Excellent. Now that we're establishing cliques here I can comfortably fall through the cracks between divisions and exist on the fringe as an outsider like I have most of my life. Normalcy has been reestablished.

Yep -- Grognard.

(grabs his listnin' horn)

What did ya say, sonny? Why I remember my first PC, I played a caveman warrior... no wait... I was a caveman warrior... I believe I played a were-smilodon shaman named Chaka.

I hereby dub thee part of the Outsider clique! Normalcy is an illusion (especially around here).

although i dont know what the official Grognard definition is, i am sure that i am one. AD&D-1979. no dice! i wrote the numbers on a piece of paper, closed our eyes, waived finger, dropped onto paper, the nearest number was the result.

but i guess that i fall into the Grognard hater of vocal 4e haters lurker follower of the dark god Logue simulationist amature military historian but dont take my game to seriously gygaxian rules breaker fantasy sci-fi ex-NCO retiree combat vet wants to live in british comlumbia, but moving to nebraska instead group.

by the way....is there anybody who is in nebraska who is in the same group? im looking for a game.

Great to see I'm not the only one! (And don't worry, the sub-faction throws everyone... I'm a clique unto myself. 8D)

Do they have any Undead Grognards yet?

If not, you can be the first. The rest of us can follow you in the course of time.

Before I declare my allegiance, I want to know, is this thread "official?"

Damn it! I should have been a gnome so I'd have a better save vs. illusion magic...

I claim membership in European (subdivision Germany) clique, ex-pats and WoD clique. At least.

Hey all, when Lilith said she's too young to be a grognard, I got to thinking that desperate times call for desperate measures. Since Pathfinder RPG, under the creative leadership of Erik Mona (our coronated King of the Grognards), is a continuation of the game we've loved for 30+ years, I am sure the grognard group will be dispensing honorary grognard titles to anyone who continues with our traditions rather than sell-out with 4e.

The decision to support and stay 3.5/PRPG/OGL is a critically important one. Showing community support now, means continued support from the hundreds of companies that have produced the game material, software, and accessories we love. Because these are desperate times, as we asert ourselves as a viable continuation of dungeons and dragons history, I (as your PAX) am willing to dispense such dispensation to allow Lilith to call herself a grognard (for these special reasons). I'm sure any long-time player of the game will appreciate those who continue it, in the name of Pathfinder. Because at this point, the grognard line has been cut by wotc, but our history and traditions continue here, in the PAIZO royal house.

Liberty's Edge

allegiances always have such vague boundaries anyway...

I hereby announce the Member of a Clique Clique

The only requirement is you belong to some clique...

:D

My mother met Wesley Eure (Will Marshall from Land of the Lost)at a party in California back in the 70's. Did you know he was hired to replace David Cassidy on The Patridge Family, but the show ended before he could? I can't imagine Keith being played so wide-eyed and manic. Eure went on to make some serious moves in television production.

I wonder how Holly's doing? Wait, I just checked. She's going to have a small part in a Land of the Lost movie with Wil Ferrel. Neat.

Ah, but I have the Orb of Golden Grognards! With all four Elemental Grognard Gems.

Ah, another one for the Moody Loner clique! Come join our team for your complimentary twin scimitars and / or adamantium claws. :)

We also have cigars, trenchcoats and, don't tell anyone, poetry slams.

Grand Lodge

I might be a grognard, but more importantly, as the founder of SARPAP (the Society for the Advancement of Richard Pett Adventure Paths), I am a Pettist.

All hail the Pett!

I stand alone. I need no alliegance save to myself.

I'm a member of the extremely lost periphery floating types who would like to post more and recognize peoples names here but just don't seem to have the time to game as much (or go online as much) these days. All in all I think Paizo is a really cool place with a great core of people and have never felt more at ease online. :)

Oh and... *raises glass* Cheers!

D, you're probably missing the designator because you're using an alias and not your original account. If you ask, Paizo can probably make this your primary account.

I'm okay with that. Those guys don't italicize.

hehe; I would be with the Rednecks in the untitled thread... hehe; sorta a trailer park; hippie commune; vollyball area with a stream and a load of uncertain visitors stopping by for heap of drinking and good BBQ.

Canadian all the way.

Accountant too. (there isn't an accountant clique yet, but hey gotta start somewhere)

Star Trek fan as well.

Everyone around is a geek or nerd to some extent so that would not really qualify as a 'clique'
