These two images are nothing to write home about, but I figured I'd share anyway. I took the pictures of the bunyip and tentamort from the Tome of Horror and added a splash of color. It's nothing special, but better than black and white. The two creatures appear in "Burnt Offerings."
Color picture of Bunyip
Color picture of Tentamort
By the way, if there are other pictures of these two creatures out there, please let me know, because I wasn't able to find any. Thanks!

These are absolutely fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Here is a random collection of images I found elsewhere....
Saber-Toothed Bunyip
Big Bunyip
Draconic bunyip
Apparently there are no tentamort pics out there. I mean how exciting is a lump of flesh with two tentacles?

re: the Jorgenfist map ... it's in PDF format. But, how can i capture this map as a high-res image? For some reason, the Select Tool in Adobe won't copy, so that I can paste into an image editor.
I can only zoom to about 8% in Adobe, and a screen shot pasted into an image editor results in an image that's too lo-res for a good battlegrid map.
Any suggestions?

Find a copy of Adobe Acrobat version 8. For some reason version 9 won't allow you to grab images from PDFs like that (lame).
You're never going to get the maps high-res enough to look really pretty at table scale, though. Either use them as a template for your own table-scale maps or get used to things being very fuzzy.

You can also get a pdf image extractor. I use this one and it pulls out the images at the size in which they are embedded in the pdf. Just as a warning, it doesn't work on some of the older pdfs. Some of them were already flattended to save space in the pdf file and it extracts them in an odd way, cut up into many small sections. It works great on pretty much everything after the first Adventure Path.
It's called "Some PDF Images Extract"

Nuts!! The extractor doesn't get the Jorgenfist image as a single file!!
What program would you use to recreate the Jorgenfist map on a grid? Campaign Cartographer or AutoRealm? It's too bad the guy who made the map didn't just upload a high-res image instead of a PDF.

Have you thought about just grabbing screenshots and cropping them?
Make the image fill your screen, hit ALT-Print Screen and paste (CTRL-v) into Paint or Word or something like that.

A great tool to do this is Gadwin PrintScreen. When you hit the Print Screen button you can set it up as a rectangular area that you can adjust in size. Makes grabbing screen shots very easy and quick.

I used the PDF-XChange Viewer to copy the 100% image, pasted it in MS Office Picture Manager (IrfanView didn't work. first for me ;) ). The bmp file is a whooping 395MB (9600x14400), i uploaded the jpeg (90%) on Mediafire.
PS: I hope the author doesn't mind, i take it down if he does.

I can't even open this JPG. My PC is displaying out of memory errors and/or says the file is not in a supported format. Would you be able to do this as a PNG perhaps? Aren't PNGs usually smaller than JPGs?
Also, I just downloaded the software, but don't see how you can copy an image at its original resolution. Do you mind posting the steps do this for this PDF application?
thanks for your help!

The reason I didn't make a High res image wis the size. Far larger than any page I would print (100 x 150 inches) but I will turn it into a jpg file that hopefully won't crash everybody's system. It will be a big on I am still waiting for it to rasterize the darn thing. <cue jeopardy background music> Here it is at around 1.5 Mb at 72 ppi at the lowest quality settings. Good luck with your plan. jorgenfist jpg

I was so wanting to run that Zurai - downloaded it way back and all, but my group at the time was too low level for the most part.
Don't know if anyone else could use them but with the final setting having it's special terrain I made cardstock cutout for it. It will take 4 pages to do these pieces. The 6 columns, stairs, and raised room are all here. Hopefully it's not too hard to figure out. I did the stairs in ten foot sections for large base sizes and didn't make the columns 100 feet tall (though you can if you want).
I'm afraid I can't figure out where this is supposed to be. It doesn't look to me like the Sins of the Saviors finale.

That is for the finale of chapter 4, Fortress of the Stone Giants. Mokmurian's lair.
I actually used them in one my campaigns! I put pennies inside them and it really helped them stand on end properly.
Now I use a VTT, but it was awesome when my game was FtF.

I noticed on the board it has been mislabeled as part of Sins of the Saviors and it is the room under Jorgenfist. Sorry you have been confused.

Finally, the garrison at Sandpoint.
I intend to map out the buildings next, possibly onto one map page. That should be an interesting exercise.

Hm. The technique is quite nice, but this just wasn't my vision for the garrison at all — I had pictured it as a single building, not a wall encircling the structures as you have here. Those few structures I had actually figured were on the roof. The round parts of your wall would be towers.
Russel Akred did sketchup illos of the exterior, and I had figured it would look more like that. Even so, it's very pretty.

