Nice one, Darius!
To all: I may be unable to post until Thursday; I'll be in the desert in West Texas until then, and am uncertain about internet access.
Paladin: Hellard is hiding out to see if there's a plot going on among his new team-mates, with Thomas at the helm. Obviously there's not, so he'll no doubt end up joining them shortly (possibly with a better excuse than a stableboy, if he notices that Darius spotted him), unless they act really suspiciously. In any case, he will refuse to spend the night in the watch tower unless they group sleeps in shifts, with at least two of them awake at all times.

Right, that's it. I'm off for two weeks, with little chance of internet access.
Please NPC me, and don't let me do anything bone-headed!
Bob
So, votes for Brother Thomas charging at the zombie tyrannosaurus bare-handed, shrieking "I am the Lizard Queen!"?
Aye.
Whey-hey!
That took all of 90 minutes. I salute your restraint.

At this point, it seems like we've lost Durendal (Breyr), Grimcleaver (Hague) and possibly Fatespinner (Lily/Pariah).
So far, the people still posting are Kirth Gersen (Hellard), Rusty Ironpants (Darius), Azoun the Sage (Riven) and Snorter (Brother Thomas).
Does anyone disagree with this?
That said, I have another player who has expressed interest and has been waiting 'in reserve' since the beginning... would anyone mind another character joining (their character concept is a currently serving Guard, so he might be seconded to your unit as a 'professional advisor' or something).
If anyone has any problems with someone else joining, please let me know...

No problem.
If possible, I'd like to tie their disappearance into the story line somehow, instead of having them simply wink out of existence, unremarked. Like, maybe they failed to show up to the evening rendezvous, and the new guy is bringing news that their bodies have been found somewhere...

Blue_eyed_paladin |

Uh, did I not tell you about the odd 'disappearances' that happened last time this Watch Post was garrisoned?
No bodies were ever found.
Just blood.
About 6 litres per missing person... sprayed all over the walls, floor, ceiling...
OK, I'll let my reserve know. You might meet him 'in the morning'. If you make it that far. :)

By the way, the map for the Watch Post if right here on the wiki.

Woah, that's bigger than I imagined it. I expected a totally pokey hole.
I see that damn satyr has been skipping through again.
What's his name? Kirk? Kirshen?
Where's my crossbow?
Dance for me boy! Dance!

Good luck to all attending GenCon UK; I would so love to be there, and share a beer with all the cool folk from these boards. If you see the staff, say hello from me. Unfortunately, real life commitments take priority.
I should have tied the knot by 11:30 am on Saturday, if all goes to plan!
My first prestige class! Or is it my second? Does 'Dad' count as a base class or not?

Unbelievable. His wedding night and no celebratory message on Paizo.
For shame Snorter!
Actually, the day was splendid, the company great, the food fantastic, the location excellent and the joy that everyone was expressing really uplifting.
Well done mate - I guess you'll read this tomorrow morning. Or maybe not :-)
Matt

On the contrary; it's one minute to midnight, and I slip one in! <snort>
Thanks for coming, and the gift. It was good to see Cathy and the kids, and for them to have a good play with the others. I'm glad everything went smoothly, especially considering the premises were flooded on Monday. You couldn't tell, due to the hard work from the staff.
I think all my friends did me proud, and made a good impression on my in-laws, which is great.

Of the people I contacted (Lily, Breyr, and Hague), Lily has contacted me and let me know that (his player) is too busy to continue at the moment.
As such, the 'phantom' members of Hell Squad will be disappearing. I know that we've been busy (Snorter's gotten married, congratulations on that front; Rusty has been busy at work; I've just been lazy), but we will be plowing on. I have a big post coming, I'm just letting people settle in to the Watch Post for now... mysterious plots are afoot.

Cats your spells however is appropriate, I'm not too fussed about "what you have prepared". Personally, I'm a fan of the notion that (nonspecific deity) is going to look after you if you really need a lightning bolt from the sky or a purging of disease. Especially since you've spent the last umpteen years learning magic prayers, it seems appropriate.

*cough-cough* The sewers... so deadly... Choking... *wha-hah-hah* Kidding! When I said "deadly sewers," the deadly was in massive sarcasm quotes. I could take a bath in this stuff, put it on cereal, rub it right into my eyes, honestly, it's not deadly at all. To me. You, on the other hand, are going to find its deadliness a-lot-less-funny...

Grimcleaver |

If you couldn't tell otyughs are like one of my favorite monsters ever. There's something absolutely profane about them. They're scary the way sharks and alligators are scary, they have these awesome snakey tentacles that are full of teeth (anyone see the garage door tentacles from The Mist) and they have this sort of boneless looking rubbery body. To make it worse they live in cesspools and sewers so you combine the scary with the awful gross-out "Fear Factor" thing of having to go somewhere really revolting--every sense just recoiling.
They're like a perfect storm.
