Hi there Lilith!

I think the question many of us needy and all around fragile creative types are wondering now is ... do you have any idea when the big What Made It In decision will be made?

Thanks!

Soon. By next Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.

Fair enough - thanks Lilith!

Best of luck to everyone that entered!

Well, looks like mine was a bit short, but so it goes. Next time I'll do a better job.

Wow! That's fast!

+/- 100 isn't the problem. It's +/- 200 or more that is. The 750/1500 wasn't a range, but looking back on my original post, I should have made this a bit clearer.

I hope you're counting Neil, Jonathan, and I as having submitted three pieces that average out at the low end of the word count rather than one piece that takes the upper limit outside and curbstomps it. ;-)

RPG Superstar 2012

RL got in the way of writing up an article, but I'd still like to help by donating. Do donations work the same as last year, Lilith?

Darn it. I belong in the "read it as a range" camp too. But adding another 40 or so words should not be a sweat (for one thing I removed about that range to tighten a few things up).

And... my hotmail-account has either had a spontaneous password-change or been hijacked - so if my article is accepted, can the reply be sent to jeppepeppe@hotmail.se instead of jesperhaglund@hotmail.com, please?

Apologies to those artists whose names I have not represented here. You're probably great too.

Yeah, how come you mentioned me, but not Ashton Sperry or Glen Zimmerman? You know, the actual artists?

Donations will work as last year, paypal to me or Hugo (see my profile for an email address). Please - donate! It helps us ever so much to make this labor of love a reality. :D

Update! I have reviewed all 45 submissions. I have sent out emails to a handful of people who need to expand their submissions to fit the page count. For those people - Friday the 26th is your new deadline. If you did not receive an email from me, please consider that your submission has been accepted for Wayfinder #3.

Artists, if you'd like to help (and haven't already stated that you'd like to do so via email or this thread), lemme know!

Sovereign Court

word count has been increased and sent back. Woot!

Does a happy dance

Also does happy dance.

And um... just because I have to be sure - could Lilith please tell me that she did see my changed e-mail account post above. I can live perfectly happy with the article being rejected, but the idea of it being rejected because someone stole my hotmail-account...

Plus - can I change two names? Had a brainstorm at work tonight and the new ones are much better.

Liberty's Edge

mmm one of the few times that not receicing an email is good news :D

i will be donatic in 20 more days, i need urgently my credit card cuts :S

I hear you on that!

Also,I will be donating in two weeks time. Stupid rent gets in the way of everything.

Kajehase, I resent my email to you.

*Squeal* This is exciting. I hope to see everyone that contributed at PaizoCon, and I helped with a donation so people can take my work home with them and cherish.... :)

Unfortunately Seattle is a bit far for me to walk. And too expensive to fly. Its sort of the reverse of why Paizo isn't making it to Origins, which is in my neck of the woods.

Liberty's Edge

tsk tsk
you are clos in comparisong to me :P

Dark Archive

I would love to go too, but work will only let me have so many days and they're already being taken up with Gen Con and Con on the Cob.

Dark Archive

Oh, and distance and money. ;)

Sovereign Court

When does artwork get assigned?

Liberty's Edge

Thanks to everyone who is making this possible, especially Lilith and Hugo, and to everyone who is donating. You all rock!

Hey Froggie, I don't draw freehand very well, but I can make gorgeous maps. Do you need any gorgeous maps?

Note to self: Check the privacy settings on Facebook. Put froggie in the "who the heck are you again" category.

Are e-mails going out to everyone that submitted, then? I sent my story in but haven't gotten word yet.

Edit: Beaten to it by the paladin. Isn't all that plate mail supposed to slow you down?

that and I didn't took the time to search for my answer :D

Ah, I see. Missed that earlier post. Thanks :)

Pardon me for my impatience, but let me see if I understand how this works from here:

Wayfinder #3 will be paper-printed for PaizoCon III, June 18th.

Those going to the convention will have first crack at the print version.

The PDF and the print version will not be available for online purchase until after PaizoCon III.

I believe contributors (financial - including advertisers - or otherwise) may be in line to receive dead tree versions too, if Wayfinder #1 can be taken as a model.

So all of the submissions are in, and if you DIDN'T get an email about your submission, it's becasue it was okaym and accepted?

Yes, that seems to be the case.

Due to the licensing issues, I don't think Wayfinder can be sold. Not sure if there is any intent to create a licensed fanzine for paid publication at this point, but that word would have to come from the folks actually doing the work. ;)

Distribution of the first Wayfinder (aka the "PaizoCon 2009 Fanzine") worked like this, so I'm pretty sure this will be very similar:
- Paper copies will be provided for those attending the con on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Those who contributed, paid for advertising or donated money will get a copy, whether they attend the con or not, but may be asked to pay shipping and handling.
- Everyone else will be able to get a free PDF copy once the magazine is put up on the Paizo site.

Liz? Hugo? Did I get this one right?

Not quite. It seems that they also would not email you if it simply wasn't good enough. Hopefully this was not the case with anybody.

On the contrary:

I read this as "all submissions were accepted, but a few were sent back to get their word count up." Of course, I could be wrong. Would not be the first time. ;)

I'm not sure who's doing the artist wrangling this time (I'm guessing Hugo) but there's a good chance that there will need to be a picture of Boswic with this story. I have uploaded an old drawing I did of Boswic onto deviant art. Perhaps whoever ends up with my piece "Dances with the Mantis" might look there? My user name is Guyhumual.
