We're working on it.

Question, was the 20K/each for everyone? I understand why Sophie might not think she was getting a share, but I was under the impression that we were going to divvy it all up among the current group.
After all, we're getting ready to go kick in the door of a BBG, Justin dont want his partners being under-equipped!!
;)
Just curious,
:D

HAh!
Now Im having flashbacks to the 'Evil Dead' movies and musical. And combining them with possible ways to work them into future Justin scenes. ;P
----
Justin holds aloft his wizard's staff, still smoking from the magical blast that had blown away the warrior's sword.
"Now Listen up you primitive, magicless, morons. THIS,... is my BOOMSTICK! It's a 6' metal-shod staff. Wiz-Mart special. Retails for around $35,000 gold pieces. Features include an Oak core, Cobalt blue Adamantium end caps, Dwarven workmanship, Elvish engraving, and a trigger-happy owner! NOW! The next one of you primitive apes so much as TOUCHES me,...'
Justin whirls around, leveling his staff at the crowd behind him, who magically and rapidly part from the direction the smoking staff is pointed. To reveal a demonic,... undead,... SOMETHING or other crawling up from the heavily gated well Justin had so recently escaped from.
"FORZARE!" Justin shouts again. And another blossom of flame bursts from the end of the staff, catching the nightmarish creature in the center of it's chest. The resulting explosion blew the nightmare off of it's feet and back into the depths it had just crawled out of.
Justin turned slowly in a circle, still holding the smoking staff outward. His Evil Eye gaze spared no one in the mob. Commoners and warriors alike backed slowly away from him. He slowly tilted the staff upwards, and blew the last remaining wisp of smoke away.
"So. Shop smart. Shop Wiz-Mart,.... YOU GOT THAT?!?!?"
------
Yeah,... I clearly have too much time on my hands. Just not enough to get done what I want/need to do,.... ;P
Ragadolf
Le Sigh,...
I hate shopping. (Both Real world AND fantasy equipment) ;P
Not because I cant find anything I like, the problem is I can easily find FAR more than I can ever afford. Or actually need. :/
Going window shopping now,... Staffs are out.
Hm,... Magical clothing. Need to enchant the classic, stylish coat and new cape.
(ANyone actually know what I could 'make' out of a Masterwork leather coat? I'm thinking Wizzie armor. Something that would work with bracers of armor. But they cant both use 'armor' bonuses as they wont stack. Although I could just armor-ize the coat, and get something else for the wrists,...)
Hmm,,,, :)
Hah,... idea-ing,.... :)

Hamar will accept the Gold you cannot seem to find a way to spend Wizard...

lol... OK after consulting the costs of her items, it seems she may have more than a little left over.
She only owed 2,900, so even if the bad guys double that for interest, that still only makes it about 6K she owes.
I wasn't expecting to have 14,000gp to play around with!!!
Just let me know what you think is fair for repayment of the debt Pat and I'll work with the remainder for what Items I want (which will come from my list of items to eventually obtain)

hehe, well that would be funny but Karrin isn't going to split the party. Hamar might be a killing machine but there's no telling who else might be out there and so Karrin is going to think of some contrived reason not to go into the shop till we deal with our stalker. If this is one of the creeps Nari warned us of we might want to take them alive so we can question them.
Ragadolf
Sighh, my memory.
Im going over things for Justin's shopping trip, planning scrolls to book & vica-versa, etc.
My PC has crashed TWICE since that Mummy fight on Ranais. My home desk has so many papers stacked up on it that the bottom of the pile might have been pressured into diamonds by now,... So needless to say my notes are lost, only a almost updated character sheet here on the boards.
;P
Can anyone recall WHEN (and where, main thread or chat thread) we talked about those gold-coin scrolls? The ones with teh fire/lighting spell on one?
I dont want anyone to look them up for me, My lazy arse doesnt deserve that. :)
But if you can recall WHEN it would help me find it. Ive been looking for hours now. (AND enjoying the read!) :)
Mummy fight was June/July of 2016, if that helps? I might have blinked and missed it too,... I'm scanning lots of pages,... >_<
If so, Thanks! If not, no worries I;ll find it! :)

Ooo! Reminders!
Everyone needs to consider a Handy Haversack! Right now Nari is teh only one with one! :)
Brought to you by 're-reading very old posts'!
:D
It’s already on my list of things to acquire (I have a list in my GM Notes section for things that I’d like to get for Sophie at some point), and as it so happens also made it onto the list of things Sophie will be acquiring. :)

