The Shakespeare ones are hilarious, especially Hamlet/Ophelia.
Having played Hamlet, I have to say that might be my favorite. Especially since we played up the idea that maybe Hamlet and Horatio knew each other fairly well.
They didn't? Wow, my imagination took a left turn on that one then.
Not explicitly. But there are definitely some attributes of the play that make you wonder.
I always thought it explained alot, and added a touch more sadness to Hamlet.
I agree. It provides some interesting motivation for Ophelia as well.
I will admit though, I've always found "homoeroticism" to be fascinating for some reason.
The hint of homosexuality or themes that are more explicit?
Erotic, but not pornographic, literature.

Interesting. I think there is something inherent in homoeroticism that goes beyond just "sex". A sense of the "comrade", perhaps.

Very much so I think. Some people find it strange, but I find an inherent beauty to it.

Do I want to? Then again I have this weird idea for a module involving homoerotic male Drow. I have been talking to Allen, LPM and Urizen waaaaaaaaaay too much.

Oh this, I have to hear/read.

*sits back and awaits*

Aren't all male drow homoerotic? I would think homosexuality would be common in drow society.

In my online pbp, Riese, played by fake healer, was a gay wizard, so I was always kinda searching for an interesting plot hook along those lines.

Being heterosexual, I found it doubly hard for some reason, since I really cannot honestly say I feel that I understand a homosexual p.o.v. enough to honestly portray anything approaching a realistic story.
This, however, motivated me more, because it's the pinnacle of fulfilment when one pulls off the impossible.

One of the things I came up with, though, was along the lines of a "good Driz'zt escaper" drow; his motivation to leave the drow was that he was gay, and the matriarchy really frowns on males being gay.
Their take, I surmised, is "sex is the rightful property of the drowess, and must be given to the drowess at her demand," and, ergo, males keeping this sacred property to themselves was the worst form of disrespectful thievery imaginable. You could get turned into a drider or worse.
Along those lines, though, drowesses can partake in as much homoerotic behavior as they like. It's not "homosexuality" that is the problem per se, it is the bartering of sexual favor where no drowesses are involved.

So, he found that on the surface world, it's not quite as big a deal as it is in Erelhei Cinlu. Being a drow, however.....that's still a hassle.

I actually really wish pmg had been around when I fell cause I was all alone and had to limp all the way back down the street to where I had parked the car.

Also, I am super glad the car is an automatic because there is no way I could have shifted.

Also, I am not to pleased about the whole living on the third floor with no elevator thing.

As a supervisee who sometimes acts this way, I can understand your pain. :)

Twice this week, I've had to sit someone down for a conversation on the level of, "While you are on these premises, you may not touch your coworkers or their belongings without their consent".

(Not exactly the issue in either case, but on the same level of WTF-itude. All I can say is, "Aargh!")

That's when you look at them and say "But how the hell am I supposed to molest them if I can't touch them!?" >:/

Then again I hate pilsner to start with. I pretty much only drink stout on those rare occasions I drink beer.

It's not really beer that's the trouble. Alcohol really fraks with my ADHD medication so I rarely indulge.