I looked at the sketch-up before I started, and although I like it, I thought it just seemed too big.
This is a small garrison, a dozen soldiers and maybe twice that support staff according to the article on Sandpoint in PF1, so that's about 40 people tops. In a building that has an area of around 4 thousand sq feet....
In my case, the building is probably a bit small for those same 40 people, but I assume most of these cooks etc will live off site, and the cook-house is a separate building, which possibly makes up for it.

Oh, I think I have a solution for our hosting and aggregation: I have Google Sites on my domain (educatedgamer.net) and have about 10GB of storage directly on the site (not to mention we can link off-site). I can create free accounts for anyone who wants to directly contribute to the project on the site (creating pages, uploading files, etc) and can even send invites to gmail addresses if you would rather have that.
Tintagel,
I've created a version of the Shadow Clock in Dundjinni that I happy to share, it no Misgivings but ok (I think). So if you could invite my gmail account, iamgrays, I'd really appreciate it and I'll pop it up.

I would like to thank all the great contributers. I'm about to start up this AP, and there is some awesome stuff here!
Indeed! I started the AP a few months ago, and this community has put together some absolutely amazing stuff. Tintagel's maps are particularly incredible -- make sure you snatch those up! :-)

I'm wondering, now that the thread is many pages long, and I'm not sure where the latest "summary" post is, whether a forum like this is the best medium for these (especially since the original poster can't go back and edit their own original post to be a constantly-current listing). I'm thinking a Wiki format might be a better layout, if people are willing. I know the Pathfinder Wikia wiki is focused strictly on canon sources, though there are are other Wikia wikis that might be compatible. The goal of the d20 Adventure wiki seems in line with community-based worldbuilding (it's rather stagnant now, but I'm sure this community would give it the boost it needs). The wiki I help administrate over there (d20 NPCs) is more focused on stat blocks than maps, so that wouldn't be the best fit. But the benefit of joining in the Wikia family is that there's automatic interwiki links to all the other Wikia wikis, so community-made maps could link to the Pathfinder Wikia wiki information to give the canon information about it, and any conversions of the NPCs to another ruleset (PFRPG or others) could be put on the d20 NPCs wiki.
What do you think?

I like them all, though Big Game Hunter seems to have lost some of the Heroic feel of Hunter of Legends. We have 2 different characters (in 2 different campaigns) that are Hunters of Legends and they go after every Big creature in the area. (It has also led me to naming every local monster. The giant Crab in the bay is Clakerclaws. The Owlbear that haunts the forest trail is Scarbite. Vig the Underdoom is the Ankheg that has been stealing sheep, etc.)
But the rest are good. (I have been having difficulties with the older Varisian Tattoo. I like your version better.)

Those (Ankheg, and owlbear )are magical beasts covered by the trait I forgot to add Vermin, but it was just an oversight. I would consider them to be included.

The mechanic is good, it was the idea of Big Game Hunter (which makes it sound like a man with a big mustache and a pith helmet) vs Hunter of Legends (which sounds more heroic).
But that's a VERY minor quibble (I'm splitting hairs). The rules are awesome.