Found a coupel of things while perusing the goodies,
For those in the party who like Firearms, might I recommend the Beneficial Bandolier? A real bargain at only 1,000GP!
:)
Hey Pat, what would be the charge for transferring the enchantment from the Ring of Shielding into a bracelet(s)?
You know, Just because it fits the inspiration? :D
Trying to look up laboratory/ alchemist equipment now, I know I've seen it before, but when your TRYING to find it,... :P
Good nighters all, :)
Ragadolf
Hello all!
For those interested, (Besides Memnon!)
So found that a 'basic/standard' alchemist lab is 200GP. And provides a +2 bonus to crafting checks made while using it.
So I'm guessing that the usual rule of 'Masterwork cost' applies, making a 'masterwork Alchemy lab' 500GP. Guessing this would add the usual 'Masterwork +1' bonus, making a masterwork lab a +3 bonus total?
Yeah, I REALLY need to stop digging through Magic item books. Finding WAY too much stuff. :P
On the other hand, I found the gold-coin-disc-scrolls, (and copied the list so I dont have to find them again!) And Justin can NOT WAIT til 11th lvl. Cuz then he can cast that sweet, sweet 6th lvl fiery/lightning spell!
:)
I figure he can give the Cleric only discs to our new pal? :)
Yeah,... going to bed now, wife's bday tomorrow.
Nighters!

Oh my,
Now I'm seeing a 'competition' between Hamar and Sophie,
Fun for them, maybe less for anyone who gets in their way,...
;P
Hamar can definitely rack up more kills in a straight up fight. Sophie generally prefers a more subtle approach, although she's not above mixing it up if the situation calls for it.

Never bring a Scimitar to a Gunfight! Hamar prefers to fight with Gunslingers versus against them :-)

Heh. I could definitely see Sophie pulling an Indy on some sword wielding mook.
hahaha Oh definitely. I mean hey, she did just shoot this guy point blank in his face... ;)
ROFL!
VERY true Shadow!
I have read blogs about how nuts high-lvl gunslingers can get using the right feats/items.
NUTS I tell ya! :P
Yeah true, but I'm more about creating a character than an optimised set of stats. I'll optimise to a point, I don't want my characters to be useless, but I do tend to like experimenting with weird character options (race/class/feat/spell/etc)

Oh fer sure. Thats the most fun!
However, IF I do happen to find a weird collection of options that happens to work well together,...and fits the concept, WIN WIN! :)
I have found that when we 'won' most of the scenarios in the old days, It was due to our (my old gaming group, very similar to THIS one, actually) amazing ability to coordinate and pull off the most outrageous team/PC combo moves ever conceived. And not because of any individual's min/max'd ability scores, or overpowered special ability, etc.

That scene in Indiana Jones was so great, and the best part about it was it absolutely wasn't planned out, the guy the brought in had spent months practicing for that bit and Indiana was meant to have a big fight with him with his whip, however on the day of the shoot Harrison Ford had dysentery and could only film for 10 minutes at a time. He could barely stand upright, never mind preform the physical bits they'd need to film between the the stunt work, and worse still it would take 3 days of filming. So Harrison asked Steven "Why don't we just shoot the son a b%+!#" and that's how one of the greatest film scenes came to be.

Hah, the way I heard the story, he didn't even ask. WHen they yelled action the guy did his sword spin, and Ford just pulled out the gun and shot the blank, and the sword guy just went with it. (Which would make him an awesome improv actor!)
Your version is more likely, I'll admit. :)

Quick idea/question for everyone, including Pat.
With Monkey's permission, I think I can (rules legally) justify enchanting a few things for the group. (Before we actually leave on our little trip) Especially things that Justin can do 'in bulk'/all at once, like Handy Haversacks and Cloaks of Protection.
If it's OK, and everyone agrees, your cost for those items, and anything else Pat allows, would be half cost. (Creation cost is 1/2 purchase cost)
I took the Wondrous Item creation feat for two reasons,
1= it fit the character inspiration perfectly,
2= Making/playing with magic stuff is fun! :P
Ideas? Wishes? Thoughts?
beneficial bandolier any gun carrier? :P
Ragadolf
Well, RP time-line-wise we havent actually had time to go (finish) shopping yet, (Thats what were doing that got us into this fight!) ;P
Up to Pat of course! :)
Everything mentioned above so far falls under 'Wondrous Items', which means Justin can make them! (Provided he can find a partner or scrolls for some of the spells, etc) We just have to be 'realistic' (in a fantasy game, lol!) about the amount of time each item takes to make.
Like I said, I think there's precedent for making multiples-of-same-items-at-the-same-time, but individual or specialty items would still be one at a time. SO basically one a day.
