Was offline last night while they reset the whole of our network traffic to flow through the corporate Gestapo division. Will have to get creative tonight in order to get unrestricted access, but will give it a go.
Today is going to be interesting too trying to find time, as I have to go in early (yet again) for month end, but not giving up hope just yet.

Still alive. You really have to try lawyering for Lucio Tan. It's exhausting.

Holy crap did I miss a lot of topics while I was away. Too many too catch up to now, will just concentrate on the game.
Thanks for the recap, by the way. When I'm reading multiple pages of multiple parallel scenarios, my attention span always decides it's time to go into hibernation.

Minor problem, here’s the deal (posting to each discussion thread):
Since the network switchover at work, I’m cut off, and my time to update at home is sporadic and limited. It’s not so much no access as remote division attempting to justify its existence by routing our connection through their gear and then monitoring the bejesus out of it. I’ve tried a few things on a tentative basis, and I know port 443 is open (tested it with the camera from home), but either 3389 is out or the RDC protocol is ruled out (still testing, but I can’t hit my box at home so far; slow going as I have to test one thing a day, and if it doesn’t work, I have to wait 24 hours to try again). I used to be able to at least use Google messenger if I went around the policy by renaming the program identifier as notepad, but secure outside connections are now cut off as well (though the java client works, trying to limit my usage). I have an awesome idea that would fix this issue and a good many more, but I am still trying to justify the cost internally (extra $60 a month, maybe less if they’ll work with me).
In the mean time, here’s what I plan to do: Every evening before work, I’m going to snap up the RSS feeds and offload it to a pen drive. I’ll do the game update at work, then post it as soon as I get home. This will leave me a day behind, but at least you will get an update on a regular basis. I’ve already loaded everyone’s character profile and the game for today, so I’ll type up the next sequence this evening. Sorry for the pain in the butt!

Much obliged! If I can do anything right in this life, it’s persevere. Honestly, I’m more impressed all of you have stuck with me! Still hemming and hawing over the Sprint Mobile Broadband (really waiting for them to get back to me over the ridiculous startup fee).

My spot is off of this thread for some reason...
My guy won't ever get me accused of minmaxing.
I might do something if I get another metal weapon; bronze kukri and bone dagger paired weapons don't exactly mow through anything dishing out copious damage.

I thought I had already replied to this, but it must have been lost. The spell is kind of funky in that if it only has a single target, it’s good, but not crazy. Against multiple targets, it’s incredibly strong. Psionics has a “wow” factor in that you can dominate a combat with it; you just have to choose the correct battle, as if you try to go that route, you’re done for the day.

Hola.
Thanks to two weekends of headaches (including four in the last five days), I’m officially in hell. I can only assume it is the hormones, but I am popping anti-migraine pills like jellybeans last few days. I hope to have things sorted out following my Sept. 4th appointment (or shortly thereafter). At the moment, I have all the creativity and brain power of soggy cardboard. I hate to do this to you guys, but would it be possible to take a three-week hiatus and resume Monday, September 8th? I hate to put a hold on things mid-stream, but I’m not doing anyone any favors by limping along, either.

Level up? Sure, I was kind of wondering when we might be able to get around to that!
Speaking of slow, I am closing on a house tomorrow, so, between that, and moving, and all of the usual disruptions that go with moving, I'll be around even less than usual. BUT, I'll be back to my (Character's!) aloof, disdainful self ASAP!
I hope,... ;)

Valegrim |

uhm; so do we level or not; is it discussion or a done thing? You have a lot of migraine's...am not expert; but a friend used to have them; found out they had TMJ and they got some muscle therapy and stuff to take; get regular massages; helps a lot; almost never gets a migraine now; have you found the source of yours?

