BACKGROUND:

: Akari was shunned from the Skoan-Quah due to his lame foot. He spent his initial years growing up with them, but was always looked down on because of his handicap. When he received a vision on the eve of when his tribe traditionally celbrated the children's passage to manhood, of the city of Korvosa with skeletons walking in the streets, he took it as an omen and left the Cinderlands to travel to the city.

Akari has been in the city for a couple years and has had a difficult life. His people are shunned in this city as well, so he took to Old Korvosa, where he could live as a child of the streets. His gift of prophecy did pay off, so he saved his coins from panhandling to buy a harrow deck. He proved to be a natural with the deck.

As a child of the streets, he is used to sleeping where he can and scavenging what food he can find. His prayers to the powers of life have kept him from getting sick on the rotten food he tends to find.

Lately his personal prophecies have revealed trouble to come in the future, turmoil, travel, death and more dire issues. He has not been able to make anything of it, but knows the time to act is soon.
