Quick question about credit.

Alpha Playtest Feedback General Discussion

Will poster created content and/or beta-testing material be credited in the final release of the Pathfinder RPG? I'm not looking for anything major, just a small section at the end of the book. Is this asking too much?

YOU....are a goblin.

You can't even read!

What "poster created content" are you referring to?

For me? Specifically the bleed spell. I'm sure other posters/beta-testers wouldn't mind seeing their names and/or handles in a printed work, even if it's a group "Thank you".

With over 17,000 alpha downloads to date, chances are we won't see this. People would need to sign a release and other legalities, and you'd inevitably have people mad that they got overlooked or weren't credited with something they felt they should have been. I think we all get credit when a great new system comes out. The recognition comes in the form of the joy we will experience from playing it for years to come.

That goblin looks familiar. Just can't put my clawed finger on it.

My guess is that there MAY be a general credit to all the people who suggested new things and tested the aphla rules on paizo.com, but no individual recognition.

For me, the very notion that Jason and others are keeping an eye on the forums and taking our opinions, questions, calculations, and playtesting into account, in order to make a product more to our collective taste...well, that's thanks enough.

Now if I get a second crack at RPG Superstar, then we can talk credit...

If credit is going to be handed out I want some credit! Jason stole all my best ideas.

All goblins are. Twice. At the very least.

I know I want to read my name in the hardcover, even if it's just a "thanks for playtesting goes to these people:..." :)

I guess that it could be done with those who posted here on the Alpha/Beta boards, or with a subset of those, who have fulfilled certain criteria or something.

Yeah, that's about where I'm at too. Nothing majorly huge, but just something to point to and say "Yup, that's me see? I helped.".

I wouldn't mind seeing a general "thanks to the community", but I doubt it's either feasible or realistic to give credit to specific individuals, especially since a huge bulk were conceptual.

and just to re-iterate...your a goblin...you can't even READ!
