Alright how about if I try this direction if I make a list of the ones I am thinking about creating either familiar or animal companion stats for and send it to you could you just say which ones not to do?:)
Sorry; nope. It's a matter of managing the excitement for the book, marketing, and the like. I can't reveal that much information about what is or isn't in the book yet. That time will come soon, though; the book is hopefully going to the printer in a few weeks... and at that point things are locked down enough with the contents that we can start revealing information.
But the fact is that even now, only a few weeks from sending it to the printer, things can change.

What are your thoughts on Paizo producing a modern campaign setting for Pathfinder at some point?
A big part of Pathfinder's success is that we provide a HUGE amount of support for the rules with our various Adventure Paths, Campaign Setting Material, Player's Guides, novels, modules, and so on. Unless we wanted to do a "fire and forget" setting, which might not be a good idea since that might just result in a money sink that few folks get into, we would want to provide similar support for new campaign settings we release.
And chances are good that a 3rd party publisher will beat us to a modern campaign setting anyway.
Personally... I'm not a fan of modern d20 settings. I much prefer sci-fi or fantasy settings for d20 style games... and not all sci-fi settings at that. I could really get behind a postapocalyptic game, for example, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in one that's more like Star Trek or Star Wars...

(1) Have you ever read the Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony? If so, what did you think?
(2) I noticed in one of your answers that you like the Death character from Neil Gaiman's Sandman (Excellent series, by the way. I collected from issue #1). Has Paizo ever considered trying to get someone like Neil Gaiman as a sort of celebrity writer - perhaps for the short fiction in an AP issue?
(3) If I recall correctly, Vin Diesel is one of several Hollywood types who enjoy D&D. Would Paizo ever consider trying to get someone like that to appear at PaizoCon?

1) I am a HUGE fan of kaiju movies. Godzilla's one of my favorite movie stars, in fact. I'm probably Paizo's biggest kaiju fan, but there are others. Erik's pretty keen on them, and so is Wes, although Wes has some controversial opinions about Mothra and Baragon.
I've never been to Japan.

1) Nope; never read it.
2) Neil is a busy, busy guy. Maybe someday though!
3) At this time, probably not. Maybe in a few years, if Vin Diesel is still famous and Paizo's a megalithic force.

Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
...
The Dark Tower would make an EXCELLENT series. And J. J. Abrams is one of the most talented guys working in TV/Cinema today. It could be VERY good. I wish it was being developed for HBO though.

If I gave Merisiel a new set of throwing knives, would she go out with me? (Ignoring the whole business of her being fictional, that is).
Do you have any products planned set in Molthune and/or Nirmathas (other than the Inner Sea guide, of course)?
Depends on how good the knives were, and whether or not you struck her as a fool or not. And even then... probably not. She's hard to approach and keeps her heart to herself.
No new plans at this time for much about Molthune or Nirmathas beyond the revised World Guide.

Ideally would you guys want this to be a one-shot primer/gateway or would you consider marketing it as separate and sustained basic game -different age demo, playstyles, etc.
Oh yeah - if no one has already asked - favorite Universal monster, if you have one.

I think it's Ron Howard who's doing it, not JJ Abrams (I could be wrong). I think Abrams was offered a chance to do it a few years back and has since backed out. I like the format concept (alternating movie and TV series).

What was the last (most recent) live concert you went to?
How about your very first concert?
What was the BEST live concert you've ever seen?
Have you ever seen Kiss in concert?
Wow! That's really interesting to me. Music and concerts have been such a HUGE part of my life so I find it interesting to hear that.
Do you mind if I ask the follow up? Why not? Just never had the desire? Not into big crowds? Not a live music fan? Opportunity just never presented itself?

James previously said he would get Gary to write something for Pathfinder when Gary let him write code for the website. Obviously Gary is extending the invitation.
Aren’t you guys paying attention to the answers?

How would you make this into a rpg product? Would you go the AP route or something different?
Could you do a one shot box set of post apocalyptic world, with different ways that it happened and different levels of magic and stuff like that?

No, somebody asked when Gary would be able to appear in or write an AP(forget which) and James replied "When i get to write some code for the website. give a little, get a little"
Btw James,
Yes, the 5 people to take on a date could be married/in a relationship. This is a fantasy question, lol.

Probably never. I find some cryptids to be too silly. Like the drop bear.

Ok since demons are out for awhile :( What are the chances of an Osirian campaign. (I recognize it's a slim chance but hey you never know)
We've actually got a few adventures out for Osirion already, as well as a Player's Companion and an entry in the upcoming "Lost Cities of Golarion." As a result, we're not as likely to do an AP set there anytime soon—we'll either be going new places that haven't had as much exploration or returning to old favorites.
That all said... an Egyptian-flavored AP does sound fun. Maybe some day!

Box sets are generally pretty expensive, and we're a bit timid about them. A box set would have to be something we could expect to make a LOT of money on (like, say, a basic Pathfinder game) before we'd really consider it. A sci-fi one-shot RPG is not something we could expect to make enough money on to risk a box set.
That said... a one-shot hardcover book about a post-apocalyptic campaign setting with appropriate rules might be cool. And something I'd love to see Paizo do... especially since I've already got about 90,000 words of that exact thing already written...

If the Paizo offices spontaneously burst into flames and there was only time to save one thing besides yourself, what would you take with you?
Wow. I have too much of my own personal irreplaceable belongings in my office. Thanks for making me paranoid! I'd probably panic and not know what to grab and end up burning to death.

We already have a mystic theurge big bad guy for an AP. Not really into doing another one for a few dozen years. :-P

Ok so no box set that is ok with me, and I am looking forward to the pathfinder Basic box set. You should also tell the people that make decisions that The post-apocalyptic book is going to be huge. I am not sure if that is true I would just like to see one.
So how would magic be handled, would it just use spells as written or would you do something else.

Magic in the basic game? Unknown.
Magic in the post apocalyptic game? Same as how it works in Pathfinder.

How much of a cut does Amazon or other such sites take from you guys?? Do you lose a lot on transactions done through 3rd party sites?
I actually don't know much about how all that works. I believe that everything we sell through a distributor (which includes everything that Amazon sells) is pretty standard at half cover price coming back to Paizo, or something like that. If Amazon super deep discounts a product, we still essentially get paid the same for that product as if they sold it for MSRP or twice that amount.

Ok James......Daemons!
Will any be featured as the main villain (or at least a central character) in an upcoming module or AP?
Does Paizo have any plans for daemon minis?
When are we going to see a Daemon-centric Chronicles book, and how is it coming along?
And, on a completely unrelated note: Can I borrow one of your interns? I promise I'll bring him or her back mostly intact......mostly....