You may choose one (and only one) of the following feats as a bonus feat during character creation.
City Born
You grew up in Magnimar, Korvosa, or Riddleport, one of Varisia’s three city-states. You are educated and wellinformed on the news and needs of your home and hold tight to the knowledge that your city-state is unquestionably greater than the others.
Prerequisite: 1st-level character, cannot have Country Born, Lone Wolf, Totem Spirit or Sandpoint Citizen.
Benefit: Choose Magnimar, Korvosa, or Riddleport as your home city. The frantic bustle of the city has honed your reactions— you gain a +1 bonus on Reflex saves. If you’re from Magnimar, you gain a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks. If you’re from Korvosa, you gain a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks. And if you’re from Riddleport, you gain a +2 bonus
on Bluff checks.
Country Born
You come from one of Varisia’s rural regions, where you were raised in an environment of rustic tradition, honest work, and common sense.
Prerequisite: 1st-level character, cannot have City Born, Lone Wolf, Totem Spirit or Sandpoint Citizen.
Benefit: A childhood of farm work, apprenticeship, or similar toil has granted you reserves of endurance. Once per day, when an effect would normally leave you fatigued or exhausted, you may ignore the fatigue or exhaustion effect. This ability activates the first time you are affected by fatigue or exhaustion in a day—you cannot “save” it to apply
it to a specific effect. Your traditional upbringing has sharpened your willpower as well, granting a +1 bonus on Will saves.
Lone Wolf
Although you may have grown up in the city, you led a lonely childhood and were forced to fend for yourself.
Prerequisite: 1st-level character, cannot have City Born, Country Born, Totem Spirit or Sandpoint Citizen.
Benefit: Whenever you are dying, your chance of stabilizing is 50%. Your vigorous health also grants you a +1 bonus on Fortitude saves.
Totem Spirit
You are closely and mystically tied to your tribe’s sacred totem.
Prerequisite: Member of a Shoanti tribe. 1st-level character, cannot have City Born, Country Born, Lone Wolf or Sandpoint Citizen.
Benefit: The benefit granted by this feat depends on which Shoanti tribe you belong to:
Lyrune-Quah (Moon Clan): You gain a +1 bonus on Will saves and
a +2 bonus on Listen checks.
Shadde-Quah (Axe Clan): If you have the rage ability, it lasts for one additional round. You also gain a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks.
Shriikirri-Quah (Hawk Clan): You gain a +2 bonus on Initiative checks and a +2 bonus on Ride checks.
Shundar-Quah (Spire Clan): You gain a +1 bonus on Fortitude saves and a +2 bonus on Spot checks.
Sklar-Quah (Sun Clan): You gain a +1 bonus on Reflex saves and
a +2 bonus on Tumble checks.
Skoan-Quah (Skull Clan): You gain a +2 bonus on weapon damage against undead and a +2 bonus on Heal checks.
Tamiir-Quah (Wind Clan): Your base land speed increases by 5 feet. You also gain a +2 bonus on Jump checks.
Sandpoint Citizen
Living in Sandpoint has made you not only popular, but more hardy
Prerequisite: 1st-level, cannot have City Born, Country Born, Lone Wolf or Totem Spirit
Benefit: Living for several years in the coastal town of Sandpoint has made you well know and liked with the residents. You also have a brighter outlook on life and a good constitution. You gain a +1 on Fortitude saves, a +4 bonus on Diplomacy checks with Sandpoint residents, and a +1 bonus on Diplomacy checks with other humanoids.

Would anyone be interested in a MapTools campaign file of the town of Sandpoint?
I used the highest resolution map of Sandpoint I could find (clean without labels) and made it to scale. It doesn't look too bad! Then I went through and put vision blocking around all the buildings, city walls, and some trees.
I'm also thinking about adding in light sources (street lamps, etc) in case I want to have something go down at night.
Would anyone be interested?

Our group hasn't taken the full plunge into MapTools yet, but for a huge map of Sandpoint (for use in FotSG) I might start!
The raid on Sandpoint in FotSG is what made me decide to do it. We're still only in Burnt Offerings, but I figured, if I'm gonna do it, might as well do it now! That way I'll have it if I decide to do any other skirmishes in town (and, now that I have it, I certainly will set up other skirmishes in town!)

Will do, Lisa! I'll get the files all prettied up and send them off to you tonight.
By the way, has anyone ever mentioned that a high-resolution offering of all Pathfinder maps would be *AMAZING* for such purposes? Seriously, I would drop some major coin for all of the RotRL maps in hi-res (and preferably "clean" without text for room names and such). Plus, any and all future offerings in high-res (Kingmaker??) would be must-have material -- and I'm guessing I'm not alone! Please consider it! :-)
P.S. By hi-res I mean an electronic file to download. I understand that printing the maps to scale would not be a cost-effective option.

Oooo, I'll throw in my +1 towards that. I use D20Pro, and while most of the maps from the adventures turn out okay, having a little sharper res would be even better :D

Here's a link to download the Sandpoint map as a MapTool campaign file. It's to scale with vision blocking. It does not have light sources, but I may add them in the future.
Sandpoint Map for MapTools (.cmpgn file)
There's a token of Sheriff Belor Hemlock just west of the Sandpoint Cathedral you can use to "explore" the town and see how the vision blocking works. :-)
Please let me know if there are any problems accessing the file or downloading it. Thanks.

Another great trick you might consider:
Get a very small, transparent .png and make a token out of it. Put the token on the Object layer and resize it to match any building on the map. Open the token and put the description from Pathfinder #1 into the "Notes" or "GM Notes" tab (it can help to convert the PDF to plaintext first). When you return to the token layer, the notes will now be a tooltip on each building that you have done this for.
I do this for almost all of my maps in Runelords, and for all the "Box Text" in any adventure, my players love it. They get to read the box text aloud, instead of listening to me do it. Some of the Hook Mountain box texts were especially traumatic in this way. :)
