Party ended around two, got about two hours of sleep between then and 8:30 just woke up from a 2 hr nap also so four hours of sleep and twelve hours later to get rid of the amount of alcohol in my system I would say it was a very good time plus I found out a few new things.

I'm also mildly disappointed. I don't think Ryan Renolds is the right choice, per se. Still, I'll go see it, if only to support the fandom. I'm just not a big Hal Jordan fan, so that's colouring my opinion. As much as I despise Kyle, I think he would be a better Kyle than Hal.

So I finally saw The Hurt Locker last night.
Wow. Man. It was pretty sobering.
Stunning awesome flick.

Yah Avatar was "enjoyable" but in terms of awesomeness to investment ratio it sucked ass.
Hurt Locker had me sitting there with a stunned dumbass look on my face. Like I totally ignored my kid for 2 hours and I never do that.
Sold my car, buying plane ticket tomorrow to get new (to me, old to my big brother) Durango. :D
Gonna make pizza for dinner. Pepperoni for everyone but me, and a white base with chicken for me. Learning how to adjust recipes for new diet. :D
Took the kid to spend his gift cards. Got lots of on sale new school clothes, and book 2 and 3 of the Percy Jackson series. He is so excited, he really likes the series, and I LOVED the movie. :D
Oh, and while looking for the title to my car I found an old gift card to Target that I had hid away! :D

Am I the only one who watched the movie and thought that PJ has a major nerd-on for Elves. Legolas in specific. There was a lot of cools stuff in the books just ignored completely and extra stuff thrown in the showcase how bad ass the elves were. meh.
Yeah I agree poor Gimli became nothing but the comic relief.

Actually some jobs are requiring you to friend them so they can see your deepest, darkest secrets and blackmail you.
Fortunately, most of the execs in charge of this have trouble saving their email in folders other than the TRASH folder, so by blocking them from your wall, they think you just don't post much.

The scary part? I remember sitting down at my computer after seeing Generations with a great story idea for a novel where Kirk is brought back by a mutual alliance between the Romulans and the Borg through cloning and the Borg's advanced tech.
Six months later, Shatner's novel comes out and I realize that he and I think alike. Took me years of therapy to get over that.

Eep. Will you be devastated to know that I skipped the Uffizi? The school group that I'm with has been moving at such an exhausting breakneck pace, that we've decided to try to see more of the city on our own. We went to the Uffizi last year, so I was okay with not going this year. We went to the Accademia, though, because it's just not Florence without a trip to the David.We went to Siena yesterday afternoon, and that's just not enough time to see that city. We could have spent days there. And, foolishly following the group, we spent much of that time hearing a lecture on Renaissance frescoes. Interesting enough, certainly, but it means we saw even less of Siena. Oh well.
We might be going to Pisa for a little bit today, but it's not set in stone.
You are dead to me.
