Assuming Mirathan requested a quck-reloading crossbow, and Devlyn was able to find one for him.

Paddng backwards away from the attack, Mirathan looks over the new weapon,
obviously impressed by the storage capacity.

Time to try this out.

He aims for a coconut on one of the palms, and nails it. Pleased with the result, he shoots 3 more times and nails 3 more.

'I'm a bit better with a crossbow than a trident', he admits. 'You try the coco-nut water yet?'

She looks impressed.

Aquaan: "Yes, I can see that you have found the right weapon for you. I have not tried the coconut water yet, but I guess I can now," she adds with a laugh, going to retrieve one of the fallen coconuts, pulling the bolt from it, and tipping the liquid into her mouth.
"Mmmm. It's delicious."

And now we have a way to get them down from those trees.

Mirathan joins Nimora for a treat of 'co-co-nut water'.

She laughs as some of the coconut water dribbles out of her mouth.
Aquaan: It's delicious, but a little messy. Thank you for the coconut, Mirathan.

You're welcome. I've seen landwalkers climb these trees to get them, but I don't trust my land legs well enough to try it myself. I've had co-co-nuts that have fallen on their own.

He pulls out his dagger and splits the coconut open. Carving out a bit of meat from it he offers it to Nimora.

The meat inside is even better than the water.

She takes it eagerly, smelling it first, and then licking it before she pops it into her mouth and eats it. She closes her eyes in delight.

Mmmmm. You're right. It is better. It's so sweet.

be back later

Nimora and Mirathan enjoy the simple treat under the palms.

Good morning gentle folk. ;)

For a moment there, I thought the coconut had given Nimora the ability to speak Common fluently - until I realized she was probably still speaking Aquaan.

"It's a miracle!!!!...........Oh. No, nevermind...."

Yep - 'all dysfunctions normal' with me today ;P

LOL. Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot to type Aquaan in front of that one. :)

Head back to the Bazaar now?

Absolutely!

Devlyn and Allura head back to the Bazaar.

*Kiba slowly walks into the Oasis. He lets out a lupine sigh as he lies down in the shade of an Oasis tree. He seems tired and seems preoccupied by something.*

See his post in the Grove for ooc knowledge of why he's preoccupied.

"I think I'll see what's so great about this 'Bazaar'. Aidan, do nothing to draw undo attention to yourself. Do you want me to get you anything?"

*Aidan thinks it over.*
"Maybe a fire opal or ruby. You know something good at storing power?"
He looks around quickly and leans closer to Oroth*
"Hey, when are we going to tell everyone we're brothers?"

Aidan Shade wrote:

*Whispering even softer and moving away from anobody nearby, Oroth ansewrs.*

"I'm not sure we should. I don't think they trust me even a little bit. Its bad enough the creeps at the Carnival now I'm a kid, what do you think they'd do if they knew we were family?"

*Oroth straightens and begins to talk just a bit louder than necessary.*
"So red gems huh? I'll see what I can do."
*Shadows whirl around him, and he's gone.*

Looking as cool as a cucumber, the goblin in the tuxedo and bowtie from the casino strolls into the oasis, and makes for the pool, where he refreshes himself, and then leans casually against a date palm tree, apparently waiting for someone.
He has an appointment with Auruns scheduled, but I am off to bed right now. Happy Easter everyone, from the UK.

Happy Easter.

Coming back over a sand dune at some speed, with urgency to the effort with which he encourages speed from his gecko mount, Auruns comes racing back towards the Oasis, robes billowing.
Dinner time here; I will try to get another post in afterwards, before I lose computer access for the night.

Auruns enters the Oasis, nodding to Nimora as he dismounts by the pool and ties his gecko to a tree, so that it can drink without wandering off and becoming misplaced again. He then makes his way over to the other waiting goblin, and the two have an urgent conversation in low tones.

Occasionally the goblin with the tuxedo and bowtie raises an eyebrow - or on the odd occasion both.

Eventually, the goblins conclude their conversation, and the goblin with the tuxedo and bowtie heads off in the direction of the portal, and leaves the oasis.

Ethelbert peers from the waters, wondering where the tasty goblins are going

Your listen checks didn't get a boost when you went up an age category did it old man?

Yeah - we need to send Cranky back to the Bazaar. Methinks he wandered off after that chess game with ole' MacGrognard the other day. ;)

*The Bard suddenly emerges from his forge.*
"I fear something is happening at the Winds old stronghold. Who will travel there with me.?"
*Rio, Kiba, DbJ, and even Aidan chose to go. The omniportal flashes as the rush in.*

I have to go for now but I'll be back in a few hours.*

Nimora also goes with the Bard when he leaves to investigate the disturbance at the Place of the Wind.

Ethelbert goes on high alert by the portal

*The omniportal flashes as Oroth walks through. He searches the Oasis, but cannot find Aidan.*
"Does anyone know where Aidan is?"

Nimora comes back through the portal shortly after Oroth.
"Aidan is being with Kaelar right now. They is being go to someplace very hot. So Kaelar can being help Aidan controlling his new powers. Do not be worrying. Kaelar will being take good care of Aidan."

"New powers? I forgive me for not understanding, but did something happen while I was gone? Did something happen to my br- um, to Aidan?"

For a brief instant, Oroth's flickers, showing a kid about 10 or 12, before he solidifies again.

"It is possible that he may be the new Champion of Flame. A disturbing possibility. I would be wary, if I were you."

The goblin approaches PlantJack, his desert robes flapping.
You be one of the champions of the boards?

"Indeed I am. Aren't you that goblin who serves the 8th Runelord?"

"Oh, yes, that is being very different meaning. I is going try to being watch his back, but I is think that we can be doing it better if we is both watch his back, Oroth."

"Aidan has many friends who will protect him."
*The sunlight seems to fades from the area ever so slightly.*

Uh, one of them.

Auruns take sample of the stuff which reddish skeletons that attack the oasis the other day turn to when dead to the bazaar and spend a good deal of time asking a great many sages and wise men questions about it.
Sages say analysis very difficult, some say undead, some say constructs.
Eighth Runelord busy watching for moves by something dangerous and sneaky-clever, and not have time to take look at sample.
All sages say that attacking creatures likely created by powerful wizard or necromancer, and one say that nine thousand years ago a dracolich from the Realm of Dreams try something similar, but his magic not work very well and skeletons then fall to pieces if they try to fight; but Auruns see that skeletons which attack Oasis not fall to pieces when they fight, but need knocking apart, so Auruns think that this must be a better wizard than that dracolich.

"Thank you, Auruns. This is most helpful." Plantjack seems to smile, though it's hard to tell on a plant.

Well please to make sure that other important people find out. Auruns make report to Runelord, but Runelord trying to find a trouble-making gypsy band, and not have much time for organising people about skeletons.

Shadow Lodge

Slowly, all my aliases return to the Oasis, though Kiba goes to join E7.

Maybe we can use the crystal Devlyn brought us, and the bolts we use to drive sharks away? Construct damage and bludgeoning. Better than getting close to those things.

Auruns leave bigwigs to think and head back out on patrol.
The goblin heads over to the pool where he unties his giant gecko, remounts, and heads back off out amongst the sand-dunes. He is soon lost from sight.

"Is being good idea. The crystal he was being give me for fight undead is being work excellent well. But I is not being familiar with bolts you is speaking of...Oh, is you mean the bolts from your crossbow? Yes, is being very good idea. You is being much better with crossbow than trident and I is not having to worry so much about you being stay safe."
