sorry about that Solnes. It is one thing that keeps my mind distracted from other endeavors that I am currently pursuing ;) at least I am not in a fantasy league to the point where I obsess over the game.

Let's try something here. Just got invited to play in a campaign as of this Tuesday (Yay!). What they have thus far is a Duskblade/Wizard, a Psion, a Cleric, and a Rogue. I'm trying to fill in the holes of what's needed. It has to be fourth level. It's v3.5 rules. It's all wide open as to the options within D&D from WotC. I hear it's a deadly game.
Thoughts? I need inspiration! =)

And thus was I referencing. Also any Clint Eastwood film with the "man with no name" that was based upon the first film. A fighter with a unique skill either culinary or horticultural. Has a name but does not utter it much. Maybe a high charisma and a great intimidate skill, yet he speaks rarely if at all. He does all his talking in his skills. Either with the blade or with the carving knife when cooking ect...
Done right they are a fun character type to play.

Urg - Taig (fellow fantasy football enthusiast), please pull this dagger that Woodraven left, out of my back. I can't seem to quite ... reach it.
Thanks.
And for the record, my Browns lost again but my fantasy team has a good chance of going 2 - 1 :P

Dervish (Complete Warrior). One of the best fighter PRCs out there. Great as a Fighter base, Swordsage base is good too and leads to sick Initiative as well as the high dmg/AC the dervish does so well. Warblade might work as well, but the Swordsage has more abilities that thematically fit with the Dervish.

Funny thing, since I discovered Paizo, my interest in fantasy sports has waned considerably. I dropped from 3 leagues to 1 this year and the one is actually a vehicle to stay connected to my old co-workers at my former employer. Half of the league work at my old employer, and the other half are my current co-workers.

I have the book, but I've never used it as I've put it down before. Anything in particular? Races & classes are open.

From what I'm hearing, this one is going to be more combat heavy versus role playing. Although I do like your idea.

Overall it has an interesting idea. Options for combat fighter types. It just goes to far away from the basics to the point of making a strait fighter obsolete.

Of course it'd take awhile longer to make it to Dervish under the Swordsage than it would the Warblade. I'd really need to get some studying done give my vague knowledge of really diving into BoS9. You know, they should get some Magus ideas out of .... oh I won't start that here. :p
What feats would you be piling into this baby at 4th level? I assume human is still the way to go unless another race would make better of its class?

That was, to some extent, the point. Make melee classes that are roughly as quadratic as spellcasters, which would make fighters obsolete at high levels just by existing. (Besides, like Urizen said, ignoring the whole "linear fighter, quadratic wizard" problem, fighters weren't exactly that impressive in 3.5 in the first place.)

Ompf. I'll have to find my sheet and see what he had. TWF for sure, likely Dodge and Mobility because I think they are prereqs for the PRC.

Requirements
To qualify to become a dervish, a character must fulfi ll all the following criteria.Base Attack Bonus: +5.
Skills: Perform (dance) 3 ranks, Tumble 3 ranks.
Feats: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Weapon Focus (any slashing melee weapon).

More specifically, you'd need Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility and Weapon Focus(any slashing weapon) to get into the prestige class. Yeah, I say Two-Weapon Fighting, Dodge and Mobility. Those would probably be the most useful feats at that level.
EDIT: Never mind, CJ posted the prereqs before I did. Yeah, go with Wolfthulu's advice.

Recommendation on the slashing weapon?

I've got your back. <Checks quickly for Solnes>
I'm in two leagues. I was unsure about my draft in the auction league, and, now I'm realizing I drafted the worst team ever in the 12 years I've been doing this. That team is 0-3 and stands a good chance to finish the season 4-10 or worse. I've never had a team do worse than .500.
In the draft league, I picked up a darn good team, had crappy luck the first week, but they've turned around. Most likely, I'll be 2-1 after this week.
Raiders lost because their one-time first round draft pick couldn't make field goals. Bleh.
