Rosie grabs a bucket and fills it from the pool. She quickly wheels over to her mistress and dumps the water on her. She repeats this until someone tells her to stop.

That's enough Rosie. Thank you.

The treant send a tendril to the unconscious Alaina and draws off the chemicals from the pool water. With a sour expression he transfers the chemicals back into the pool.

The water soaks into the green coccoon. A profusion of flowers burst forth, growing taller in a trice. The flowers blossom, create seeds and slowly wither. The green chrysalis turns autumn colors and then turns brown. It flakes away to reveal Alaina, now completely naked. Running from the small of her back and running up to her neck are a multiplicity of vines and leaves intertwined in a fractal Celtic knotwork.

Alaina remains unconcious

Invisi-posts again?

JH's eyes are fixed upon the unconscious form of Alaina. One because she's nekked, but he is also drawn to the new tattoo so similar to his own.

Lynora-Jill can see JH's fascination, and she bites her lip. She's not going to be jealous. Nope, not gonna happen. Yeah right. She can't even lie to herself.

Rosie, would you please go get your mistress some clothes, She says quietly, covering her friend with a beach towel.

Lynora-Jill's movements break JH's concentration, but only slightly. His eyes remain fixed.

You know, that might be the key... If the dracolich were to regain a semblance of life wouldn't he be easier to hurt? Is such a thing possible?

Is that possible? Could we bind his powers with the power of life?

She is somewhat reassured by the fact that he is thinking of strategies to defeat the dracolich. But only somewhat.

Looks like it - the post about Alaina's emergence from the cocoon only now showed up for me. Weird...

Oh, and if I may...
Keeps the Dalesman on the sidelines. The dialogue is enthralling, and any mention of fighting undead gets his attention

By all means, more players always welcome here. And I'm actually having less trouble with the invisi-posts today. They were unbearable last night, but I've actually been able to see everything so far today.

I'm actually having more problems than yesterday. It makes it hard to keep up with the storyline.

Hit or miss for me today. I hit refresh a lot. Somtimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Been ready a couple of times to go back to the simpler life of launching things from our volleyball net, on our 'white sand' mini-beach.

Big D - Glad that our little pasttime/addiction is being enjoyed by people other than ourselves. It's like a free format story with multiple authors.

There are magics that create a temporary Spark of Life, making most undead more susceptible to damage. Perhaps the Sun God could help?

The Fire Flower is taking a long time to awaken...

I've enjoyed the stories as well. You, Lynora, KC, and Patrick are very creative people. I'm willing to bet all of you are great DMs.

A voice comes from the shadow of a nearby tree. "Either use the power of life magic, or weapons forged to battle the worst of the undead."

A human walks out of the shadow of the tree, as if he was a part of it. He wears dark clothing of exquisite quality (most likely elven), but any details are hard to make out. A worn backpack and a gear-laden belt indicate that he is no stranger to the adventurer's life.

He reaches into his pack and pulls out a bundle of cloth, offering it to Lynora-Jill. "These may not be a perfect fit, but they should preserve the lady's modesty a little better until she comes 'round."

A strange man wanders in, dressed in the apparel of a Molthuni man of military rank, looking somewhat puzzled.

Excuse me. I am looking for the untitled thread. A while ago I was at a barbecue, at Mammy's house, and I nodded off, only to find that whilst I was enjoying my nap, the house and barbecue had moved elsewhere, not unlike the Land of Green Ginger I suspect.

Thank you, she says with a smile, taking the clothes and putting them on Alaina.

I'm afraid I haven't met you before. My name is Lynora-Jill. And we are happy to welcome anyone who wishes to help us in our fight against the Dracolich and his Champion of Flame.

Of course. Take a right at the Generic Post thread, you should be there in no time.

JH turns to JRHM and mouths 'Modesty?', then turns back to the newcomer.

And who might you be stranger? Noting the fluidic grace in which this one moves. And what weapons do you speak of?

lynora-Jill wrote:

The Emperor chuckles silently at the man-things and their need to cover themselves. He knows that the Fire Flower does not need that anymore.

He wonders how the young ones did not notice the newcomer until he was within striking distance. He walked straight up to them. But he sensed no threat. At least at this time. But the manner in which he acquired the garb of the deep-wood elves would be more telling.

My thanks. I shouldn't be at all surprised to find a button-nosed tortoise around, I tell you.

You may have seen my assistant coming and going at times... a small green fellow currently on the look-out for Runelords. My apologies for any undue fuss which he has caused, or if he has gotten under foot on any occasion. I tell him to be careful, but I am not sure how much attention he pays at times.

The man makes a deep bow to the ladies, nods to The Dalesman respectfully, as one professional to another, and makes his way out.

"I had heard that there was quite the party going on here, but it looks like things have taken a more serious turn."

He pulls back the cowl covering his head and features, revealing a young, handsome face with snowy white hair and eyes that have seen a lifetime.

"My name's Devlyn Xoniver, though most people just tend to call me 'Dalesman'. I'm not from around here, but I've had some experience with fighting undead scions like the one you mention. If you need to send one to its final rest, I might be able to help."

As he says this, he rests on hand on the sturdy, well-worn quiver attached to his belt and tied to his thigh. From it, he draws forth a two-bladed sword (again, of elven make) that should not be able to fit in there with a simple, fluid grace. Those present who can sense magic feel an overwhelming presence from it, but that also feels benevolent - and almost holy.

"I scout and fight when I need to, and know how to get around in the dark places these kind of beings like to hide in. If it comes to blows, I can hold my own. However, if you want to go the route of fighting the power of death with life, I'm all for that too. The ancient powers of the Fey tend to be the strongest forces of life energy around - perhaps that would be a place to look for a 'weapon' as well?"

