How does Jeremy Mcgillan type from inside Tom's stomach? Does he have some sort of wireless connection? Tom feels a bit bubbly in the belly. Maybe he does. Maybe Tom should go swallow whole some angry sharks or something to give Jeremy company in there?

What is your favorite race/class combo to play? What is your least? (I'm assuming dwarf....)

Dark Archive

Among the Paizo staff, who's the most intense? Manic? Laid-back?

I shudder to ask, (mainly because of the shark threat. But you think possibly sometime in the future soon we will see some demon or demonlord action in the APs

There's a fair amount of demon stuff going on in "Second Darkness," actually. An AWFUL lot. Drow worship demons, after all.

And the AP we did with Dungeon Magazine at the end just before Pathfinder, "Savage Tide," was about as demonoriffic as an AP could get!

Actual demon lords are like CR 35 or CR 40; they won't be showing up ANYWHERE until we figure out how our Epic Level Rules work.

Did you ever run/play an Epic Level campaign?

Oops. Sorry about that. For D&D 3.x and earlier versions, not the current edition.

Or did I totally misunderstand your reply?

I don't know what you mean by a linear fighter or a quadratic wizard. That sounds like math.

I DO! So much that I wrote a book about demons and the Abyss and demon lords. I wrote such a book twice! and wrote a dozen or so huge articles about demon lords for Dragon!

Demons are the best!

My Savage Tide game went Epic for the last adventure. And I played in a campaign in the late 90's (Jim Butler's game) where my character went from 1st all the way up to about 25th or so.

I'd like to play/run more epic level games, but there's not a lot of folks out there who agree. Because the epic rules for 3.5 are frustrating.

Would a campaign from level 1 set almost entirely in the Abyss work at all? Could first level characters possibly survive adventuring in the Abyss?

+1. I was just reviewing the class last night. I not only like how the hexes work, but the class in general seems closest to the real-world myths than any of the Core or base classes.

I really hope the Witch gets more love in Ultimate Magic. I really want to see a solid Weather Witch PrC, that isn't just about harnessing one aspect of the weather, like lightning or snow, but all of them.

Hey James, if you can, make this happen!!

I'd like witch archetypes adapted from real-world myths and put in their appropriate areas in Golarion. (Witches from the various African cultures have quite distinct abilities than the witches of Japanese mythology.)

I could make it work... I think. But it'd be weird and the players who like paladins would complain at me.

Nope. Jim Butler worked for TSR and came out to WotC after they bought TSR. He worked on several Forgotten Realms books and products and at WotC ended up doing a lot of licensing stuff and working with the video game element (such as Baldur's Gate II and some others).

You're thinking of Jim Butcher.

Devils are fun.

Demons are more interesting to me because devils are all basically just dudes with goatees and pitchforks. Demons can be ANYTHING. Including dudes with goatees and pitchforks if they want.

Hey James, if you can, make this happen!!

ALL spellcasting classes will get more fun stuff in Ultimate Magic. Witch included. And a witch that has something to do with winter (and thus weather) is more or less guaranteed. Since we're publishing a book called "The Winter Witch" and all that...

Are there lots of portals / gates from The Great Beyond’s Abyss to other parts of the Great Beyond? Are they easy to get through?

Not lots, but some. And most are not easy to get through. The Abyss is a VERY bad place to be, and it's not a safe place for lowbies to visit. Making it safe enough for 1st level adventuring takes the teeth out of it.

Already taken care of. Click here for revelation.

MST3K has got to be one of the best things ever created. With the gradual loss of those UHF vampire-Elvis-wannabes who had their movie programs from 1am-5am on Saturday mornings (remember those guys as well? and their vamp queen Elvira? dang she had Great Cleave...) taken over by cable companies, MST3K brought us these movies that would otherwise never be shown anywhere, and in a nice actually entertaining package to soften the blow a little bit.

I miss it (although now you can get them all on DVD), they need to bring it back in some capacity on TV or cable.

Anywho, this is a must-see as well.

I tried Gming CoC turns out I try to slowly make someong go insane, then I start describing things that are sometimes hallucinations there character is having, and sometimes real and dangerous. I then slowly make them want to die before I give them sweet release. I get too disturbing in that game.
