Has there been any discussion or plans for releasing any novels set in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting? I've always found novels to be a great way to quickly get to know a setting's overall theme, history, major players, and geography quickly. I think it's an avenue that could bring in additional revenue, promote the RPG, and help players get an even better insight on the campaign setting.
Even a series of short stories or weekly chapter releases by various contributors on the paizo.com website would be a great thing to see. I doubt you'd have a shortage of forum contributors willing to post their stories on the site.

This is a recurring theme of the boards. So far Paizo have said that they have plans, but they are in the early, early stages and not something they want to unleash on the world just yet. So, there are plans. Secret, spooky plans.

We are working on Pathfinder fiction and will hopefully have news to share in the next month or so.
Oh, and if you are Quentin Tarantino, the movie rights are still available! :)

These indeed are the videos to which I was referring, and I found them informative (thanks to Montalve for the linkage). Allow me to add my belated welcome to you, Tarrintino--I was in something of a hurry earlier.

I've got one last question though. Here goes:
Part of my concept is that while he's adventuring (the Council of Thieves AP, btw) he'll be spending his downtime working on and upgrading a bow for himself, which will be his masterpiece, starting with a simple longbow fresh out of the workshop, and then fine tuning and eventually enchanting it with more and more powerful magic properties. His bow will have great sentimental value and be very ornate and artistic, and his prized possession.
I understand the rules for the cost of upgrading an item magically, they're easy. It's just the cost of the resulting item minus the cost of the starting item. I also understand the time needed to upgrade.
What I'm missing is, again, the DC of the check and CL required. If they're the same as if I were creating the item newly, then I've got it already. For example, the DC and CL required for creating a brand new +1 seeking bow would be exactly the same as upgrading a +1 bow to a +1 seeking bow. If that isn't the case, how does this situation differ?
I also am concerned about the consequences of failure to make the DC while upgrading. Are just the materials for the upgrade destroyed, or would the whole bow be destroyed? Thanks again for all of your help.

To be accurate, these videos were taken at PaizoCon 2009. A glorious event that cannot be described within our mortal understanding.
But for those that love GenCon and its hysteria, I can see how one can get that confused. Similar to taking heavy drugs and believing you are in heaven as opposed to actually being there. I can say without a doubt, I know the difference.
