I myself am working on more of a martial bent bard, No singing, no music just chants and rallying the troops, not sure what best role he fits either
That sword trait is freaking hot... The Aldori dueling sword, kinda meh, being basically a longsword that you can use with finesse, which is neat, but might not feel feat-worthy.

I'm not worried so much about the abilities as I am the concept itself fitting within the roles. I was considering a CG gnome barbarian, a weaponsmith with a fondness of chucking short swords in a fight and significant paranoia about suffering the Bleaching.
heh councilor or treasurer or ya know if your devote high priest is really not out of line

I won't be applying for this as I'll be running it for my table toppers but I think I'll class the sword scion trait as weapon focus Aldori Duelling Sword for the purposes of qualifying for other feats in that tree.
Alternatively...give up the free sword and the bonus and get the EWP Aldori Duelling Sword for free(which means you can still take weapon focus)

Devotee and high priest of Gorum has potential, and creates a good reason to consider picking up the feats Master Craftsman and Craft Magic Arms and Armor. Come to think of it, you may be onto something with treasurer as well.

Heh, that would be interesting to roleplay with my character, an ex-prophetess of Aroden who succumbed to the bleaching after his death.

Any ideas as to what role a barbarian would be fit for, other than general? Chaotic alignment doesn't seem to lend itself well to the other roles that would benefit from a physically strong, combat-oriented character.
Have you considered Diplomat? Seriously, though, Warden might be a good choice. Alternatively, leave it blank, and your Gnome could just pick something at random, after the others take theirs. Or even change roles every few months (to better fight the Bleaching).

Reading through the PG, they drop some great character ideas!
A (red) Draconic bloodline Sorcerer, with the Bastard trait, an unrecognized heir to the vanished House Rogarvia, whose only proof of his heritage is the fiery blood in his veins, and the fine pattern of scales adorning his shoulders?
A Bard devotee of Norgorber, who wishes to seize upon the strategems that made House Surtova so successful to form a new kingdom, free of their influence (or securely under their thumb, depending on who is offering him the best opportunities...)?
A Cleric of Erastil (or Abadar!) who wishes to beat back the wilderness, and reclaim it for the civilized man? Erastil works because he's already in the area in force, and with the Animal / Plant Domains could compensate slightly for a lack of a Druid in the party. Abadar works for the opposite reason, because his church *isn't* in the area in force, and your Cleric would be bringing 'light into the darkness,' so to speak.
A Paladin, same theme as above, but more likely to be Abadarite, and a 'builder of things' who is not unskilled at smiting down anything that stands in the way of the communities he intends to build.
A tough-as-nails no-nonsense Ranger who starts out as a hunter of animals, and refines her skills to become a hunter of lawless men, serving as bounty hunter and one-woman defense against brigands.
Fun potential.

Hey. I've tried many times from a couple of different computers, and keep getting error messages in trying to send you an email, so I'll just post everything under this profile here. Hopefully you'll check here, as I can't get an email to you to go through.
Steve
I seem to be getting everyone else's. I'll certainly keep an eye on the board, but if you can't get email's to me it may be a problem going forward.

Welp I seem to be having the same problem.

Either way if it can't get through I'll leave my submission here on the boards.
Matius Drake
Role: Ruler
Quick background:
Born to a single mother in the River Kingdoms, Matius was forced to grow up fast in order to support his single mother. Illegitimate ways of acquiring wealth proved all too easy for the boy(I'm looking to choose the Brigand Campaign trait) as he found himself leading like minded young bandits by his thirteenth birthday(Also looking at the Natural Born Leader trait). Despite the harsh realities of the River Kingdoms, Matius maintained his childlike wonder and gained a reputation for being a gentlemen bandit. He did his best not to steal from the poverty stricken and did everything in his power to avoid taking innocent lives, opting to steal mainly from other bandits. This kindness has garnered him perhaps lethal attention from the cut-throat groups of bandits who he has stolen from. The expedition to Greenbelt seems his best bet to avoid the trouble, and here he finds himself. He is yet to have long-term aspirations for a crown but is well suited as a leader and vigorously ambitious. As the campaign progresses and the opportunity presents himself, he will do his best to assert himself into the role.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.
The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty.
The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.
Trap-finding:A rogue adds 1/2 her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A rogue can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps.
------------------------------------------------------
Notes: Mostly finished, really fell in love with the concept of the adventure and the Concept of Matius. I certainly envision him as a Robin Hood-esque character in some regards(Without the emphasis on archery obviously.) I'd still have to actually purchase equipment, but i just listed a few weapon choices under offense and factored leather armor into his AC under defense
Anyway, Thanks for taking my character into consideration- And good luck sorting through all of these. I hope I can game with you =]

Maybe so. I play in several other PbP's on this forum, and don't use email for any of them (Though the few times I've had to post there was not a problem), but if you feel that way then so be it. Have fun.
PS: I've had the same email for over 15 years, and don't have issues elsewhere, so if I had to guess I'd guess something on your end is blocking them. It's an Earthlink account, so maybe you can unblock posts from Earthlink.

Aha!
Therein lies the problem i imagineThanks guys, I'll resend it.
On another note, any and all are welcome to check out my concept. I'd be happy to hear feedback
Garvin could see supporting such a future leader, should he be able to put some of his less savory past choices behind him and become a respectable man of the people.
MIght look to the fighter role though, just to make it less troublesome to legitimacy issues.

Okay, everyone that's been selected has been sent an email. For those of you that DIDN'T get picked, there seems to be more than enough interest to run more than one Kingmaker game. I feel like I'm recruiting for Ocean's Eleven...
The discussion for this game can be found here. Please check in to that thread, with at least a short intro of your character for the other players.
Thanks again for all the interest, and wish me luck on my first PbP game...
