Um,... is THAT whats going on? :P
Seriously, I thought we were (now) after some giant mystical weapon, (sounds suspiciously like a magical mecha suit or something, or maybe that was just ME reading too much into it?) that is powered by the stealing-beauty rod Justin now keeps hidden deep in his coat pocket. Said weapon can supposedly bring back said erased power. Or make it possible to bring it back?
Could be the Rod of Orcus, powered by the CHA-stealing rod? That would make sense too.
;P
LOL, I love this game! :D

Yep. I have it as a plot point in my current campaign except my PCs are going to be locating it to free our unnamed villains' essence :-). Hey Pat, is this homebrew or module based? I am home brewing as a prior group (of which sadly only one PC remains) killed said unnameable in the first place:-)
This particular PbP is kind of between home brew and module. The module provides the skeleton, and I’ve fleshed it out a lot. A lot of the encounters are mine, as are much of Ranaïs, Hanalindali, the whole Yggdrasil/Lauralia theme, etc.
So more like a movie ‘based on a true story ‘

Cool,

The ‘Thief of Beauty’ is literally a throwaway item that the module just uses as an intro item to send you along. I , personally, find it fascinating and have made it into a much more important item in the story arc
Justin appreciates this! ;)
Although, he may come to regret it,... ;P

Do the Cloaks have any magical properties Pat (that we know of, or maybe we have to find out along the way), or are they just nice cloaks with secret pocketses?
Nothing magical, although the cloak makers of Sigil are rumored to weave a minor cantrip into the fabric that aids in shedding water. True Cager cloaks are highly sought after by the populace because of the almost-constant dampness of that city.

Hamar will go with Alluvius party. Will post later or Sunday at work and a bit burnt right now.

So, JUST to make sure the old wizzie has his head on straight,
Group A is going to check out and arrange for the portal use?
Group B is going to, Check in with Ollie, (as I recall, we had left him with SEVERAL questions at one point in the past?) and handle resupply (for te group, Presumably, we can say that everyone gave group B their shopping list?)
:)
| Hamar of the Hyena Tribe |
Sophie'll go with Group A.
Justin/Pat. Did we ever get a list of magic items that needed identifying?
Hamar's ring for one. :-)

I love that you still refer to it as "Hamar's Ring". :P
| Hamar of the Hyena Tribe |
Hamar has yet to relinquish his rights to the ring, if it is cursed, he can slip it on the finger of a foe, if not perhaps he will wear it. Hamar cannot see in the dark but if Hamar could see in the dark he would be that much more dangerous!
Hamar often refers to himself in the third person...

However this was a great help Olli, things are making a lot more sense now, and some of the things we've discovered are falling into place."
OHMYGOODNESS, that was SO many pages ago! ;P (Pg 240, we are on pg 296)
I HAVE to hurry up and get busy on my journal entries. Cuz I have to re-catch up on all that we've seen and done! O_o

This sounds like a familiar conversation.
Seriously, Deja Vu anyone else?
;)
I'm OK with anyone declaring they were carrying it, but as Karrin already declined to carry it, Ekuur feels strongly about such things, (and is currently on hiatus), my first guess would be Justin. Although there seems to be some concerns about Justin's fascination with magical doo-dads. ;P
(And to be fair, I suspect OOC (and he's beginning to figure out) that he already has ONE key to fantastic power in his pocket. Giving him a spark of power-ly essence to play with may be too much even for him to resist playing with!) ;)
Although,... I can see it being entrusted to Nari before Issac left. That would be a nice play of character interaction too. Just a thought.
:)
(No offense to Merle or any other PC, But Nari has literally already resisted a voice of temptation in her head all her life. I can see Issac entrusting it to her and not telling anyone else when he did it.)
:)

Oh, and just throwing this out there:
Should you want to start any long-term projects (building a house/lab/Temple/whatever) or something of a similar ilk, you can start the project while in Sigil, and Renkar can oversee it for you once you take off. You collected some decent money this last run (though you skipped the big payday in Tcian Sumere)

Cool,
I'll have to download Discord now.
(And get my teenage boy to show me how to use it!) ;P
Cool deal! Once we catch up on what we have, building a lab or tower will be a fun 'side quest', Justin's been itching to build useful magical doodads for his use too, (and the group!) :)
He can do Items now, I plan on Working him up to staffs. :)

It made me scratch my head. You found the secret door in the lab and chickened out. I wanted to scream ‘YOU’RE ADVENTURERS!! WHY ARE YOU SCARED OF A DOOR??!!??
Not so much the door as the shit behind the door. :-)
