"Go with."

An surprisingly deep growl from such a small thing: "grrrrrrrrrrrr." Aso learned more than a few aggression noises fighting in the geek cage.

If I was you, Radik, I'd be hoping that he doesn't eat excretia."

After his out-of-body experience, Kirrish is all aflutter with thought.

Declaration- Hate: Long-ear sandwalkers go North, Si...Si...Silwer...he performs a particularly abstract pantomime: his upper arms form a ring while his lower arms push out from the middle of the ring he created. He makes a *gurgle* sound like running water. This one want hunt long-ear sandwalker! Hide in sand, cut heads, eat hearts! Yet...

He has a sobering moment of realization: so many clutch mates in need of food and water, one kank that is also in need of food and water and himself. Giving in to his bloodlust would likely either kill him if he went alone or the whole clutch if they went with him. Even the ones he doesn't like.

Declaration: City dweller wall houses three day, south west. We go, get water, eat eat. We go, Ggllurrsku-skrukk! We go, clutch! No sand ghost get water this day.

"Aye, my armorskin kin, aye. Know we, or I anyway, will find those points and put them under my knives. But we softbellies can't go long without our thirsty squirted. Thirsty firsty, then blood."

Male Thri-kreen Monk 2 (ECL 6)

After watching Shenker and Radik exchange insults all day, Skarsnikt has finally figured out what they are up to.

"Softskins perform Ritual of Strength, yes? They want to mate, yes? In softshell hive, many other two-legs. No need show strength, many mates there. We go quick, before mating need drive softshells mad, yes?"

He seems amused, making harsh clicking noises that might be insectoid laughter.

Skarsnikt wrote:

Bwahahahahaha.

male human lvl 6 +1la human; 5lvl rogue xp 15,00--21,000 next levelup

I don't like the sound of that last 'bwahahahaha.'
Anime alert--anime alert--look out for all hotties; they probably turn into spider byoches with fang-filled mouths.

I was just amused by the concept of Shenker and Radik performing a mating ritual (as opposed to rutting). It's not like the Thri-Kreen can probably tell apart human sexes anyhow...

If the party does head towards Raam, will you be following the road, or cutting across the desert?

Which is most likely to result in a TPK?

We don't take that one.

With the wisdom of Satan and the plaintive honesty of Jesus Christ, our DM lifted his head and smiled at me. Amber eyes fixated upon mine, smile never wavering, he inquired of me serenely, “Would you like to cut across the desert?”

Overwhelming odds, certainty of death, what are we waiting for?

Male Halfling (Athasian) Psychic Warrior 4

Issiki walks up to Radik, looks at him and says simply, "You are very insulting, even for a drylander." in the manner of a child. He then goes to throw in his lot with those heading to Raam.

There are reasons people take roads. Unfortunately, Aso is not aware of any of them.

male human lvl 6 +1la human; 5lvl rogue xp 15,00--21,000 next levelup

"I'm for the desert route. Straight for it, okay?"

Male Mul Warrior 4 (SRD generic class)

We are escaped slaves, the less interaction with people in this area the better. Across the shifting sands, I say. We don't want the elves coming back with reinforcements to collect their property and finding a clear trail to Raam behind us.

Oh look *cough* those silly elves were holding the map sideways…

Will assume the party is traveling at night, parallel to the road, as the Kes’Trekel glides. Occasionally due to curves around perceived hazards, they may actually cross the road (which leads to some good jokes with the aaracokra in the party).

male human lvl 6 +1la human; 5lvl rogue xp 15,00--21,000 next levelup

Shazlim....that's a Snoop Dogg word, innit?

We also need to look for some campsites, to trade (blows) with for water.

Zuko also advocates a desert route. He reasons that, "Staying along the roads will only increase the likelihood the party will meet up with patrols from Raam. We are not ready to face fully armed templars... yet."

"I insult those unworthy of my respect."

The fighter shoulders his club, following the Raam group, but several paces behind.

The angry drylander's words are like the meaningless sighing of wind to the halfling, who has already walked of.

I'm being dense.. are we fatigued rather than exhausted now?

I think we're okay now, since Zuko has conjured water and Ka Chik the Aarakocra has purified our...waste to make it fit for...reintegration. Plus, that kank is about to bear honey!

"Spring". Can't use p,b,f,v or m I believe, though I may have slipped up once or twice.

Male Human Level Adjustment +1 Rogue 1 Ranger 2 Sidewinder Monk 1

MalaKi travels quietly with the group. He spends most of his time in the proximity of Faindriac
Zuko.