He nods to the Witch Hunter General respectfully as he is excusing himself.

The Fire Flower is taking a long time to awaken...

The words of the treant belatedly register in the mind of the priestess.

What is a Fire Flower?
And if the Sun God can help, perhaps I should go and ask for his assistance. I used to be his high priestess, so he might be willing to listen to me.

Alaina stirs as Lynora-Jill dresses her. She opens her eyes, and Lynora-Jill is surprised to see that they have turned a bright emerald green

What ..what happened?

I am pleased to meet you Devlyn Xoniver. I have no experience in fighting the undead or anything else really, so any advice you have to offer is appreciated.
frowns slightlyI am not familiar with these fey you speak of. What are they?

Alaina! You're alright. Your eyes! They've turned green. Oh, I was worried. You grew a cocoon, and then when you came out of it you were naked, but covered in intricate green markings.

I'm sorry about the clothes, I know they're not attractive. But they were handy for the moment.

Well, you can always check it out for yourself ..I run four PbPs on this board along with this OTD improv RP thang Gary..:)

Devlyn sheathes the ancient blade, and the warm presence fades. He offers a hand down to Alaina with a kind smile.

"I'm afraid that you were the victim of an ambush fashion makeover, ma'am. And while most of it looks amazing (including that interesting 'tattoo' on your back), I'm afraid the clothes probably don't do you justice. I apologize for that - it's all I had on me."

Alaina gets to her feet. The large peasant shirt covers her up fairly well, dangling to a few inches above the knee.

Well, no more trying to assist The Tree Emperor! Wow, I feel like the time I did jello shooters off of Hanali Celani's bell ...err..nevermind...

Blushes

I think I need to go get a drink or something ..I'm wicked thirsty .

Clutches at Lynora-Jill

Could you walk me over to the bar Lyn?

Takes in the stranger and smiles a shaky smile

Who are you sir?

lynora-Jill wrote:

"Really? I heard this place was practically a Fey shindig a few days ago. Of course, I also heard that there were all kinds of folks here - don't know how much of that was true, or if it was just the alcohol talking for that guy, and 'enhancing' his memory a bit."

Alaina chimes in

We had several of the Seelie Court here on the weekend, and one Unseelie ..I think. A particularly ugly leprechaun with a penchant for pool cleaning named Spanky ..

I don't think that I was paying much attention to the other guests at the time she says with a sidelong glance at Jack Hammer.
She helps Alaina over to the bar and pours her a drink.

lynora-Jill wrote:

A Fire Flower is a very rare flower. Very beautiful, but very dangerous. And their fires do not harm plants, so we can live side-by-side.

Have you never seen a field of Fire Flowers? It is a very beautiful sight. I could take you to one...err...that might be a bad idea. If you let me I could implant the vision into your mind. Errr...that might be a bad idea as well. It's crowded in there now. Perhaps when we prevail.

"Just your friendly neighborhood Dalesman, ma'am. I have to presume that you are the hostess of the parties that everyone has been praising. I came to see what this was all about, but I seemed to have stumbled into the middle of your undead problem. Your friends and I were discussing ways to handle that."

"However, I think a drink and maybe some food should be the first order of business for you. It's been a long walk for me, and I could use something myself (if it's not any trouble, of course)."

Starts walking with the others to the bar when they move.

But he does remember the dryads and their looks, hungry and dangerous.

Smiles at the silver-haired stranger

Well, Sir Dalesman, I'm sure Rosie and Acme can fix us both a little something. I have this strange craving for vegetable soup..

Walks shakily with Lynora-Jill's assistance over to the bar area.

*whirs up with a change of clothes.*

Sorry for the delay mistress. I will be right back with your soup. And food and drink for your guests.

*whirs off*

Alaina smiles

Thank you Rosie! Could you make sure everyone gets fed and watered? I am going to go change ..

Sashays off to the changing cabana by the pool, the sturdy linen shirt the Dalesman loaned her whipping around her bronzed thighs as she walks away, her flaming hair swirling around her waist.

Acme starts mixing up Dark&Stormies for the Jacks, a margarita for Lynora-Jill and a MiracleGro and soda for the ancient treant Emperor. He zips over to the Dalesman

*BEEP*

What is your drinking pleasure sir? We carry a large collection of beverages from around the Wheel.

A Jack sporting a large shiny scar down his midsection emerges from the clubhouse. He stomps over to the group

*YAWN*

I miss anything good today?

The Dalesman wrote:

Some of my brothers use the sword, but I've been using a hammer since the day I was...born?...awakened?...

[i]He absentmindedly runs his gauntleted hand across the top of the hammer.

A small frog and a small pink rodent come scurrying out from the clubhouse and begin chasing each other around Lynora-Jill's legs.

Can't catch me Lemmi!

SQUEE!

Malice grins and unslings his M16A2 with M203 grenade launcher

Swords and hammers are fine, but I'll put my faith in my boomstick.

The priestess smiles at the antics of the frog and the...naked mole rat? She still wasn't entirely clear what Lemmiwinks actually was.

Hello, Malice Jack. We're still discussing strategy. Oh, and this is the Dalesman. And Alaina got transformed by earth magic. I'm not really sure of the extent of it.

Gives the silver-haired stranger the once over and sticks out his metal hand

Pleased to meetcha!

Yells over his shoulder

ACME!

Mojito me! Chop chop!

*BEEP*

Right away sir!

Zips over with a mojito

And now the Dalesman must make the hour-long commute home. Will try to log back in shortly. He will do his best to make friendly conversation, and muse to himself on how captivating Alaina can make simple homespun look :)
