(I do apologize if we are throwing a monkey wrench into your plans. You make the GM'ing look so easy, it is easy to forget how much work you put into it!) :D
Indeed, Pat is one of my favorite GM's! :-)
Glad you are back! Nothing like coming in hot.

Ok. I think I am over my shock at the new site. I’m going to use Obsidian Portal to start a project I had in my mind for a while: Indexing all the NPCs and sites.
I realize I am again taking a while to post. There’s no denying it, my life has changed a lot in the past year, and I’m finding getting on the site a mental roadblock. Bear with me. I don’t want to see this game die. This month marks ten years playing !

Tell me about it!
I am still available for this one Pat. I will check in on the Gameplay thread likely tomorrow.

It a PbP site but you can pick your own icons, post up maps, you have a whole forum space, it’s quite interesting

I’ll try it on my laptop tonight
I think the site itself was being a bit tetchy today. It took like ten tries just to get it to let me favorite the campaign. *shrug* And that was after the difficulties with signing up...but that was because I share some my computer with my kid and I kept having to start over when it tried to sign me up using his account info. >.<
But, anyhow, after playing around on the site to look at the format, I am not super enthused about changing. But I would rather deal with that frustration than drop this game, so if you are determined to port over I will try and deal with my fear of new things. ;)

Yeah, but do you have to pay or make an account or anything?

Judging by my quick (like, 5 minutes tops) glance around the site, I don't think so? I didn't see anything about needing payment.
But it does look like you have to create an account to do anything other than look, of course. ;PPatrick Curtin |
OK guys. First off. Happy tenth anniversary. This is by far the most successful game I've ever had. Thank you all for participating
Secondly: Some less happy news. It's no secret I have been struggling. I still want to continue. I am going to try this week to get back into the swing of things. Honestly. I know if I don't get back somehow it will die. So please post a present if you are still here. I will get this rolling this week, fates willing

Life is finally starting to get a bit less hectic. Thanks for the patience, I will be back to normal posting again this Sunday.

It's more of carving out a specific time to do the posts. You see, my previous job I could sit at the computer all night researching and coming up with cool things. Such largesse is not possible at my new job. Plus I am now up and moving at 5 am and not home until 5 pm. Then I have the normal evening issues, and before you know it, it's time to go to bed.
Ragadolf |
Hey, I'm just happy that you got that job where your evening issues are at HOME, instead of in a parking lot or emergency room guard post at 1am! :)
You just let us know when/how you get it all figured out. We'll be here.
Meanwhile, I'll figure out some time to write the next chapter of the journal! :D
Happy Hump Day everyone!

NOT a disappointment Pat!
Games and assorted fun must always bow to the whims of RL, (both good and bad) ;P
Speaking of RL, I'm sorry I've been too busy to even look at the journal! :(
WHO knew that kids graduating high school, (barely, she hates math as much as I do) and middle school, and assorted shenanigans, (Oh yeah, and work) could be so time consuming! ;P
It's all good! Just let us know!
(As long as your having fun when you get started back up, Its all good!)
:)

It feels good to be reengaged with this game. I have never truly not been, even when I couldn’t get up the energy to post. I am going to do my best to move forward, and hopefully keep up a decent posting schedule. Let’s all cross our fingers and see what happens.
I felt the same way when I came back from my hiatus after several months in late April. Some weeks are still better than others for me these days.

The hardest thing I've been dealing with from a game perspective is prepping table top. I've been winging that for months as unlike PbP I felt that had to keep going even when RL has been a beast.

Yeah. I’m trying to stay engaged in little ways and prepping the complicated stuff ahead of time. That being said I still have a chore statting up Hexnala. I don’t know why I assumed you guys would be good with that plot twist /facepalm
Lol,
Well, we wouldn't want you to be bored would we? :)For a minute I thought maybe you had planned this? Figuring maybe we might hold back on hurting what looks like our friend? All so she can escape and become a recurring character later. (good or bad to be determined) ;)
Or am I confusing you with my old buddy who used to GM most of our games? HE was a sneaky b@$!@%& like that.
:D

Well, it was something like that. I wanted to throw in a twist and maybe have something else pop up later. Plus Mara was supposed to become, if not an ally, a contact within the Dustmen who owed the party a favor. Ah well, the best laid plans of Monkey DMs often go awry.....
