I just got a NEW favorite mini yesterday, but it's not yet announced so I can't say what it is.
And yeah, I knew about that kickstarter.
Oh cool!
Heh, were you the one who got the Designer Pledge for the KS? :3
No. Turns out I get to design official Pathfinder Lovecraft content for Paizo AND get paid for it. ;)

Great, one more "Guess James Jacobs' ..." thread is about to come into being XD

Hey Mr. Jacobs, can one stealth as part of a Five Foot Step?
Ask your GM.
I'd allow it if I were your GM. Provided you were five-foot-stepping into a square that was a hiding spot, and you weren't being observed at the time by an adjacent foe or if it otherwise seemed logical that you wouldn't be able to do so. It'd be a judgement call I'd make each and every separate time a character attempted it.
If you had hide in plain sight, I'd let you do it even if you WERE being observed at the same time.

So, if I had Hellcat Stealth, which allows me to stealth in Normal or Bright Light, and while observed, but at a -10 penalty, would you allow it? Because the wording implies it is essentially Poor Man's Hide in Plain Sight.

I'm not familiar with Hellcat Stealth at all, so I'd have to look into even allowing that in the first place. If indeed it lets you get Hide in Plain Sight as a feat, then I wouldn't allow the feat, since I'm not a fan of handing out class abilities as feats as a general rule.
So it sounds like, if you were in my game, this wouldn't be an issue since I would be unlikely to allow Hellcat Stealth (if it is indeed a feat) into the game.

Is that the one where everyone who enters the annual Paizo Superstar contest pledges to support the winning Designer?

No... it has nothing to do with Paizo, actually. It's all Sandy's gig.
We're doing our own versions of Lovecraftian monsters, in partnership with Chaosium, to support and expand upon our current offerings in the upcoming Strange Aeons Adventure Path, and are not affiliated with this Kickstarter... although I have indeed thrown in money for it and am eager to see the final product!

Are the Green Faith and Druidism the same thing or are they distinct systems of beliefs and practices that happen to have a lot of overlap?
"Druidism" isn't really an actual game term, but I suppose it encompasses all the belief patterns that druids adhere to. The Green Faith is one such belief pattern.

I suspected as much. Thanks!
Are ALL tower shields rectangular? Can they be any other shape?

An image search on Google for "Tower shield" answers that—they do not have to be rectangular. They just have to be BIG.

Hey, are yall considering making PF official engineers/artificers/gadgeteers sometime soon?
Or an Ultimate Technology type book?
*wink wink, nudge nudge*
Seriously, I've been dying for years for such a product. °_°
You know about the Technology Guide and Iron Gods, yeah? That's what we've got to say on the subject for now.

Do you watch Disney movies?
Have you seen Zootopia?
If you have then...
What alignments would you give the characters from Zootopia?
What is your opinion on that Zootopia has kicked Deadpool off of the Box Office throne?
What do you think of Disney movies?
What type of music do you listen to help inspire you?
A former pathfinder player told me that the game had become less fun (his words not mine) since Paizo has created too many classes and features? I don't agree with him but what do you think?

This is the first time I have ever heard of someone complaining about having more customization and character options!
I look at it like this: No one approaches even the same job in quite the same way.
Even in a marine rifle platoon in modern day, yeah if they were all considered gunslingers they're similar at base. But what about the ninja mofo who has a knack for acquiring stuff like a rogue, that flashy guy who likes knives and swords? How about that weird guy who's so goood in the water he could snipe you from 200m offshore, and would obviously qualify for an aquatic archetype?
The variation may be overwhelming for some, but it allows a GM or player to craft unique characters who aren't just cookie cutters that are all minor variations of a set theme. That's why I like pathfinder, honestly. Because diversity can create a more memorable story when the characters and villains who are similar aren't all the same.
But for the main part of the thread, what is your least favorite aspect of mythic adventures play? Would you recommend any third party supplements, in whole or in part to enhance the play paizo has provided?

I watch Disney movies when they appeal to me.
Haven't seen Zootopia.
I don't really have an opinion on "Zootopia kicking Deadpool off the throne" at all. No movie lasts forever at the #1 spot.
Some Disney movies are excellent. "Lilo & Stitch" is my all time favorite, but I quite adore many others. The studio overall isn't my favorite because they tend to focus on movie genres I'm not as into, but that doesn't mean I hate them.
I have a wide range of musical interests, ranging from movie soundtracks to video game soundtracks, from Pink Floyd to Duran Duran, from Dead Can Dance to Nine Inch Nails. Which one I choose to listen to at any one time is kinda random, depending on my mood I guess.
In my opinion, the only way to make the game less fun is to play with less fun people. Option proliferation certainly gets overwhelming, but there's nothing in the game itself that forces you to have to play with every option. The "less fun" part comes from other folks at the table engendering what can be a sort of competition or arms race to be the best. Building characters for a party should be a team exercise, not a competition.

