"Pearl, can you please show me which gate to go through. Just for right now, would you allow me to ride?"
If Pearl allows it, she will mount and allow Pearl to choose which gate they will approach.
Certainly.

"I am searching for someone who was taken here I believe. Someone who fell in battle against great evil. Please let me in." She pulls out a holy symbol of Aventurnus. "Aventurnus we know, Sandreef we do not. Who is it you seek? And why do you ride on of the King's mounts?"

The guards tense.
"Can you be more specific?"
"Also, we ask you to surrender the seahorse as it belongs to the King's garrison."

An officer appears shortly. He holds a gem glowing softly.
"I am told that you seek someone who was slain in the plain of RPG? Perhaps we should discuss this indoors, away from sharp ears. This way please." He points to a side room at the gate.
To the guards "Pls deliver the seahorse to the King's stables. She looks like she's worn."

Pearl is led off and you are led into a spartan office. The officer sits down at a desk, leaving you to stand/float. Two guards stand at the only door out.
"Now perhaps you can tell me why you are looking for someone that died in a far away land here in our city. And why you use the name 'Mirathan' for that person."

"Mirathan is the only name I know for him. He helped us fight against the Black. He was killed fighting against a Champion of the Black. His body was taken by those claiming to belong to his family. They had a notice with them that falsely accused him of a crime. They dropped it near the portal when they left. I believe they meant ill. Please, I only want to find where they have taken him."

Sorry about dropping out like that, an RL game beckoned and I can honestly say it wouldn't have been nearly as fun without me! ;p

If True Seeing (gem) can detect you, you're busted and asked to take your true form. The guards will aim their tridents, which will sparkle with electricity.

Not an illusion, he became the water.
Mirathan
"Here it is," she says, pulling out the scroll she had retrieved from Kaelar and setting it on the desk.
True Seeing pierces more than illusion. It can reveal natural shape. But the champion guidelines are special, so OK
The officer reacts with shock. He closes the case quickly and tucks it in his shirt. You are escorted to the King’s hall under guard and asked to avoid speaking with the locals. The trip is fairly quick, since you can swim over the lower sections of the city. At the hall entrance you are asked/ordered to surrender your weapons.

Crap! Kinda need to know if Kaelar is detectable by True Seeing.
He is water, and has the ability to spread out his molecules out. So yes, technically you can see him, but I doubt the guards are using micrscopes and even if they are, how are they going to catch the molecule of the Water Champion? Please note this ability only works in water.

The King’s hall is immense, and crowded with supplicants. There are two empty thrones and a smaller chair next to them that is occupied by an obvious diplomat. He looks exhausted. This must be the Regent. Next to him is a large elf warrior of many years, holding an adamantium trident. There are numerous guards in attendance to keep order among the crowd. The sergeant of your escort passes the Wanted poster to the Captain of the Guard in the hall, who also reacts with wide eyes that soon sharpen as they take you in. He passes the poster to the General next to the Regent with little reaction. The General whispers to the Regent and hands him the poster.
Regent Sertil Aernas Hestle orders the hall cleared.
Nimora Orlbereth
Once the hall is cleared from all but the Royal Guard the Regent stands. Holding the parchment in his shaking fist he says,
‘Explain yourselves! And this forgery! Why do you believe the Prince to be dead?'
"Forgery? Why would I forge this? I found it. It was dropped near the portal by the ones who took Mirathan's body. I believe him to be dead because those who were there to witness the end of the battle against the Champion of the Black told me that he had died and that these ones claiming to be from his family had taken his body. I have come here to find him. Please, I only want to help him, to bring him back if at all possible."
The Bard
Nimora waits, watching, unsure of what she should be doing. The politics here are even more complicated than the ones in her home. She watches the regent warily. This is the man who signed the order to bring in Mirathan dead or alive. Her anger burns, but she holds it in check.
A voice whispers through Nimora's mind. "Say what you wish, they will not be able to harm you. Time is on our side, and I am stronger when surrounded by so much water."
Mirathan
I pray what you tell me is not true, but the zone proves that you believe it to so.
Someone forged this document. Yes, PRINCE Mirathan is ‘wanted’, but for no crimes. His father lies on the brink of death, wounded by a sword of green energy wielded by a dark lord.
This document makes him out to be much more of a martial threat than he is, and impugns his honor by denying him his title! He looks about cautiously, accusingly at the General. And though skilled at the crossbow, his trident skills were mediocre.
If only he hadn’t asked his father for a leave of absence this city might have had better warning of the dark flotilla. His replacement upon the East Stone was not his equal, though he died his own noble death at his post. Never before has the East Stone sustained plant life, but yet somehow thorny vines found root there and strangled our Watcher, tearing his body asunder before he could sound the warning.
We were attacked on three fronts at once. (On the same date as the land battle with IB) The black ships above us dropped explosives, which shattered much of our home. Undead walked the sea floor in such numbers as to turn it black, with incorporeal spirits to guide and support them. Lastly, evil creatures of the deep places rose from their lairs to assail us on every side. Creatures from legends and from nightmares. If it were not for our King we would have lost to the Black.
He sits, looking spent.

