Awww, too bad. She'd have made such a cute Vader. :)

Good luck with the costume hunt. We're taking the kidlet to get his costume this afternoon. He's currently torn between going as a wizard or as Boba Fett.

I was going to modify Kellen's old Vader costume, remove the sleeves the mask and the leggings, add a black skirt and viola! Darth Vaderess the Dark Lady of Sith. I thought it was a good idea, but she wants to be a vampire instead. *sigh*

Tell the kidlet I favor Boba Fett, he's way cooler than some boring old wizard. ;)

Just buy her some plastic vampire fangs and body sparkles. BAM!!! Vampire.

Great Googly Mooglies! It's been a very long time since I stayed out until 3 am. But we gamed last night, and tried to finish off one last encounter. Which we did. In tragedy.

Fighting a group of orcs, and the leader, a great axe wielding fighter, rolled crits against our fighter, our paladin, and our rogue - doing 50-some points of damage each time, and out-right killing the characters. We ended the session with my dwarf monk retreating right after the summoner's eidolon also got taken down axe boy.

Not sure how the DM's gonna end up handling this one. It was crazy. He rolled at least 8 crits last night. Hell, the only reason my monk is still alive is that axe boy didn't roll a crit against me, although he did hit me twice for 30 points of damage.

Anyway, it was still fun. On the way home, however, I got delayed by some big accident. Which sucked ass, because I had to find a way around it in an area I wasn't familiar with. That added some time to my drive home.

The hell? Did he have his idealism surgically removed or something?

Is he at least a decent person ignoring politics?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, probably not the place to be talking about this sort of thing. So, uh, have some optimism. Rest in peace, Paul.

Psst, John.

I hate that song, but I'd never post that on somebody's FB. People just don't have consideration. Even if John's a damn hippie, he's a damn philistine.

I hate that song as well. I love most of his songs though, he was one hell of a song writer, but Paul was the better singer...by far.

Evenin', All! How's everyone's night?

My wife and I went to see "the social network" earlier. I wasn't too excited about it, but she wanted to go out and there were no other movies playing that both of us were interested in seeing. In all, I'm glad we went. It was a much better movie than I expected. Not sure Mark Zuckerberg would agree, though...they did not portray him as a sympathetic character at all.

I also picked up a new iPhone. I've been kicking around with a 1G for 3 years, and have been itching to get the iPhone4 for a while.

When I got home to set it up, I realized that I'd moved my iTunes file folder, which totally screwed my library file. Spent 2 hours rebuilding that before I could even think about connecting my new phone.

Oh, well, the "restoral" from my old phone to the new one is in progress, now. I'd cross my fingers, but that makes it hard to type.

I wanna see that, hubby does not. :P

And maybe we can have a similar ending with 3/4 of the party getting killed next Friday. Muhahahaha. I could do without the accident tying up traffic afterward though. Hopefully this time, I don't have to go into work 3 hours later.

It disturbs me that that woman and I have agreed on anything. She is truly disturbed. In everyone of her books there is some sort of incest going on. Truly a woman with Daddy issues. (that said, I loved Interview with a Vampire)

Morning, FAWTLies!

I hopped out of bed this morning after a whopping six hours of sleep. I wonder if my body clock will ever adjust back to something normal.

My new phone is all set up, finally. With moving my music folders and getting the new phone, I really did a number on my iTunes library. Took me two hours to get the point where I could even start syncing my phone and setting up my icons the way I want them.

In other news, I've JUST discovered that someone, either one of my daughters or one of my visiting in-laws, has broken the toilet seat in our guest bathroom. This will necessitate a trip to The Home Depot to get a replacement. Yay.

I hope everyone's having a great morning.

As for sparkly vampires, I'm disgusted by them. They've turned an awesome symbol of evil into a wussified piece of garbage...Edward's no vampire...he's closer to an undernourished, hairless Care Bear.

Of course, I wasn't all that interested in Rice's forays into homoerotica, incest and pederasty, either.

Frankly, I think my favorite "pop culture vampire" is currently Eric Northman from True Blood...except for those brief moments when his conscience tries to resurface...or when Gideon's ghost shows up with some annoying "angel on the shoulder" schtick.

Vampires are monsters. They are cool, in much the same way Darth Vader was a cool villain in Episode IV. (Come to think about it. Edward is kind of like Anakin Skywalker from Episodes I & II.) Vampires should never have gone emo.
