Noticed some errors in the Artificer class and cleaned them up. The old download is gone, use this link to grab the cleaned up Artificer.

So, we've got a computer hacker, a gonzo journalist, a genetic experiment and a crazed scientist. We're going to give such a lovely first impression, aren't we?
Also, since we're apparently talking about our future plans once get to fantasy-world, I'm planning on going either rogue or bard, probably a level of rogue then straight bard from there. After all, I might as well be able to use these lock picks properly at some point.
("What, why do I carry around lock picks if I don't know how to pick a lock? Well, these picks saved my life once. How? Well, it's a long story, and it involves a former Supreme Court justice. At least, I think that's who I'm thinking of, the ladies just called him the Judge...")

No reporter worth their salt has never not picked a lock to get to the meat of a story. ;)

Okeys, am getting there. Some stuffs in'a character sheet ready fer reviews, comments, clarifications an' all.
Looking good so far. As with Otto, I'm handing out an extra two bonus feats of my choice to characters based on their character write-up. As for yours I'm choosing Athletic. Not sure about the second feat though, I'll need more info to make a decision.
Guns, where do we get guns? ^_^
As soon as you give me some background info on your character and Quantok Industries, I'll pick your gear. No worries, you'll get a gun.

Hmmm, I've been wracking my brains over the Quantok entry, but the Muse, she is a fickle B!tch. Nothing is really coming to mind. Though, if you've played "Portal" and other twisted games in that genre I think you get the idea. "Girl Genius" comes across well too.
Will add "Athletic" to the character.
Is there a Feat for Integrated Brain chipping. :P XD

Sorry, I haven't had the cash to spend on many of the things I want. First and foremost are my DVD and RPG Book obsession. So no, I haven't played Portal.
Will add "Athletic" to the character.

I'll look into Cyberscape & D20 Future.

EDIT: You haven't played/heard of Portal? Just imagine your average evil corporation in fiction crossed with a bit of Alpha Complex from Paranoia. You should get the idea. Oh, and judging by the :P, it seems as though the brain implant feat idea was just a joke. Not like we're going to be using a lot of technology where we're going.

Well, they've got deranged biologists, at the very least. Probably corrupt too, with the whole "making super-soldiers" thing. Probably a grant or two from the government. After all, you don't make advanced beings and put them through combat training for the hell of it. They probably have a good less-insane front, most likely a major pharmaceutical company. Heck, they probably funded part of the wormhole project we're all going to be at. Of course, all this is covered by the whole "evil corporation" trope, but it's something. Who knows, maybe I'll just figure out some of their other secret projects
Maybe this helps, maybe it doesn't. Still, it was nice to write.
-Training to be a deranged biochemist, personally.

*blush* I must admit to having never played, nor own, a copy of P.O.R.T.A.L. myself.
But I will admit to enjoying quite a few games of the classic Cyber-Punk 2020 along with being a HUGE fan of movies such as "Blade Runner" and "Robo-Cop".
I would rather Scarlet and her behavior to be more amusing/fun than dark and brooding though, hence my full admiration and link back to Jolly Jack and his inspiring creations.
The Quantok article is developing in the character sheet atm. I do look forward to paying my happy combat drone in the near future. ^_^
And, um, yes, the Cybernetics reference was more tongue in cheek.

Will look it over in a moment

Well, too late. I've already looked through Cyberscape and I see one option you might want to consider.
The Cyborg feat allows you to pick up one cybernetic device. My consideration for that device would be the Mermaid System; you'd have a natural Swim Speed of 30, you'd get a +8 bonus when forced to make swim checks and you'd be able to Take 10 even while distracted or endangered while swimming. This in no way allows you to breathe underwater.

First (O.o) Um, sorry you lost me with your image there. Is that a T.V. show? A book? A comic?
Though I do hope that yes, you're close. ^_^
Second, well who'm I t' be arguein' with th' DM whut's handin' out th' free stuffs? *^_^*.
More character editin'!

Okeys, Quantok presentation successfully concluded, thank you for viewing. ^_^
Most excellent. I'll assign gear tomorrow after I come home from my doctor's appointment. I'd do it right now if I didn't have such a bad headache.
Question: What does A.P.E. / B.R.O.N.T.O.S. / S.c.a.r.l.e.t. stand for?
S.c.a.r.l.e.t.
Okay, Other than the funny 'Leet' speak that I found on Jolly Jacks characters I have no idea what 5.C.4.R.l.3.7. actually means, if anything.
A.P.E. is from Dream Pod Nine's "Heavy Gear" Science Fiction setting. It's a form of power armor. "Armored Personel Environment suit" I think from memory. Think Shirrow's "Apple Seed" personal power armor and you can't go wrong.
B.R.O.N.T.O.S. means, um, well, I made that one up. ^^; Sorry for getting something original in there. I did have an image of some sort tank. I thought the name sounded cool, and it seemed to fit in well with putting dots in all the other important names. ^^;
Hope that helps.
Cheers!

Got the basics and background done. I'll fill in the details over the next couple of days. Character's name is Anthony 'Tony' Kottow, and you can see his profile here.

I'll be looking over characters soon enough and assigning equipment.

There's still openings.
I was thinking a manager of the project, who has some basic technological knowledge, but mostly deals with the political stuff associated with the project to keep the techies busy on tech stuff. She got her education thanks to an ROTC program, and is still a reservist, so she's not a super combatant, but has some basic combat ability.
I figure she'll be mostly a face type of character, handling negotiations and the like.

