He's pretty busy at Legendary Games. I am sure he will get to you though! Have you tried posting/searching the forums here?

Same "problem" here… if anyone knows how to obtain that document I would be grateful :-)

I sent it about a month ago. It's possible it was buried but I feel bad asking twice. At least this is forcing me to come up with my own additional challenges which are developing quite nicely.

Hi all,

Apologies if I haven't gotten back to you. I've been buried in Kickstarter prep on top of my usual stuff. If you've sent me a message and I haven't gotten back to you, feel free to resend your message and I'll try to catch up this weekend.

P.S. After a long hiatus, ace artist Frank Hessefort (who did the art for our Cold Mountain plug-in adventure for this AP) has gotten back on track with the artwork for our upcoming Royal Tournaments product, which will include all kinds of events and activities to entertain your characters at festivals, fairs, and kingly celebrations of every kind! Some of those events might look verrrrry familiar. :)

Thanks in advance, Jason!

Done. My mistake (in my own email adress, how nice).

My Kingmaker group has gradually lost interest in Kingdom Building, an dwe've generally let it shift into the background. They've really liked the Mass Combat system, though, so I'd still like that to take it's starring role in the adventure.
The Army Building rules rely on BP to determine how large of a force the PCs Kingdom can command, so since we've moved Kingdom Building to the background I was just going to give the PCs armies they can command.

How large of an army should I give the PCs so the Mass Combat is properly balanced/ How large of an army did the PCs have in your campaigns?

They lost interest in managing the kingdom, but maybe they'll be interested in managing the military aspect?

In that case, you could give them a "Consumption budget" to let them create the armies they want (number, size, how well equipped, etc.).

It would also be easy to have a simple system in the case they want to bust the Consumption budget you give them (more Consumption in exchange for incremental penalties to Loyalty checks, for example).

Hi Jason, I am intrested too to your work on Rushlight tournament, if you can send me some material you make me an happy GM :D .

Sent a request for a copy of your original turnover for the Rushlight Tournament Jousting Rules, Mr. Nelson.

Thank you kindly,

CB Out.

I would share a think about the boasting challenge. I run this part yesterday and the rules about score is quite unbalanced. The final score is determined by one single dice roll on Perform check, that is moltiplicated for the number of succesful check in the previous abilitys, but essentially the winner is who roll higher on the last roll.
I think this machanism should be adjusted.

Hi all, i hope this tips come in hand to some GM.

Jason, don't you just love how we're still crying out for your goodness years down the track...? :)

Soooo maybe i can join the cry for your expanded tournament goodness?

Has anyone found a way to involve pure casters in the tournament as well? I' m a a bit short on ideas and could use a suggestion or two.

I'm sure there was a thread which discussed a 'mage battle' type event at
the tourney.

The sorceress decided to partecipate in the illusion monsters event.. all in all it was a great part of the AP.
I have a question related to the ghost ability to wail and make people panicked: once a player fail her saving throw, and runs enough to regain control of her actions, does she become panicked again if she gets back to see the ghost? I ruled that she would not, because otherwise only the cleric would have stayed and most likely would have died a horrible death..

Think i might have solved the issue. The special attack description says they are frigtened for 2d4 rounds, nothing about getting back. Therefore my mistake was to not have rolled the 2d4 but making the effect last only as long as they were in sight of the ghost.. oh well.

So... can anyone tell me what is the DC for spotting secret doors in Irovetti’s palace? I can’t find it anywhere... I’d say around 30?

All I can see are the secret doors in the lagoon.

"Both of these incredibly well-hidden doors are
underwater and can be found with a DC 40 Perception
check. The northernmost door leads to a 3-foot-wide
submerged tunnel that winds for nearly a thousand feet
before ending at a second secret door (also DC 40 to notice)
that opens into the Pitax River."

Hi,

Finicky question - Gaetane the wererat ranger is listed as having Bracers of Archery, but it doesn't mention if they're Greater or Lesser and I'm not good enough at forensic statblock analysis to determine which it is; anyone know?

They're Lesser Bracers of Archery. (BAB = 12, Dex = +5, +1 weapon so that all totals 18. His attack is +19. Since Lesser Bracers give +1 and Greater gives +2 to attack and +1 to damage they're the Lesser Bracers of Archery. The damage would be 1D8+2 instead of 1D8+1 if he had the Greater Bracers.)

It's also worth noting that none of his feats are applied to his attack or damage so that's something to be mindful of.

My players defeated Irrovetti and decided to steal the throne of Pitax.

I mean that literally. They used a portable hole and just pushed it in there.

Also, their spymaster is a walking exposition vehicle in the form of the kobold NPC named Mikmek and the mayor of one of their farming communities is a horse.

It's been a very strange game.

(I've not yet finished reading this thread, so my comment is just in case this was not already addressed...)

The region that Pitax can legitimately claim as its own, though pretty much amounts to the bottom _two_ rows of hexes on page 22, with the exception of any hexes with forest in them and the addition of the hexes containing areas K and L.

...Shouldn't this be "the bottom THREE rows"? Encounter spots "M" and "N" are in the third-lowest row, and "M" is in a Forest hex. There are no Forest hexes in the lowest two rows. Also, sites "K" and "L" are in the fourth-lowest row, so Pitax would need that third-lowest row in order to connect to those two extra hexes.

Thanks,
Franklin
