::Wrenches eyes open::

Mornin'...ugh. I want another weekend.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty HOUSE!

Spoiler:
Okay, that was about all of the cheer I had left in me for this morning. Apparently an invisible pugwampi is following me around, for my luck has taken a turn for the horrid. After a weekend of semi-sickness(some type of stomach virus is going around, and I think I made the first save, but not the second, was well enough to go to the second job as long as I was near the facilities at the clubs), I leave the house early, taking the bus instead of my bike as my wife and I are going to some friendly gathering in the afternoon after work. Big mistake. The bus spits on my attempt to leave the house early, as it takes an entire half hour to get exactly half way between my house and my job. I abandon the garagantuan(or would it be collossal? I've got to check size categories) bus-cum-slug at the halfway point and walk over to the taxi stand. Turns out that lead to even MORE of a wait, and I had to share my cab with two people who are going to the new shopping mall they are constructing over where the farmer's market used to be, which is incidentally across the street from where I used to live at my mom's house. After dodging cranes and backhoes and dump trucks, and catching a glance of my mom's car as she heads out for the day, I end up getting to work 5 minutes late to discover my coworker has left her keys at home and so everyone was waiting for me to show up with my keys. I let everyone in, including my boss, which is more than a little embarrasing. I hustle in, gather the stuff I'll need to deal with Slain, The Paperwork Dragon, only to discover that the printer is not working. Moreover, I may have to work all day tomorrow(8:30-6:30) due to a scheduling oversight.

On the bright side, I actually attempted to chat last night in the dmtools room and was able to send cheerful wishes to the recently married PMG and Sara Marie.

TL;DR AUUUUUUUGGGGHH!!!

I watch the show on rare occasion with friends, but it's too true to life for the vast majority of us.

Good Mourning FAWTL. WE have discovered 4 hour feedings!! Now to just convince him that after the 4am feedings is not an appropriate time to stay awake for an hour.

So far, this is the only thing that has managed to put a smile on my face all day.

Going to be busy this morning. For some strange reason, people want to be paid.

Anyway, took a few more good pics yesterday --> Happy Autumn

Oh, it's no joke. It's all to deadly serious!

You see, a swarm of AI nanites recently escaped from a secret government laboratory in Hoboken, NJ. They've since reproduced and begun to move forward with their insidious plan to overthrow humanity and establish themselves as our Invisible to the Naked Eye Overlords.

They plan to accomplish this by invading human bodies and seizing control of our central nervous systems. However, because their software is incompatible with our biology, it causes a slight cramping of the muscles in the hands - i.e. hand cramps.

So, when you see these "hand cramp" posts, it's one nano-slave marking himself for all the others. Then you should run.

I want to see that one.
I enjoyed it. Good actors, nice action sequences. And, of course, Bruce Willis is one of my favorites. I like the way he's able to do the humor and action combo. John Malkovich was great, as was Morgan Freeman. And Helen Mirren was really awesome. Karl Urban was really good, as well. Honorable mentions to Richard Dreyfuss, Brian Cox, and the incredible Ernest Borgnine.

I'm just impressed that Ernest Borgnine is still acting. He's 90, isn't he?

Yeah, Mermaid Man!

That would be quite impressive, strangling a school. :)

Oh, you're interpreting that as "all at one go?" I thought he'd have them line up and do it individually.

Oh, you've met my cousin?

Dark Archive

So there was a total meltdown at my second job today. My prof is in the UK and we've been having a video-conference meeting once a week, mainly to check up on the collaboration work I've been trying to get arranged and research I've been doing. He's insisted this is important and needs to be done and I sort of agree. So basically my second job has been calling me non-stop to come into work and I've had to cancel the meeting a couple of times. This was a huge pain for my prof because he usually wouldn't get the e-mail until it was too late and he kinda took it out on me. So I went to my boss this week and told him that there is going to be 1 night a week he CANNOT ever call me for work, frankly I'm going to be responsible for an $80 000 medical research project and if my prof can't even trust me to show up for a meeting, how can he trust me to finish projects, papers, and other stuff on a timely fashion especially most of the stuff I'll be dealing with is on a deadline. My boss freaked out at me telling me he's trying to run a business and such. I explained to him that is not my profs concern he has 3 classes to teach 150 students to mark 4 grad students with equally important grad projects he does not need to be bombarded with excuses from my personal life of why things aren't being done. So I have a very pissed off boss, and an annoyed supervisor and I am now setting up 1 day a week where I need the night off.
