Eventually, Arnav was going to say that he was fire resistant and if you needed to fireball an area he was in, go ahead. But he's used to plain vanilla fireballs. When you do an average of 35, fire resistance 15 soaks up almost half even without a save.
Well, THAT was my 'Big Badda-Boom' ace-in-the-hole. And it worked pretty well.

IF I pull out any others, it will be 5d6 or less (using my Fiery Burst Feat) or a regular 10d6 at max. But I have a feeling I'll be needing to pull out another spell with my 1/day anyspell amulet. :) (What do I have listed under "Defenses vs Big creepy alien entities spells?)

LOL yeah, I definitely slipped back into my old table-gaming mind-set for that one. ;P
We didn't much care if the quotes that we used were 'applicable' so much (ALthough pretty much anything from Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Ladyhawke, Conan, etc etc works) as much as we just enjoyed them if they were funny. :)
I forget the name (Have to go look at my old issues of Dragon Magazine) but there was a comic in there that centered on an apprentice of a wizard who had read almost every book in the wizards tower, INCLUDING all of his modern Earth fantasy/Sci-Fi novels. Many, many references to modern day sci-fi by a 'medieval' character. Which I thought made it even funnier. :)

Just a check in. I'm sorry about my silence. I got back from GenCon and went back to work. Usually I am able to update a bit there, but things were a bit hectic. Then I volunteered yesterday and ended up working in a downpour for five hours before they called the day because of weather.
I am working a bus thing today, so hopefully I can catch up with everything
