So our group is a pretty solid group
Master Wonderflame a Gnome Fire Mage Oracle of Flame (he likes to burn stuff)
Jo-Kar a Dwarven Monk Inquisitor, ever in the search for Knowledge
Vic an Half Elf Rogue Trapsmith on his way to Master Spy
Ostrava Boletraia A Half Orc Paladin of Aroden and Warrior of the Holy Light
Milodam Gorfist A Halfling Druid Cavalier
We got rid of Gorfist the character and the player (better for the game)
We now have a Strait Sword and Board two weapon fighter who was cursed and is covered in Tatoos that make him unable to speak trying to find the witch who cursed him so he can speak
Adding another new player he is play an Elf Barbarian Battle Oracle going into Battle Profet

PF rule set, PCs are just about to finish up Children of the Void.
Shorty Wobblybush: Halfling Rogue5, has a tendency to rip off the rest of the party and pocket more loot for herself than needed.
Zarg: Half-Orc Barbarian4/Cavalier1, "traditional" barbarian (he's illiterate and impulsive).
Zanhan: Dwarf Ranger4/Druid1, greedy but driven. He's already stolen two boats and has been obsessively training Profession: Sailor since the first acquisition.
Myla (RIP): Half-Elf Bard4. The only Good-aligned character in the party, and often mediator of internal disputes. Unfortunately, after nailing the door of the safest-seeming structure on Devil's Elbow and going to sleep, the party faced a wraith that claimed Myla before being cut down.
Mebbitinkle: Gnome Sorcerer5 reincarnated into a bugbear body. Wears fake manacles and chains when meeting new NPCs to allay their fears and hostility, and shocks most to find that instead of the calculated and brutal killer that inhabits most bugbear bodies, she is a brash thrill-junkie that likes to see the pretty lights her magic can make.
We will soon be adding an Osiriani cleric of Pharasma that works as a paranormal investigator and ghostbuster. She has traveled all of the way from the Inner Sea to investigate the hauntings of the failed colony on Devil's Elbow.

The group I am in is oddly mostly CN...except for one or two guys. We actualy are working great so far.( Most people in the group play CN right...)
No names. But as it is new and heck I am lucky if I remember people RL names.
1) Human(Kellid) female Barbarian...traveled to city to see the world from the Realms of the Mammoth Lords...basic fish out of water.
2) Human(unkonwn) male ranger....a local who worked in areas outside of the city...ended up going to the 'Cheat the devil and take his gold' due to boredom. Did not even gambled. Also I believe the only non CN character.
3)Human (unknown) male Oracle of battle( with the blind curse)...came to gamble....the player sometimes take awhile to get into characters so that is all I really have.
4) Elf male rogue...elf with a limp...and a con artist(so who knows if it is a real limp)...plus gambler...former pirate. Been around riddle port for awhile.
5) Human(mixed) female witch...came to riddle port as a orphan when her parent's ship was raided by pirates. Was taken in and raised by the temple of Calastria. Lives in a little shack that she had moved to a alley way by the Golden Goblin Gambling Hall. Likes to help the poor people in the city...and is completely crazy(talks to her dead family members including her twin sister). If you have not guess by all the infomation this is my character.
Also I think we all ready to betray the owner of the Golden Goblin if anybody offers us money...heck I took the job to do so practily.

Ice_Deep |
1) CN Human Sorcerer (Arcane Bloodline) (ME)
My character is a member worshipper of Calistria, I made contact with a high member of the church who wanted me to investigate possible prostitution at the Golden Goblin
2) CN Human Barbarian (To go Oracle - Rage Prophet)
He busted open the surprise round, and sliced down both the leaders of the gang while I took out the 3 chumps, though I think he wanted to kill me when I told him we would return the money back in exchange for a "finders fee" though we were given it all. Seemed rather odd for the character to hand over 1000gp sorta un-business like, don't know if it's part of the AP or not
3) CG Human Cleric (Worshipper of Desna)
Fond of trying to work on her worship, played a Cleric in every game we have played in PFRPG. CG instead of LG though, so might be interting
There will be a round robin NPC/PC Fighter who will be played by all 3 of the above players as well as there player, and a halfling rogue NPC/GMPC.
Interesting so far, though I worry about dieing from the bad guys, as well as the Barbarian. I think he has thought about knocking me out (or mumbled such) atleast once..

