do Blackfire Adepts fight among themselves when Lawful ones who summon devils encounter Chaotic ones who summon demons? Or is it more along the lines of "We're all Blackfire Adepts here. Who cares who summons what? Let's team up and use both!"

Does the Mythic upgrade to Eldritch Heritage make taking Improved and Greater Eldritch Heritage at later levels unnecessary?

The latter, for the most part.

Is the drow noble a viable race as is, or would I have to make adjustments to them? I want to be a drow noble summoner, but another player is complaining that it is to OP, the gm and the rest of the group are ok with me if I decide on it, though that arent outright fine with my choice. I find that the drow nobles spell-like abilities greatly compensates for the summoners rather small spell repertoire until my eidolon strengthens sufficiently become a primary weapon. However I can see where the other player is coming from, can you find a solution besides outright LAing?

Drow nobles are intended to be monsters fought by PCs. They're pretty powerful—in fact, of ALL the races detailed in the Advanced Race Guide, drow nobles are the most powerful, according to their RP breakdown (At 41 RP, drow nobles are 13 points above the next most powerful race, the trox, and 32 points higher than humans.)

We invented the plain old drow as an option for PCs—at 14 RP, they're still a bit more powerful than the core races, but not so much more powerful that they'll disrupt balance.

My suggestion would be for you to play a regular drow, not a drow noble.

I have a few alchemist questions regarding tumor familiars:

First, I've always been confused by the "deliver touch spell" and "share spell" note in the tumor familiar description. Do extracts and mutagens really act exactly like spells with these abilities? Could I for instance have my familiar deliver a mutagen or a non-infusioned extract to another person? If not, what is the overall intention of that sentence in the description? If so, are all extracts considered target: self or does it default to the spell description?

Second, if a tumor familiar has the valet archetype, can the alchemist/familiar team effectively make two potions a day? It seems like the tumor would have everything he needed but the required spell, so if the alchemist used a second extract slot for the familiars potion would that work or does it actually have to come from the familiar itself?

Thanks a lot!

Alright, thanks for the suggestion, one last question. I being a summoner, plan on using lesser planar binding quite frequently, I think that a good way to employ evil outsiders would be to use the soul gems produced by Cacodaemons( I plan on forming a servitude contract with one.) However, while I know that they are a good way to bargain with daemons, I'm not sure what value other evil outsiders would have for them, While I know this is more up to the gm's discretion he's a very rule abiding fellow, and he suggested that I forward it to one of the big pathfinder authorities and said he would rule as you guys would.

The modern Abyss can be likened to a bottomless pit - Level after level of increasingly inhospitable insanity, spewing demons and corrupting into the maelstrom. That is, it has only one endpoint.

But what was the Abyss like before it erupted into the Maelstrom?

An infinite tube? (And if so, what happened to the other 'half' when part of it because the 'top'?)

A loop or ouroboros? If so, does that mean the Abyss has a bottom somewhere from where the loop was broken?

Or has it always been a gaping maw with an infinite digestive track, consuming one plane at a time? (Meaning that it and the qlippoth digested a different multiverse before breaking through into ours.)

You can share extracts with your familiar, but as a general rule a familiar can't deliver touch extracts—extracts don't work that way. In this case, a familiar isn't as useful for this particular thing for an alchemist as it is for a regular spellcaster.

As for the other question... I'm not familiar with the "valet archetype" at all, but my gut reaction is to keep the potion creation to one per day.

In Golarion's Great Beyond, there IS a bottom to the Abyss. No one knows what's down there below the qlippoth for sure though. But the thing that defines the outer planes for our game is that they're overwhelmingly vast... yet for all that vastness, finite in size.