I am trying to make up for that mistake. I have come so far trying to find the ones who have taken him. Please help me find them. Help me find where they have taken him."

Our scryers and search parties have been unable to locate him, on this plane or the plane of water.
The doors to the hall are thrown open. A tall female sea elf enters quickly. Her guard struggle to keep up. She is followed by another sea elf. One that looks like a younger version of Mirathan.
'Tell me this isn't true! Tell me that my son lives!'

To the General 'Double the guard on my husband and for Lerithan as well. The Dark still besieges us.'
"Could it be true?" ,The Bard wonders to himself. He sends a few molecules to see if this is so.
Imagine their surprise when the Dark suddenly has to face a leviathan formed entirely of water. No, not Rio's Leviathan.
Nimora Orlbereth
The Queen softens, 'Please tell me all you know. About my son, about this battle. Every bit can help. What did these people that claimed his body look like?'
'We seek the same thing.'

"I will tell you as much as I can, your majesty. Some of what I know was heard secondhand. Mirathan was determined to contribute in the fight against the Black. We both of us obtained magic from the Champion of Water to allow us to fight on land. And another friend gave us magical crystals to attach to our weapons, to help us fight. Mine was for use against undead, his was for use against contructs. He used it on his crossbow of course. He was hopeless with the trident. Even with the crossbow, he could hit like no one else I have ever seen, but he would never remember to duck in between shots. I tried to stay close to him during the battle, to protect him. He attacked a vicious construct, a Champion of the Black. He was doing well, but he kept just standing there. I was able to push him out of the way once, but the second time I didn't move fast enough. I died. I'm really not sure what happened after that. A powerful cleric named Esmerelda called me back to life, and when I asked what had happened to Mirathan, they told me that he had died, that a group of six sea elves claiming to belong to his family came and claimed his body. I found the scroll that made me believe there was foul play involved near the portal. And now no one can find where he is, body or soul. I would go anywhere if I only knew where to look. I'm so sorry I didn't do a better job of keeping him safe."

"Wait! Please, I know that the Water Champion was being impulsive in the manner he appeared here, but please there was no deception intended. After reading that scroll we had every reason to believe that we were walking into a trap. Kaelar only wished to make sure that we could get out again if that was the case. I am sorry I did not mention his presence as soon as I realized that it was not a trap, but there was so much to speak of that I had not yet gotten to that. Please forgive us. No time needed. Spending time in the Time Stream allows one to collect some pretty interesting items.
"While my power lies in water, I am a surface elf. Champion Of Water, yes. Deity whose magicks work in an anti-magic field? No. Even a Champion has limits. My resources on the other hand, are not so limited." Before he can be stopped, Kaelar pulls a rod from his belt pouch and twirls it, negating the anti-magic field. "Now why don't we all just calm down before I have to use the other relics in my possession?" Water begins to swirl around him.
To the Eyrie then, Lynora?