I'm currently DMing Second Darkness as a solo adventure for a Tiefling Summoner (true Netural) with a big arse biped eidolon. He's taken a level of fighter to help himself stay alive, but mostly has focused on using summoned monsters, his eidolon and friendly NPCs to survive. We’re currently about to finish Children of the Void.
I'm using the idea that this character’s being a summoner is a unique thing (i.e. no other summoners in Golarion). The home-brewed metaplot is that the character is actually a Glabrezu demon that was punished by having its soul split into separate parts. The eidolon represents the pure demonic part of the soul and the tiefling is the reasoning/rational portion.
As the chronicle continues, the character will realize that his "childhood" was a farce and that his true nature is far more complex than just being a tiefling. Eventually, he’ll realize that supernatural forces have deliberately sent him on this path for their own nefarious purposes and that his destiny will be to prevent Asmodeus from converting the Drow and saving the world from falling meteorites!

I'm running SD as the framework for a mixed yahoo groups online campaign (the heroes won't be playig in all of the adventures and Shadow In the Sky will be occurring behind the scenes)
But our online group is:
Osolf: Human Evoker - very blasty. May become the party leader.
Rane: Human Commoner? (he hasn't revealed his character class yet...the character doesn't even know what it is yet, though the player does) a bit naiive (considers his encounters with the party to be the BEST DAY EVAR!) He recently recieved a Harrowing that forshadowed a few events including an "upcoming disaster"
Freeman Felix: Human Alchemist - noble born, out to prove himself. (And Freeman is his first name, not a title)
Bristol Swan: Human Blooded Noble (LPJr Class: Modified) Taldor Nobleman sent out by the familyu patriarch to make his fortune or die trying
Larian: Elf Inquisitor of Shelyn - presently searching for a wizard who stole a book from one of the Elven temples
Corona: Aasimar Cleric (We used the Tiefling Rules from COT modified for celestial effects) Beautiful and charaismatic
Uthak Thrak: Halforc Fighter: Ex Slave, a little rough aroudn the edges
Kyalin: Halfelf Sorceress (Player will be joining us in about a week. Her bloodline is unknown, even to the player- she wanted me to pick one and give her the mechaics without telling her what the actual bloodline is. As someone who doesn't "study" the rulebooks much, she hasn't yet figured out what she has. She wants it to be a surprise.)
So far, the party is still exploring Riddleport, but they will end up at the Golden Goblin eventually....

Jeffrey Palmer |

Why would this person want to help the elves and stop drow or care about earthfall?
The character doesn't know he's a piece of a demon's soul, he still thinks he's just a "normal" tiefling with some unique magical abilities. He migrated from Cheliax to Riddleport looking for a place to fit in and make a living. Initially he became involved in the adventure working at the Golden Goblin and then got involved with winning the bar from Saul. In Children of the Void, he wanted to get away from the city for a bit and get rich by getting involved with the the Skymetal rush.
He's interested in the drow now, after meeting up with them twice, and curious about the magic they're using to call the meteorites. We're about the begin Armageddon’s Echo and the hook I'm using to get him to travel to the elven forest is a combination of bribery by the elves and the sighting of an old enemy being involved with the drow. I’m waiting until Endless Night to reveal the true nature of the character’s origins.

