Wow! I only knew Mr. McArtor through the few times I interacted with him here on the Paizo Boards. He was always very helpful and I got a "welcoming" feeling from him. He was a great ambassador for not only Dragon Magazine, or Paizo, but for gaming in general. My Condolences go out to his friends and family
I really like this product. Great Archetypes, Feats and even a few magic items to flesh out your Antipaladins. I have a question regarding the Falconer of Pazuzu Archetype. At 1st level the Falconer receives: Quote:
At 5th level the Falconer receives: Quote: Bond of Demons (Su): At 5th level, the falconer of Pazuzu’s companion gains full hit points and is treated as through the falconer possessed the Hunter’s Bond class feature. The falconer of Pazuzu may select the Boon Companion feat, as normal, to enhance this bond. When a falconer of Pazuzu uses her smite good class feature, her avian companion gains a bonus on attack and to damage rolls equal to one-half the falconer of Pazuzu’s class level against that target. The companion additionally gains the ability to deliver touch spells — including spell-like abilities from Sorcerous Damnation, if any, as well as touch of corruption and cruelty — as if the companion were a familiar. This ability replaces fiendish boon. My question is why does the Falconer go from having the Druid's Animal Companion Class Feature (Nature Bond) to the (Ranger's) Hunter's Bond Class feature? It is true the Falcon Companion now has full hit points and the ability to deliver touch spells. However, unless I am missing something, the falcon companion is losing 2HD, +1BAB, +1 to Fort and Ref saves, 2skills,1Feat, +2 Natural Armor Bonus, +1 to Str and Dex, 1 trick, and the Evasion and Ability Score increases by going from a "5th level" companion to a "2nd level" companion. Now the text mentions the Boon Companion feat could be used to essentially restore the companion to his former glory, but the Antipaladin would have to wait at leaset one level to 6th to take the feat. IMO it seems like quite a bit of bookkeeping and a steep cost to pay. Thanks in Advance! Regards,
I just received Order #886940 in the mail today; however when I opened it I received the wrong item among its contents. I had ordered the autographed edition of "Elder Evils;" however, I received the book "Exemplars of Evils." I'm wondering what the process is for returning "Exemplars of Evil" which I did not order and receiving "Elder Evils" which I did order. Please Advise! John Tanzini

Hey James, I'm just curious but wouldn't Turaglas the Ebon Maw work better for Gluttony? You are the true Sage of Demons, but I'm a total fan boy for the Ebon Maw, and just want to see him get some love! =D

Thanks for responding Mike! Do you have a Pepperide Farms preference? =D

Ok Mr. McArtor, I have a follow-up to Filch's question about multiclassing Druid and/or Ranger after performing the ritual but before it comes into effect for your plant companion. Suppose said Druid or Ranger takes the Natural Bond Feat from Complete Adventurer where you essentially add 3 to your effective druid level for the purpose of determining....special abilities, and other bonuses that your animal companion recieves. This bonus can never make your effective druid level exceed your character level. Now I'm going to argue that the text of the article clearly states, "Instead of a more powerful plant companion, though, you gain the ability to evolve the one you have endowing it with new abilities. It seems to me if you take the Natural Bond feat and multiclass out of druid or ranger, and you had a plant companion that was waiting for a "new ability"; then as long as the 3 levels the feat grants you was enough time [i.e. levels] for the ability to mature your plant companion would gain said "ability." Ok, I'd love to hear you're comments on this one, and if your persuaded by my argument there just might be a cookie waiting for you at GenCon 2008!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I just recently picked up Hamunaptra in the Green Ronin sale, so I think this feat might be the winner!
I'm looking for a feat that adds either (or both) Sense Motive or Diplomacy as class for the character. I'm pretty sure the Noble Born Feat adds Diplomacy as a class skill. I also know there is the Skill Knowledge feat from Unearthed Arcana, but like Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, I want more!
I have a player who believes while Lightning Bolt begins at your fingertips, because the Range of the spell is listed at 120 feet you have a 120 foot line from your fingertips before the spell goes off and delivers the 120 foot long bolt. I explained to the player the spell clearly states the bolt begins at your fingertips and the Range and Area of the the spell are listed the same at 120 feet because essentially you are blasting a 120 foot line from yourself with electrical damage. Since I was the DM my ruling at the table stood, however I told the player I would see if anyone out there was using lightning bolt the way he viewed it, or if most people were adjudicating the spell the way I viewed it. Everyone's comments are welcome because the more opinions the more well rounded the argument will be one way or the other.
I just wanted to make sure I had the changes to the Gravewight template from 3.0 to 3.5 correct based on your sample monster "The King Beneath the Hill." It looks like the only changes were the Damage Reduction is updated from 5/+1 to 2/bludgeoning, and the duration of the Frightful Presence changes from 5d6 rounds to 4d6 rounds. Is there anything else I missed? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

