Well, David, you need to wait longer than 52 minutes :) That said, I don't know a thing about Exalted.

Work today, come home and fix dinner, then I will eat and go to hang some slot wall tonight... the things I do to support Solnes hooker habit. :P
Awright FINALLY going home. Hopefully there will be more excitement tonight at work.

Headed home. Take care, all.
Everyone drive carefully. It's a Level 2 with 6.5" inches out here.
*sigh* I have no idea what to do with myself when I work all day and have the night. Its not even 5:30pm and I am at a loss. I already worked and dinner is done and kids fed. What now? Bed time isn;t till 7:30-8:00?
You could be watching Cars. :P
Urizen wrote: You could be watching Cars. :P Nah, we are watching Wall E :D
I need to finish the movie in its entirety. But I'll settle for The Incredibles!

The OT thread is so naughty! I LOVE IT!
Solnes did you get that fb message I sent you yesterday?
Woodraven wrote: Solnes did you get that fb message I sent you yesterday? Maybe? Its been a long couple of days. If it was about staying with us for a couple of days than I don;t see a prob, will you still be rooming with the others when they get here? I will need to run it by Hubby obviously though. And it may depend on the kids schedule. Remind me of teh dates.
Evening everybody. I hope all are doing well.

Welcome back, Thing. I hope your trip back was more pleasant.
Hi all!
Hope that everyone is well ...
I'm ok.
How's the census-taking going?
Been home for a while. Snowing now. I'll have to start shoveling that crap tomorrow. Oh joy!
Aberzombie wrote: Been home for a while. Snowing now. I'll have to start shoveling that crap tomorrow. Oh joy! Are you in an area where they're expecting more than a foot of snow?

Where are my manners?
Welcome to the thread, Someone's Alias!!!
Woodraven, looks like you got the help you needed. I loves me some Norse mythos.
just the leaf I want to talk to.
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: Woodraven, looks like you got the help you needed. I loves me some Norse mythos. well my instructor wants me to some sort of comparison on how the norse mythos affected their culture and compare it to how the many faiths affect ours today
(oh and I always mess up affect and effect and how to use them)
Mairkurion {tm} wrote: Ja? and I remembered you were the religions guy around here, at least since you get paid to talk about them.

It's very census-y
Basically if you've worked for the government, it's like that. Yeah I'm having Army/DoD office flashbacks bigtime LOL

Can't take a piss without someone telling you to or having to sign in triplicate? You can piss freely, but yes, everything must be signed in triplicate. And the stolid hold on dead-tree technology! Oy gevault! And tonight I'm gonna file like it's 1999!
How the mythos affected culture? Hmm...
1. Beliefs/practices around death
2. Holidays
3. How warfare is conducted
It's the comparison part I'm a bit perplexed by. How the many faiths affect out culture today? :S Geez. Field of comparison is too big, and you're comparing a coherent culture to a fragmented one.

I didn't hear that Dagon may have been associated with the broader Canaanite pantheon until recently, as the son of El and father of Ba'al.

Yeah, it's kinda weird when you delve into Caanan/Phonecia and Carthaganian history and religion. Odd stuff. Funny how poor Dagon (and most of the Caananite gods) got literaly demonized by the Israelites over time..
