Not really. Things go pretty bad for old King Eodred Arabasti II pretty fast. :-)

So she's single?

Guess it'll have to be Lancelot then! It offers excellent redemption driven storytelling!

Comment to James J, I don't think it's a secret but I'll make sure:

Spoiler:
As I recall, Boss, you said it's no secret from the very first chapter that she is the big bad evil?

Oh, I don't know. I think I'll take my chances for a sweet looking ... HEY! Where did all these red splotches come from?!

My bad. Fixed now!

I'm guessing that the Queen is a...

Spoiler:
Pennangalan, or some other type of daywalker. Or as Fatespinner mentioned in the chatrooms, a homage to Elizabeth Báthory.

Mr. Jacobs?

Still it might have been fun while it lasted!

Queen Ileosa is...

Spoiler:
...not undead. She is evil, though, and pretty bad-ass to boot. The PCs will first start to realize she's not "good for Korvosa" by the end of the first adventure in Crimson Throne, and by the end or maybe middle of adventure 2, they'll know for a fact that she's bad Bad BAD! There's not really a "slow reveal" of her evil throughout the adventure path, although the source of her power and evil is a surprise. For those interested in more spoilers... you'll need to wait until Pathfinder 6, which has a nice four-page synopsis of Curse of the Crimson Throne. One that's filled to the rim with spoilers.

I'm told by the Korvosa Chamber of Commerce that this is an excellent time to relocate to Korvosa, or at least, visit many of the city's tourist spots.

I think it's wrong of the blog to say that now's not the time to move there. Why, I hear the queen is the most virtuous, kind and considerate monarch in all of Varisia. Anyone who says otherwise must be jealous of her beauty and position.

Truly, she is all that, and more!

So, ignore all these rumor-mongers on these boards. Korvosa is the most enlightened and prosperous capitol. I imagine that most commoners are just dying to get there!

I'm putty money down that she's a demon thrall with some Pathfinder equivalent vile feats.

Dear Mr. Taylor,

We thank you for your kind words in regard to our fair and beautiful city. I currently happen to have an opening on my staff if you are interested in joining. You seem quite skilled at writing ad copy, and we could use someone of your caliber in our ministry.

I hope this missive finds you well.

Sincerely,

*illegible scribble*

Dear Mercer Cucuteni, Magistrate of Tourism, Korvosa

I would be pleased to accept a position in your employ.

I am currently without a position, as my previous employer, the Paracount Julistar, a noble and most forthright cleric of Asmodeus, has not been heard from for some time. He and the other members of Her Majesty's Expeditionary were most recently in Osirion. But I can assure you that my advance work for them was second to none.

Prior to that post, I was with the Magnimar government, serving as personal secretary for the Seneshal of Dates, Jacildria Quidarmo. I learned a great deal about how to dispense the truth of government matters to the good people of Magnimar while in her employ.

I am available at the earliest possible opportunity, if these references meet with your approval.

Sincerely,

Troy E. Taylor

I think that she is nothing but an illusion. She's not even human but a demon! Mistress of Plagues!! Bringer of death and disease to the city. So she is much to busy to care about the living, she wants everyone to be suffering and dying!

Now that's a real blog tease.

Bad women are good for your health! (Well, not really, but that doesn't matter).

So how bad are we talking here? Does she let herself be abducted by notorious (but incompetent) villains so that the heroes safe her? Does she then try and give advice to those incompetent villains?

In short: Is her real name Sara?

You don't get more evil than that.

although that sounds intimidating, I prefer a human BBEG for a change.

The Runelords are human.

Why do all the hot chicks want to kill you or would rather hang out with demons.

Dunno. I don't understand women.

But you shouldn't judge women solely on their looks: I'm sure women whose strength is something other than stunning looks (smarts, for example) would just as soon kill you or hang out with demons than the pretty ones.

And it's not like guys aren't into killing people or hanging our with demons (especially if said demons are succubi)

oops, double post.

I like the picture, both the concept and the presentation.

I don't care how evil she is. I'd hit that.

Are they? I was under the impression that Karzoug is some sort of undead. He may have started out human but he is not one now.

Karzoug is human. Immortal, yes, but human. He's not undead. After 3 Adventure Paths in which the Big Bad End Guy was a demon lord and/or evil god, the #1 goal in Runelords was to have the boss be human.

The same cannot be said for all six of the other runelords, of course...

Liberty's Edge

I'm getting an oWoD antediluvian feel now from them, and wondering what happened to and where are the other 6.`

My impression: her palms would have you quivering for more than a fortnight! I'd even go so far as to say she's got a timeless body. And maybe a leftover aristocrat level from before she put on her habits.

Because you used charisma as your dump stat.