What are your opinions on Bioware? (Its games, its policies, its staff, etc.)
I've loved pretty much ever RPG game they've put out, and get frustrated at entitled fans who think they know better and get all indignant at some of the stuff they do. Their stories are great, but the way they include NPCs to adventure alongside you in games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age is unrivaled, in my opinion, in the industry, and other companies would do well to look to them for inspiration. Their diversity in games is also VERY welcome, particularly in Inquisition. Very awesome.
I'm not an employee there, but I suspect I've got more insight into their inner workings than most folks who aren't employees there do due to industry connections, and my main fear right now (as it has been since the start) is that EA is going to eventually either force them to fall apart due to meddling, or that the push to get more and more and more high-production for RPGs will force them to compromise.
AKA: As much as I love Mass Effect and Bioware, if the choice came down to t either the glitzy graphics or the story/characters... I'd choose the story/characters every single time, but I fear that today's market pushes games to the glitzy graphics more often than not.

My least favorite part is that we didn't playtest high level mythic content enough for me to make the last half of Wrath of the Righteous as awesome as it was in my head. That's tied with how Mythic seems to have made some fans more unpleasant to interact with than normal.
I don't really have much time to look through third party supplements, so I have no recommendations there.

Since apparently you love Bioware, I've got to ask you to weight in on the following questions.
Who would win in a fight: Grunt or the Iron Bull? Assume that they are both using Dragon Age era equipment, so that Grunt won't have an unfair advantage over the Iron Bull.
What are your favorite classes to play in Mass Effect? What about Dragon Age? (I prefer Vanguard and Two-Handed Warrior, myself.)
How many hours of your life do you estimate you will lose when Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out?
How worried are you about how many people are leaving the studio?
What do you think of the original ME trilogy's ending? (I'm personally fine with them-especially Destroy with high EMS, although I always feel guilty. But a lot of people always freak out about them and derail threads if they are so much as mentioned, and at least a third of fanfics about ME are "fix fics" about them.)

Iron Bull, since he's got a better support group and they'll won't be afraid of breaking rules in the event he gets in over his head.
Mass Efffect: I don't actually recall the names of the classes, but I preferred the sniper and technician role. Dragon Age: dagger rogue all the way.
Assuming it's on-par with previous Bioware games, I expect to sink about 100 to 150 hours into it.
I felt that ME's ending was brilliant. It was risky and bold but really held true to the series' themes of personal sacrifice and didn't take the wimpy "happy ending" route. It's one of the few endings to a video game that made me tear up and had me agonizing over the final choices I had to make. The fact that so much of the internet got up in arms just goes to show its power, in my opinion.

I'm curious about the image and description of the mythic medusa. It has white feathery wings which is interesting. As you do art orders...
Were the wings asked for? Are there any mythical stories of medusas with feathered wings? I'm curious where the inspiration came from.

I'm a bit new to the forums here, and we're just starting integration of mythic adventures play in the campaign I am running. Is there anything in particular I should watch out for?
Most of what I see the higher tier/level stuff burping on is the action economy stuff.

Make sure you're comfortable with the rules, and keep an eye on those swift actions! But also, prepare yourself mentally for the way the game changes from a grittier form of fantasy to a much more high fantasy, superhero-feeling game. It's like switching from Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings up to The Avengers.

Eh, Bioware games' do have problems, but this thread ain't for debates. My favourite game of that type is Alpha Protocol(even though that game has objectively more problems than Bioware's own games xD), but yeah, got inspired to ask few questions about ME & DA myself.
Who is your favourite villain in ME and in DA?
What are your favourite races in both lore wise?
If Bioware made new IP, what would be dream come true new rpg from them?
And speaking of Alpha Protocol, have you played it?
Does it ever weird out how many people want to ask you on opinions on stuff they like?

ME: The Reapers. DA: Corypheus.
ME: Asaris. DA: Elves.
One that embraces the Lovecraft mythos full on and is set in the 20s.
Nope.
Yup! ;-)
