Any idea what might be going on?
The friend messaged me because she's talking to him right now. Just particularly depressed today, by the sound, but it makes me worry.

I hope everything worked out.

So, at the start of our game last night, the DM couldn't remember the name of the bar we PCs usually met our Pathfinder client in. So I humbly offered a newly invented name - The Crusty Whore.

He didn't go for that, but instead used The Trusty Whore.

Now, he's decided the name of our campaign shall be Tales from the Trusty Whore.

Perfect for top of the page. :)

Incidently, before we recorded the podcast last night, we were discussing Top 5 lists. One guy suggested Top 5 Places you'd want to be if a Zombie Attack broke out. Someone suggested "Wherever Chuck Norris is". I then theorized that if a zombie were to bite Chuck Norris, it would likely be returned to life.

Edit: not sure if that one ever made it on the Chuck Norris list.

Oh no. That is a tough one and I wish for you all the luck in the world so you can achieve a solution. Take care, Lynora.

I like raisins if they're not cooked in anything. Raisins are an unpleasant surprise in bread. :S

I haven't listened to the "nuts and bolts" podcast yet, so hold off on putting the newest one out. :)

Sadly, that is not up to me. However, Carl does seem pretty busy, so he might not get around to it for a bit.

Time to go do some stuff - mostly prep work for some homebrew bottling tomorrow. No work for Columbus Day. Later folks.

Look at Taig with the Philip Dick / origin of Blade Runner reference.

That was bizarre and didn't really need to change, admittedly. The mathematician who's name I really should remember going from "S*** will happen, and when that s*** happens this whole place will go down like a house of cards" to "You have tampered in God's domain" is annoying but understandable, and I only really noticed it on retrospect. The mathematician ** spoiler omitted ** was another silly change for no real reason.

So, yeah. Heavily simplified and a few weird changes, but don't you dare say either the book or the movie wasn't good.

Book: Good.

Movie: Balls.

It is one of the classic "gets computer technology wrong" movies.

The worst offender was "The Net".

I disagree. Hackers was MUCH more offensive. The only points it had in its favor was the soundtrack and a young Angelina.

Eh. I give that movie a pass for the reason you mentioned and because it didn't seem to be taking itself too seriously.

How is it that my brother and I could POSSIBLY come from the same genes & environment? We are such total opposites that's it's damn frustrating at times.

For instance, today I posted some lyrics from John Lennon's Imagine on my Facebook page since it's his 70th birthday.

This is what he posted in response:

Quote:
keep dreamin' then come talk to me in 10 more years when you're 47, then 10 more when you're filing for social security, if that still exists (only in a dream). Make it happen or shut up

He's a die-hard, "FOX News are the only ones telling the truth/Tea party members are too liberal" conservative, so I then commented back that I posted it because it's Lennon's birthday.

He then commented that if "(Lennon) wasn't such a damn hippie, he might still be alive today". Seriously, this pissed me off so much I did something I almost never do. I deleted his comment.

*sigh*

I saw the lyrics. I wanted to post a different song, that was less, um. Yeah. Still beautiful tune. Your brother just has his head stuck up his own.... Some day he may grow up.

Why does no one choose "Revolution 9"?

A couple of nights ago I had a dream about a serial killer who would "troll" his victims in person, and then when they were getting all good and pissed off, he'd kill them. Ugh, no more pizza right before I go to sleep.

Know what's funny, I just changed mine. It reads:

Jeffrey N. Williams
Rural Route 666 Holocaust Highway
Nevada Test Site, Nye County, Nevada 89666

A phoney address will stop the wrong people from snooping too much.

Not enough choke points. And the food spoils even when there isn't an apocalypse going on.

Preps up the front counter with an assortment of flavored coffees, chilled teas, cool milk, and orange juice. Puts out the cream cheese and begins baking the bagels, whole wheat donuts, cinnamon rolls, and assorted pastries. Puts out a jar of pickled brains for Aberzombie and fresh raisins for Taig.

Gentlemen of FAWTLy, breakfast will be served at 6:00 PM PST. See you there.

Hee hee. Why is it sooo important to strictly follow the rules in a role-playing game?

By the way, you're not going to convince any of those [if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all] of the joys of doing a little freeform DMing.