"Malaki, do you know much about Raam?" Zuko asks thoughtfully.

Issiki wrote:

Nice. Good to see people easing into the rules a bit.

Male Thri-kreen Monk 2 (ECL 6)

Skarsnikt scrambles back and forth at the head of the group along the other kreen, keeping an eye open for food or trouble.

In thri-kreen:

Spoiler:

::The softshells are becoming stir-crazy. They need more of their kind soon, especially the large stone-coloured one. Do you know much about the softshell nest? How soon can we get there?::

Traveling through the cool night, guided by the Thri-Kreen and the keen eyed Kha-Chik-Chik-Ka gliding overhead on the remaining desert thermals, the party churns through the miles and manages to avoid any notable hazards their first evening of travel. The sandy wastes begin to give way to stony barrens, with occasional pockets of hardy scrub vegetation.

Shortly before dawn, the party encounters what appear to be several upright skeletons. Though worn smooth, the bones do not appear especially old, almost as if some force recently flensed them as they traveled, before they could react. You locate no accoutrements that would explain how they came to be here, and any application of force causes the skeletons to collapse directly into chalky powder.

During the daylight rest period (outside of viewing range of the bizarre remains) spent in the shade of a large protruding shelf of red rock, the kank begins to chitter excitedly. After a half hour of exertion, the giant ant creature finally gives a shrill cry and extrudes two large emerald orbs from the rear of its abdomen before collapsing, exhausted, for the remainder of the day.

With the setting of the baking sun, the party renews its water supply before once again (just going to assume you reused the spells you just refreshed that day) hiking through the desolate region on what is now the evening of their third day of newfound freedom. The heat dissipates from the stony ground in visible waves of distortion, but the distant glow of a city on the horizon begins to come into focus now, keeping your path true.

Midway through the evening, the party makes two discoveries: A long line of flickering lights travels the road in a direction away from Ramm, and a shallow depression in the rock-strewn earth contains a shallow puddle of muddy water, ringed by several thorny brown bushes.

Male Human (Athasian mutant) Psion3/Wiz1

Faindriac continues to note the continued the continued (lack of) interaction between the grey-skinned warrior and the others. Twice he even deigns to frown. But makes no other comment or action, except to agree to join the majority in the direction of Raam.

Faindriac will continue to use his 'Sustenance' Power once each day to sustain him. (3 Power Points) He will continue to take supplies we find and share, but take only his share, or less, as needed.

Still traveling, will post when able, should return to normal sometime mid-late next week!

Weee! Now I'm as fast as a human! :)

Shoot, misspelled Raam. When I get tired I have typo-creep.

Aso occasionally repeats the episodes he had the first day of travel, but never loudly enough that anyone can figure out what traumatizing experience is haunting him lately, except that he seems to be talking about a woman.

When he's not eating fleas, getting twitchy, and chattering like a derelict on acid, he tends to follow Holdrus, Shenker, Zuko, or Malaki, asking them every mindlessly simple question that crosses his mind.

With Shenker this inevitably descends into either an inventory of scar tissue or endless barrage of question about women.

Having replenished his strength, i.e. full spells and hit points, Zuko focuses his mind on the problem of getting inside Raam without arousing the suspicion of the templars or their undead masters.

In thri-kreen: ** spoiler omitted **

Thri-kreen:

Spoiler:
*Three days walk. This one is especially doubtful of the grey-skinned one. No use, waste of water. If he doesn't make himself useful for something besides threats and clutch in-fighting soon, he'll likely make at least a fine meal. I know little of thin-shell cities; this one has traveled far over dunes and waste pursuing his quarry, but has avoided thin-shell settlements. Kreen are often used in blood sports or regarded poorly. Desert dangerous for predator, lack of resources and natural hazards. City dangerous for thieves, murderers, templars and slavers. This one suggest we get what we need and leave as soon as possible.*

Kirrish will examine the muddy water and the scrub for a minute to see if it's safe for clutch or kank consumption. Effectively taking 20, so end result of a knowledge: nature roll would be 24.

Male Thri-kreen Monk 2 (ECL 6)

Skarsnikt creeps up about 15' behind Shenker, just in case anything suddenly appears and attacks the ugly softshell.

M Human Fighter 3 / Binder 2

The blow to Radik's ego is too much to bear.

With a snarl, he strides forward, pushing past the thri-keen, and shoving the creepy little man out of the way, the massive gladiator kneels and begins to gulp down handfuls of the dubious-looking water.

male human lvl 6 +1la human; 5lvl rogue xp 15,00--21,000 next levelup

No. he doesn't touch Schenker.
