Clandru:
Everyone: XP for saving the young noble:75 each.
You set out for the castle, the fires in different areas cast an eerie glow on the low-lying smoke clouds, breathing is difficult, due to the smoke inhalation. The scene is surreal as the smoke and flickering light source combine with the sounds of combat and screams of women and children create an atmosphere of complete confusion. It's as if Korvosa has been transported straight to the Nine Hells...a site which is almost confirmed as an imp flies past you with a burning piece of timber cackling with glee as it drops the timber onto a thatch roof, which immediately blazes up. You can't help but wonder if anyone was inside when suddenly you hear a shrieking child.
uh oh, that's not in the AP...

DM X |

As you approach, some burning thatch falls towards Sorin, who quickly tumbles out of the way, only singeing a patch of your hair, which you put out quickly, the burning thatch on the interior of the house falls in front of the single window, you hear a crash of a cabinet falling and more cries of anguish from inside. Sorin you reach the front door and attempt to open it, the door moves open approximately an inch, fingers grab at the door from inside attempting to pull it open, but it won't budge. You see a green eye peering through the hole, and a panicked female voice cries. "Help Us!!!"
you assume you have 3-5 rounds to get them out of the building before it is completely engulfed in flame

Pavo Alazario |

Not exactly sure what to do, Pavo will approach the burning building and lend some vocal support to the ones hitting the door as he removes his cloak and casts a simple Prestidigitation spell to soil his cloak, hoping the soiled condition helps to protect it from the flames as he begins to beat at the flames, doing his best to put them out as he shouts, "Dorran, help Marra, we need to get through that door!!"

PC Puppet |

DORRAN
Dorran lends his shoulder to the door, there's a loud screeching then the door's movement stops, the cabinet is stuck, but there is now enough room for Sorin to squeeze in.
Nasserath hasn't posted in 16 days, no idea what is going on with him, perhaps he's busy with Comic-Con or something, I hope he's fine, I will NPC him to the castle, during the castle stuff, he'll be easy to lose until he returns as he will be utilized by the Sable Company, unfortunately I was going to use him as the link for a secondary encounter...hope he returns.

DM
Sorin yells through the crack in the door. "Here take the kid, I need to help get the other one." Sorin passes a child out of the gap in the door.
DM

Marra "The Phoenix" Warblade |

"Dorran, take the child"
Marra draws her falcata and begins hacking at the door with the heavy blade after the child is passed through.
"SORIN!" "GET OUT OF THERE!!"
The door begins to weaken visibly between the heat and the blows from the heavy blade
Damage to Wooden door

DM X |

As Clandru wrestles with the thought of entering the building through the window, and Marra hacks at the door while Dorran consoles the now crying child. A patrol of the City Guard arrives on scene.
"Get away from that building...it's going to collapse." the Sergeant states in a matter of fact tone.

Pavo Alazario |

Not wanting anymore to suffer than whose who have already, Pavo leaps through the window and lands on the other side. Seeing the mess he had gotten himself into, the young sorcerer looks around and, not spotting Sorin, shouts, "Sorin! Where are you!" Then sets to work removing whatever obstruction is blocking the door.

CLANDRU:
Pavo: Perception Check
DC 10:
DC15:
DC20:
I hope this scene is as exciting to you guys as it is to me...
CLANDRU: you still haven't updated your character to level 2...

Pavo Alazario |

As soon as Pavo enters the burning, smoke filled room, his senses are suddenly hampered as he begins to cough violently. This was definitely much different than what he was use to, but he would be damned if the children and mother here were injured due to his inaction. However, even with the supernatural perception that Pavo's bond with Alistar grants him, the young sorcerer can only make out black smoke and red flame through the tears that cloud his vision. Thinking he hears Sorin's voice among the chaos, he does his best to head in that direction, hoping to aid his new friend in saving the occupants of the house.
Well, this rescue attempt is quickly turning suicidal, now isn't it?

DM X |

D'oh, sorry, was starting up a new PAranoia game, I let this one slip for a few hours
Sorin:
Clandru:

DM X |

You hear a horrible screaming from the woman, some thrashing and then it's suddenly choked off...you fear the worst has happened...
CLANDRU's Roll: 1d20=12 sorry Clandru, have to keep the game moving, when the game slows we lose players..
Clandru manages to dislodge the Chest of drawers, the door splinters with the town guard assisting Marra now. The rush of additional air causes the fire to flare. 2 fire dmg to all in the building.

Pavo Alazario |

Hearing the door break apart and feeling the heat as the fire flares from the added air, Pavo shouts "Everyone, help Sorin get the occupants out of here!" as he crouches down a bit to get out of the worst of the smoke. Then he moves closer to the door to help move the children out of the building as well as get a breath of much needed fresh air.

DM X |

Shift to Pathfinder?
So who's up for the shift to Pathfinder when it hits? As DM I'd prefer to make the shift to Pathfinder Final.
Also, I'm looking at replacing Dorran, and if Clandru doesn't show up again, I can possibly replace his as well, I hope he shows back up though.
Sorin/Pavo please hang in there...I don't want this game to die...so please be patient.

Clandru KRUPTER |

After many hesitations , I decided to drop this game.
I was waiting a bit to see if I could find a way to make Clandru clinch with the rest of the group but I found out I was no longer interested in playing him .
I don't know why exactly . One of the reason is the fact I do not feel like we are a group yet .

Sorin |

I would like to switch to the Final PRPG rules.
I will keep playing as long as there is a DM.
I think one of the big problems with the group is three of us were victims of Lamm and two were not and since we made up such a history for the three that were victims they meshed better. Sorry to see you go.

Pavo Alazario |

I have a few games who want to make the switch, so I will be getting the final version anyway. I can't wait to see what the final version will be like. I am in this for the long haul, so no need to worry about me dropping.

DM X |

Since Dorran has utterly disappeared, my wife is going to jump in for that place, and I have a friend who I'm asking if he wants to take Clandru's place...if not then I'll recruit a healer from the boards...meanwhile...back in the flaming jungle.
Clandru rushes back into the building as Pavo and Sorin stagger out of the building, Pavo still coughing out a lungful of smoke. Moments later a burned Clandru staggers to the destroyed window and hands the mother off to a pair of the guards as the building collapses around him...the fire flares as the thatch blazes, and everyone has to take a few steps back as the heat is so intense.
As you examine the mother, it looks as though she's already been healed, where her clothing is burned to a crisp, only fresh pink skin shows through, covered in soot, she appears to be no worse for wear, though she is still unconscious...you were sure she'd been dead...
A heroes' death...in a true blaze of glory