Started playing this AP last January using 3.5
Rab - Halfling Swashbuckler
Patches - gnome cleric of Cayden Cailean
Tabor - dwarves monk
Pumen - human ranger
Euryale - human bard
Elf Wizard...can't remember his name.
We concerted to Pathfinder between Shadow in the Sky and Children of the void. Lost our wizard player, and Pumen was torn asunder by a troll. The new group...
Rab - Halfling rogue (swashbuckler)
Patches - cleric
Tabor - dwarves monk (drunken monk)
Morgrim - dwarves fighter
Euryale - human bard
Turkleton - half-Orc alchemist
We just started The Armageddon Echo and have done our second mission for the elves.

Joey Virtue |

So our group has had some changes (players leaving real life getting in the way and so forth) At the end of Children of the Void
Ostrovia half orc Paladin Warrior of the Holy Light worships Aroden
Jo Kar Dwarf Monk/Inquisitor of Knowledge
Kwavan Elf Oracle/Barbarian going into Battle Prophet Junior member of Shin'Rakorath
Phos Elf Alchemist Junior member of Shin'Rakorath
Noddick Half Elf Sandman (Ostrovia Cohort)

DMFTodd |

Not sure what the fascination is with these threads, but I'll play:
Stig, Shoanti barbarian: Shanghai'd, sold to Clegg Zincher's gladiator pits, won his freedom.
Valourous, Elven Cleric: Feels his god has pulled him to Riddleport for purposes unknown. His god and Shin'Rakorath being somewhat related.
Pennington Hobbes, Paladin of the Hobbit Mother: In paladin fashion, has chased a pirate half-way around the world to bring him to justice for stealing a bushel of apples. Trail went cold in Riddleport. Said pirate will be on the Teeth of Araska.
Mortimer, Gnome Wizard: Hoping to become a seeker.
Harvey, Human Rog/Cleric of Mog: Started as a rogue but will be a cleric of Mog - god of secrets and knowledge - from here on out. Used Mortimer's magical research of the blot to become a Seeker.
Arr'mesh, Lizardman rogue: Recently walked out of the swamp into Riddleport civilization. Saul saw him as the perfect dupe and took him in.

Currently in the middle of Children of the Void, PCs are Pathfinder and I'm converting all NPCs to PF as we go along.
Using Herolab and d20pro
1. Enzo Erasmus - 4th level Tiefling Magus.
Acts and sounds like Puss-in-Boots from Shrek. Except for the cat eyes. Well, actually he has those, but they're in the back of his head (literally, he rolled all-around-vision for alternate power to casting Darkness.)
2. Hackulus "Orc'n'beans" Hamfist - 4th Level Half-Orc two-handed fighter
He's the best at what he does. And what he does is... Butcher.
Popular target for Enlarge and Bull's Strength (or Strength-of-The-Bull! as we like to call it).
Has a greatsword named "Stabitha" who's pommel is chained to his belt buckle. He doesn't believe in scabbards. No joke.
3. Jax Blax - 4th level Half-Elf Rogue
Looks like Solomon Kane from... Solomon Kane. Two weapon fighter, general quick thinker. Keeps a cool head. A much needed member of the party.
4. Maenor - 4th level Elven Evoker
Newest member of the party, also apprentice member of the the Shin-Rakoth <sp?> assigned to observe and help the party uncover the truth of the situation. Badasss spellcaster with decent bow proficiencies.
5. Zahur Zalika - 4th level Human Cleric of Sarenae
Shield and scimitar wielder, generally bad-tempered Quadiran. Knows how to kick-ass and take names. Definitely the kill now ask questions later kinda priest.
That's it.

