Looking lost, a rust-monster wanders into the oasis and starts nosing around for metal, antennae twitching...

The rust monster finds a weapon rack full of swords which someone has left around, and begins to happily reduce them to powder, on which he snacks.

Having finished with the swords, the rust monster turns around, looking for fresh food. Its antennae begin twitching excitedly, as it catches Aidan's 'scent', and that of the lovely new armour which Aidan's wearing!

Devlyn pulls Allura into the woods, quickly taking off the few bits of metal he has on him at the moment, and handing them to her for safe keeping. He then calls upon his Belsameth's Blessing to assume tiger form, and bounds out into the clearing, between Aidan and the rust monster. He issues a loud growl in warning, hoping to buy enough time for one of the spellcasters to immobilize this thing less bloodily...

The omniportal flashes and the white-bikinied form of Alaina walks down the stair

"Sunny Godhead is making a big announcement soon here at the Oasis. He sent me over to tell you all."

When Devlyn finished with Aidan and Nimora, he got a few hours of shut-eye, then took to the borders of the Oasis for the rest of the night to make sure no unpleasant surprises showed up. He had to chase off that rust monster a few more times, after it managed to find some more metal to munch on, but otherwise the night was quiet.
In the predawn, he goes to the smaller pool/glade nearby that he and Allura have been using of late, and gets in some practice of his own before the others get up.

"Morning, love" he says as he turns around and smiles brightly back. "Apart from some rust monster wrangling, it was quite uneventful. You didn't miss much excitement," he adds with a wink as he puts his training blade back in his quiver.
"Care for a swim? From the sounds of it this may be the last chance we get at a quiet morning for a while. The kobolds were up until the wee hours last night talking battle plans."

As the first rays of dawn shine past the dunes, Kaelar can be seen watching it of the water's surface. Later, Rio goes for a dip in the shallows. Oroth begins shaping his shadows and Aidan can be seen spinning his starknives. The were-eagle and Kiba are gone...

Allura swims well and manages to keep away for a minute or two before he finally catches her, and he finds his tickling attempts interrupted by a kiss.
Allura blushes and swims up to the surface quickly.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" she thinks to herself. "First you tell the guy you don't know if you can trust him and then you kiss him. I don't suppose I can convince him it was an accident?"