It says an attacker that strikes a favored spawn with an unarmed strike, natural weapon, or light weapon must make a Reflex save or a Kyuss worm is transfered to the attackers body, however no DC for the save is given for the ability. Any clarification on the matter would be greatly appreciated! I found it...same page...the paragraph above...ugh! =)

I'm looking for a few Vermin oriented Prestige Classes. I know there is the Master of Flies in Savage Species, the Vermin Keeper in Underdark, and the Vermin Lord in the Book of Vile Darkness. I'm woncering if there are any others out there? I'm avoiding spider PrC's and those associated Lolth. I'm looking for something to use with Obox Ob.

Thanks Cosmo! It's all good two Challenge of Champions dungeons, an article on Evard, a new prestige class, and an "Underdark Prison Riot" will be keeping me busy until it arrives! =D
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my issue of Kobold Quarterly. IMO it was jam packed with goodness! Ecology of the Derro, Titivillus: Prince of Hell, The Far Darrig, and the Interview withEric Mona were all excellent. I'm already looking forward to the Fall issue, and Open Design's Empire of the Ghoul!
I have a question regarding the Extra Arms of the Diopsid. The text says the Diopsids extra limbs allow it to use weapons one size larger without penalty but the Diopsid must have it's secondary arms free to do to gain this benefit. My question is if a Diopsid is wielding a large two handed weapon such as a great sword; how many arms is he using to wield it without penalty? My impression is the Diopsid would have to use all four of his arms to wield the weapon without penalty, but I just want to make sure that impression is right. Thanks in Advance!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here is my interpretation of Wayne Reynolds Goblins. Blazim Geya was a typical goblin who was fond of food and fire. Geya was part of a star crossed goblin raiding party who met their end at the hands of an elite group of human warriors. Geya survived the battle and was indoctrinated into the warrior culture of his captors. The men soon found Geya was a natural warrior who had some skill with a blazing skillet and a knack for crude or humorous songs. Geya began to serve his comrades as the unit's field chef; where he mastered the cleaver and nurtured his love for burning things. Eventually, Geya's unit returned to the Free City; and just in time to enjoy the festivities of the Champion's Games. Geya caught the performance of a legendary chef who was performing a culinary show from a stall outside the arena. Geya noticed how the chef was able to captivate the audience with his skill like the gladiators in the arena. Geya sought out the chef after his performance seeking an apprenticeship. The chef took the young goblin to task, asking him to whip up his best dish for the gather spectators. Geya gave the crowd his flaming frog fritters and a new Adamantine Chef was born. Blazim Geya Male Goblin Wilderness Rogue 1/ Janissary 5/ Adamantine Chef 2
AC 21, touch 15, flat-footed 18;

Abilities Str 12, Dex 16, Con 16, Int 14, Wis 14, Cha 12
Wilderness Rogue is a rogue variant from Unearthed Arcana.
Blazim is currently an NPC about to appear in my AoW campaign. I had alot of fun creating him I hope the Stat Block was done correctly!