Huh, I thought I posted here. We started playing SD with 3.5 rules, and then converted to Pathfinder after Shadow in the Sky. We are currently in The Armageddon Echo.
Our group started out as...
Rab - Halfling Swashbuckler, and worshipper of Cayden
Patches - Gnome Cleric of Cayden
Euryale - Human Bard
Pumen - Human Ranger
Tabor - Dwarf Monk, on the path to Drunken Master, worshipper of Cayden
Elf Wizard who thought he was a melee fighter
After converting to Pathfinder, our group changed slightly
Rab - Halfling Rogue [Swashbuckler], and worshipper of Cayden
Patches - Gnome Cleric of Cayden
Euryale - Human Bard
Pumen - Human Ranger
Tabor - Monk [Drunken Master]
Turkelton - Half-Orc Alchemist
On Devil's Elbow, Pumen was rent asunder by a troll. We were joined by a refugee from the dwarven expedition.
Morgrim - Dwarven Fighter
Methinks I need to put the Journal up

ANebulousMistress |

Because my games tend to pick up after I've posted about them on these boards...
Katrina (PC)
LE human Urban Barbarian 8
Chelaxian diabolical loyalist. Heard about a weird branch of the Church of Asmodaeus in Riddleport that seduced new members with debauchery (I replaced elements of Shadow in the Sky, can you tell?). Is expected to oppose the drow because of their demonic leanings.
Jalynn (GMPC)
N half-elf Cleric of Brigh 8
Has a thing for making random clockwork doodads. Inherently dislikes the idea of a stagnant society (read: the Winter Council). Wants to build a golem or even just a mechanical monkey.
Yes that means I'm one-on-oneing this AP. It's not the first time. I ran Carrion Crown with only one player and found that if I started the PC(s) at second level and ignored the XP chart (instead I took the XP total for each encounter and just divided it in half) the AP ran smoothly at the medium XP track. Encounters were as difficult as they would normally be for a properly leveled party of 4.
Taking that lesson... I found that if I start the PC(s) at 1st level, use the CRs as written, and use the XP values out of the PF book then I don't actually have to add or subtract encounters. Two PF PCs in a 3.5 AP using the fast track XP line means the PC(s) end up hitting the level milestones exactly as they're presented in the AP volumes.
The only complaint about doing it this way: holy heck the AP goes by fast. We started in... mid May? Have been on hiatus for a month. So in a month and a half we ended up taking out almost half this AP. Hopefully we play tonight...

Samnell |

Beta rules, currently wrapping up the big raid on the Goblin.
Emmah, chelaxian female wizard
Gerth, halfling male rogue
Gina, human female cleric of Pharasma
Njalar, Ulfen human male barbarian/rogueIt's a PBEM, so things have moved slowly. Looking forward to the back half of Shadow in the Sky, though.
It's been a while.
Emmah the wizard died and got replaced by Tanara the ninja.
Gerth died and his player withdrew from the game. Replaced him with an NPC elf sorcerer (boreal bloodline) who got killed by the aboleth in Celwynvian.
Shortly after the elf NPC got put in, I scrounged up another player who now plays Lliovynn the elf wizard.
Njalar switched from being a barbarian/rogue to being a hybrid barbarian/werebear thing we knocked together with a fair bit of the barbarian stuff stripped out and replaced with some wild shaping into bear and hybrid manbear forms.

Well, two years later and the party has become completely mixed up with new people joining and others leaving.
I'm running it a bit more Sandboxy and the Shadow in the Sky has become sort of a backdrop behind the adventures the heroes are investigating based on rumors, personal ambition, or complete misunderstanding of some clues. (The original party started in another bar, fought some reefclaws, went off to the boneyard and then went after Zipheras after getting a few more members) .Which is also fun.
So, the present (2nd level) party is:
Mordzuk: Dwarf Paladin of Torag
Gordok: Elven Alchemist
Yvot: Human Wizard
Amadeo: Unborn Tiefling Sorceror
Arthanen: Halfelf Rogue
Tialla: Halfelf Bard (NPC)
Pickletooth: Goblin Commoner (NPC)
So, right now, at second level,

