yup, that's my count too. Just waiting for TarkXT or Telias, which ever he'd like to be known as.
I like to think of him as "Telly Beans"

Call him that and you are as likely as not to find his gnarled old crow sitting on every branch you pass under just waiting to test its aim.
DM Aron Marczylo |
Okey everyone we have a tie. Here are my results, correct me if I'm wrong.
Paxterra 8
Vertaria 8
Greenwood 5
Gbajcratz 3
Grenlandija 3
Telfunland 3
Greenaria 2
Caswall 2
Greenland 1
Grenaria 1
I'll have to work on a tie breaker, will see what you guys think if my counting is correct or not.
Carina Stigard |
How did I know that Tarkellais would make it end as a tie.
Don't know if this is a good tie breaker, but Vertaria was voted on by 3 people - Telias, James, and Zorestar versus Paxterra which was voted on by 4 people - Carina, Ganit, James and Zorestar
DM Aron Marczylo |
Or maybe I should be the tie breaking being the impartial DM?
DM Aron Marczylo |
Vertaria is a lot cooler than Paxterra. Paxterra sounds like something you name the 97th planet you colonised as a space faring galactic civilisation and you've run out of decent names... Whereas Vertaria kind of "fits" the era more, imho.
I quite liked Paxterra actually. Reminds me of the name of a place in the Ultima universe, whilst watching reviews on the ultima games.

Hey Zorestar, would it be acceptable to use WIS or Sense Motive in place of INT or Know (Sjjak) with your little game inside a game? Just on personal experience, I've beaten a lot of chess players who were using great tactics simply because they couldn't keep their eyes off of the key peices. Just a thought. Ganit is unlikely to relax with anything less than wiskey and regret, let alone board games.
Zorestar Lebeda |
Ganit, I am certainly open to the idea. Sometimes I think perception and sense motive are equally important attributes to winning a game of chess. I could get pretty detailed in finding a Sjakk score based on Int, Wis, Perception and more, but I've tried to keep it pretty simple. However, if Ganit wants to use his perception and/or sense motive skill instead, that would be fine with me. It's all in fun anyway.
DM Aron Marczylo |
I was expecting an exploding runes spell to be a big part of that tactic
ahh but some tactics don't need to be so blunt. The best ones are to attack just as someone is comfortable in their position and relaxed. Best technique I find is making that person think everything is fine.

Err, Carina dear would you please let me know how much the Headband cost? I combed the OOC thread and couldn't find it.
Also how can we judge IC spell knowledge? I mean I'd really like to ask for Telias to cast that Masterwork Transformation spell on my bastard sword, but I don't think Brownyn has ever heard of the spell (he's still a bit newbie when it comes to spells).
edit: Nevermind I found the price of the headband. Was looking in the wrong thread, silly me.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
Cool cool. I'm working on a monk for another homebrew recruitment so depending on how things work there I may toss my hat into yours as well. I dropped most of my games then the other that I kept has gone mostly silent and the games I dropped crumbled so... yeah...
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
Aron - Would you say that I could fit my battleaxe inside the bow/spear/staff compartment of my Efficient Quiver? I'm just looking through my equipment and trying to figure out how much I can cram inside that thing so any other item suggestions you or anyone else has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
*EDIT*
In the same vein of questioning: Would you allow me to link my silk rope to my grappling arrow and put the pair in either the javelin or bow/spear/staff compartment?
*Yeah, so what? ANOTHER EDIT*
How about that Shovel?
DM Aron Marczylo |
don't believe so, it says anything of a similar shape and size of a bow so staffs and spears I could accept, but battleaxe might be a bit much. Mostly because I'm considering that it says "Size and shape" and I don't think a battleaxe could be considered the same shape or size.
I think the blade or blades of the axe would make it far too big.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
Yeah we've definitely lost our focus but I'd say the sooner we get out and map those last couple hexes the sooner we'll find ourselves on book 2. Getting the group back together on a unified project should be top priority.
Jameson Addercop IV |
Yeah there's a big wall of text in there. Ganit and I are coming to look for you hoping you find us since we can't track birds...
As a summary:
Bron and Carina are still getting it on.
Zorestar is getting ready to get it on.
Ganit is getting it on.
Ganit's new found sister is trying to get it on with Jameson.
Telias Markan |
And here I thought Telias worshiped Erastil but I guess he's Catholic
Erastil is as catholic as it gets. Were he more of a priest than a druid he'd be quite vocal about carina needing to understand a woman's place.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
I look forward to the day when Telias tells Carina that woman should stay out of the woods because their "womanly time" will attract bears.
Carina Stigard |
Telling Carina what to do is not always a good idea. 9 Wisdom tends to lead to rather hasty decisions, like Spontaneous Immolation.
Telias Markan |
I look forward to the day when Telias tells Carina that woman should stay out of the woods because their "womanly time" will attract bears.
That's unlikely to happen. He's more likely to let the bears eat her and use it as a reminder about how womanly time drives bears into a murderous frenzy for miles around.
And that's why they belong in the kitchen.
Because of rampaging bears.

Ah yes, taking things to their illogical conclusion.
Carina is white. Polar bears are white. Therefore, Carina is a polar bear. ROARRRR!!!!

As Jhod will make abundently clear when you start up the nation, you will all needs to leave children for leniages and pass on your knowledge to them so that they can one day take your place.

I think it's a good time to ask about the Leadership feat. How do you find it, Aron? Many DMs are against it for one reason or another.
If you allow it, I intend to take it on level 7, the earliest it's available. I picked a trait related to it, and if you'd not allow the feat I'd like to trade it for something else.
DM Aron Marczylo |
Will have to say no to the leadership feat as there are already six of you and a DM NPC would also be with you everywhere.
The trait is still good and it can be applied to the city if you ever get to the point of commanding an army and marching it against whatever enemy tries to take your land or harm your people.
It's a campaign trait anyway, isn't it from Second Darkness?
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
If I may: Super Genius Games - Two Options for the
Leadership Feat
Option 1: Allies and Associates would be a pretty valuable benefit for Bron and the rest of us provided it doesn't step on any Kingdom stuff I'm not familiar with. Just a little something to consider.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |
I'm back. I know it wasn't needed but if anyone ever has to NPC me it should be pretty simple. *Grumble* => *Grumble* => *Sense Motive* => *Ready Attack*