Cynthia is ready for your approval ...and items.
A quick question: what weapon and armor proficiencies will we have? Simple? Do we have to take firearm proficiencies to shoot? (this may change my feat choices).
Well, he is going to give you two feats based on your background, so if nothing else Personal Firearm Proficiency will probably be one of them. Heck, that's the only reason why I can shoot this gun in the first place.

Well, I dont know how to make up a character; cannot see any of your links that were posted; webwasher here blocks them so i dont have permissions.
I am thinking.
Army Staff Sgt.; MOS combat arms; 12b and 15c; special forces; ranger; sniper. In the army; these are schools; sniper school is a so many week course; pass or fail, where you learn things like stealth and survival, evasion and the like; makeing a camo suit; ranger training, is another school where you learn stealth and small tactics movement, hand to hand; repelling; parachuting; orientering, first aid and survival. Special forces is a job where you learn more advanced infiltration techniques and hand to hand; train small groups of insurgents, deal with natives, and use very fast movement and fire control. Combat arms troops learn a variety of fighting technicues with and without weapons; team tactics; various weapons of our and our allies, orientieering; map reading; enemy identification and like all Army jobs; shoot a lot; you also learn most small arms packages; claymore; pistols; grenades; rifles; assault weapons and run a lot and work out a bunch. 12B is a combat arms designation of a soldier; 15c is artillery; is like a secondary job; plus are you go through ranks you go to schools in how to run a unit; tactics; even more map reading; and practice your skills over and over and over.
Also; you get to go to school a lot; take university classes and the like; college credits are good for promotion points; degrees count for a lot; but I mostly took a lot of fun classes too; Army pays for most of the cost so you get to take them nearly free.
typical gear is body armor; you can type in Dragon Armor in a search engine and see what is being worn by a lot of soilders in the upper ranks and officers; is a kevlar mesh with insertable armor plates; then you carry a man weapon; i carried an AR15/m203 grenade launcher so would opt for that if I could; carried 4 - 30 round magazines of 5.57 ball ammnunition and 4 - m203 40mm grenages; plus pistol (.45 cal) and ammunition; web gear; bayonette, first aid pack; compass was common; ear plugs and spares; dog tags; two canteens, one with salted water, chemical mask; then you would pull any special equiptment for the mission.
am thinking we get sucked into this time vortex? if so; then would only have web gear and stuff on you that you always carry under possible threat. If it is a known exploritory mission; gear would include alice pack; MRE rations; rainponcho; weather gear as needed; extra clothes; mess kit; sewing kit; face paint and so on.
and of course; soldier all get manitory shots against pretty much everything you could get on the planet; I was world mobile for instance, attached to 82 airborne; so we got shots for everything; sheesh; you dont even know what they give you anymore; you just stop worrying; you might be getting small pox booster; malaria; or anthrax or some new experimental something; you just dont know.

Where did you find this information?
I am trying to wrap my head around it; so; we start in the real world with modern skills, languages, and the like; then we go to a fantasy setting, right, with magic and whatnot of some unknown industrial level; like we dont know if they have computers or are in the bronze age. And, I am guessing that we level up using a fantasy class from there; sounds really cool.
If that is the way it rolls; then will plan to take levels of Ranger; if pathfinder has that class; not done reading the link material.
are we going to be getting extra feats to make like our real world; say bonus to save vs disease as we all get a battery of at least minimal shots against everythign that used to kill everyone; like small pox; german measles, measles, rubella, diptheria, tetnus, and the like.
just curious; guess we all speak a specialized language; American English is 70% French(the adjectives, mostly Norman and Saxon that we use to decribe things); 15% Angle (the verbs and most of the words we use 90% of the time) lot of what left if Germain then a smattering of everything else; of course that changes for the sciences where it is mostly Latin; and religion where they study greek, Latin, and hebrew.; hmm; idle thoughts.
Well, we're doing point buy (28 points, Pathfinder version)
Valegrim
this concept kinda of reminds me of back in the late 70's eary 80's we were trying to make game versions of ourselves and play ourselves transported to a fantasy setting. Was really hard to do in the d&d style game system; but pretty easy in champions as just the skill points (and there werent skills like we have now back then) that everyone has for 12yrs of basic schooling; plus any college or trade school; throw in all that with a military career and all those skills; plus some people (like me) who have martial arts hobbies or some musicians who play lots of intruments, then add all the job changes and like that; whew; we never did get a working model, but that was years ago.
and how do you rate weapons; is a .45 2d6 damage; is it more; less; what about armor pierceing; i am very interested in how this is all going to work out; seems a huge project; yet very cool.

He said so earlier in the thread.
We don't really know anything about what fantasy world we end up in. Could be generic Bronze Age, could be Golarion, could be Ebberon, could just be a generic fantasy world.
Yes, Pathfinder has Rangers. At it's core, it is just 3.5 with several changes after all.
Well, I assume that sort of stuff is covered by the fact that we're playing 3rd level characters from the start. Besides, I'm pretty sure the GM isn't going to give us smallpox.
I honestly have no idea. I assume English will be treated as the native language, but beyond that who knows? Still, I doubt the history of the english language will come up that much.
*Second post of comments*
Well, the guns are being taken from d20 Modern. Body armor boosts your AC, and they generally ignore armor piercing.
Davi The Eccentric
for earth warrior at 3rd level and the bonus unarmed damage; are the brawl attacks considered armed like a monks attacks are?
and; pathfinder humans get +2 to a characteristic and some extra skills; as humans; do we get those and the extra human feat for versatility also?
Nope, still provokes an AoO unless they take Improved Unarmed Strike.
I assume we do.