I am running this starting next week. Bimonthly group. We just finished Kingmaker, set in Greyhawk's Bandit Kingdoms. Took us 18 months. Second Darkness also in Bandit Kingdoms (Fellreev Forest, specifically) and converted to Pathfinder. Kingmaker featured some Drow and Elf NPCs, intrigue,
20-pt buy using Ultimate Campaign background generation. Also, I offered players a bonus +2 to any stat if they did two of these three things: play a different class, race, or gender from the last campaign. All players took up the challenge. These players tend to play the same thing every game--one guy is always a wizard, another always a rogue, etc. I allowed unique races, on account of First World weirdness leftover from last campaign.
The PCs:
1. dwarf wizard
2. kitsune rogue
3. half-orc alchemist
4. sylph cleric

![]() |

My group has recently finished Curse of the Crimson Throne and we have already started Second Darkness. We are moving into Children of the Void as of today.
We used a 20 point buy and I allowed for unusual races (RP 10) and for the use of the book Ultimate Psionics. I am also altering the story line from book 3-6. Additionally, I have installed the infamy/disrepute system with changes to make it a gangs of Riddleport meets Goodfellas idea instead of a Pirates of the Caribbean.
The PCs
1. Duergar Psychic Warrior
2. Half-orc Urban Barbarian/ Scarred Witch Doctor
3. Elven Magus
4. Half-elf Urban Ranger
5. Human Plains Druid
6. Human Rogue Cutpurse

Starting Second Darkness later tonight. I'll be up converting this to second edition rules.
Party is 5 players:
Ancient Elf Wizard (Dedication Rogue)
Ancient Elf Monk (Undecided)
Half Elf Bard
Paddler Shoony War Priest Cleric
Forge Dwarf Ranger
To smooth over some of the well known connection issues between the books, I worked with the group to determine a uniting theme. Each of them has been asked to investigate the Blot by the Lantern Bearers and chose backstories that put them in or around Kyonin immediately before the adventure. (Technically all the PCs know now is they need to meet up with an elf named Kwava in a town called Roderic's Cove. Kwava will give them the rest of their task. The Players, however, know about the Blot and all that.)

Asha'Val |

My particular group of monsters barely qualifies as heroes, but boy oh boy do they hate drow.
We're halfway through book 6, First Edition.
Zym, Samsaran Necromancer who is trying to find a way to stop reincarnating. Accompanied by Lavethon, his Magnum Opus, his "familiar" that he crafted by raising the boss of Book 1 as a skeleton and making her into an abomination.
Blight, Homebrew Wyrwood Druid. His "siblings" were kidnapped by drow, and he's going to get them back, no matter how many elves get in his way. Drow or otherwise. Accompanied by Nyx, his Giant Spider animal companion.
Malechai, Human Vampire-Bloodline Sorcerer. Employed by the Demon Lady of Vampires to make sure that whatever the drow are up to fails miserably. Malechai never shuts up, rocks his 8 wisdom like it's going to get him killed, and is absurdly proud of how attractive he is.
Sar'Von, Nagaji Paladin of Desna. Narcoleptic, but fear him when he is awake. He should be the emotional core of the group as a paladin, but the others run circles around him. On a divine quest to save the world from a horror beyond the stars.
And then there's Zyga... Scarred Monk Half Drow. Virtually unkillable, and many have tried. She's a horror movie villain, but as a protagonist. An absolute juggernaut, and a living threat to anything that would get in her way. The leader of our band of miscreants.

I forced my group to play either elf or half-elf for this campaign. They are currently halfway in A Memory of Darkness. My group:
Steven Strange: The elf Illusionist who took many magic item craft feat and has been indispensable for gearing the group.
Eloyas: The opportunistic half-elf chaotic neutral rogue. No trap or lock can resist him. He just love flanking the biggest monsters on the battlefield and shove his rapier up his rear-end.
Dexalim: The elven Shaper who always wanted to be a druid but was too strong and not wise enough. He tear apart the enemies in his tiger form.
Uridan: The half-elf Cernunnos inspired Cleric. His healing expertise has saved the group from death many time.