Ragadolf |

Hello all,
Yes, I'm still here (Sortof)
If by 'here' you mean having evacuated Louisiana again to Oklahoma!
Waiting to see when we can return, and THEN have to wait to get re-scheduled for cable/internet/phone hookup, so i'm still spotty for this week.
But dry. ;)
The move went ok, as well as expected with only one other person helping me move a house-full of furniture!
Will be back ASAP, promise!
Thanks, Laters,

Checking in,
New House had only minor damage as best we can tell. Siding pulled off from right under the roof, (Brick house otherwise) and found a few shingles in the yard. Could be mine, could be the neighbors. Found out we are on the same gris as teh hospital across the street, so power is not going to be a major concern! :)
Still have to wait till Saturday to get Cable/INet/Phone on at the house. So will be spotty till then as I only have access at work. And THAT has it's own problems!
(My pit pump stopped working, so my Orchestra Pit is a swimming pool, and the roof leaked all over my BRAND NEW cyclorama! sheesh!)
Will be back ASAP, promise!
Thanks for all the well-wishes guys and gals!
Laters!

Thanks James, Were all fine, or we will be as soon as the stoopid hurricanes stop forming this year! ;P
I hope MIke's ok, haven't seen anything from him recently.
Wow,... update,...
Alright, You're gonna LUV this one!
So, since I was switching from my Apt to my new house with the Cox cable service, it seems that they consider me a 'new' client,...
GOOD- because I qualify for discounted 'new client' rates,
BAD- because due to 'Act of God' conditions, they CANCELED all 'new' install services, and didn't bother to tell me! :P
So, not only am I now (After calling them again!) on a waiting list with an UNdetermined amount of time to get my 'new' services installed,... Because they Canceled my 'old' services, I lost my phone number too!
And had to cancel the daughter's b-day party AGAIN, due to post Gustav family problems, no one was going to be able to make it. And NOW it looks like IKE may cancel it AGAIN! SO needless to say, she ain't happy either!
Somedays, it just doesn't pay to get out of bed,...
So, I'll be checking in from work once daily after I get my actual work done.
Sorry guys and gals, but it's not my fault, I swear! ;)
Laters,...
NOTE- please don't take any of my posts as b!@$^#%, I'm actually doing pretty well, all things considered. (It could ALWAYS be worse!) I just like kvetching, and you guys are a safe audience for my venting! :) Thanks for letting me!
MWB, I hope your feeling better! If not now, very soon!
Laters,...

Wow, man. Methinks you don't want to hear about the awesome service I get from my broadband provider and my mobile phone provider here in post communist China.
Wouldn't want to rub it in.
Glad you're okay, though. Life and limb, those are the important things.
Hope Mike is okay. My coworker's wife is into her third week after thyroid cancer surgery - she's having it pretty rough.

Just curious--do they do I 131 thyroid ablations over there?

You have no idea Vale,... ;) And Thx! I'll take all the well-wishes I can get!
Wow, Kruwlaid, I hope you Co-workers wife is alright. My wife had to have her Thyroid removed for the same reason, a little before Katrina,... (Interesting life, you have NO idea! I think my Fairy Godmother 'Blessed' me at birth to 'Never be Bored'!) ;P
Fortunately, we had a Super-Surgeon. You can hardly see the scar. And we caught it early enough there was very little follow up. (Ah, the little pill that makes you glow in the dark!) So we were VERY lucky! Of course, until she got her thyroid replacement medication balanced she was a little,... paranoid.
But everything is all good now!
Why are you staring at me like that?!?! ;P

It doesn't make you glow in the dark! If you glow in the dark, you need to figure out what's in your water at home!!! ;)

Heathy,
I have NO idea what you play at in RL. But anybody who has YOU for a professional is either very lucky,...Or very, VERY frightened! ;)
I do nuke med; pet scans; everybody has cancer...I inject people with radioactive fluorine 18 fluorodeoxyglucose and take pictures of them.
So, I'm not Mr. Jokes or anything at work.I used to do straight nuke med; iodine capsules, lung scans, etc...etc...I do call at another place on the weekend and do lung scans at midnight for instance.
I had one lady come in, she was a riot; anyway she told me I need to really lighten up because I come across as a wet dish towel. So I says, "cool...in real life I'm a major joker so I'm glad I have everybody fooled; my job here, a lot of times people aren't in a real good mood, so they might not think I'm so cute with my mouth. So I'm glad I have you hornswaggled."

Level away!

That I do. Sinus, mostly. Usually specifically related to changes in barometric pressure. Guy I work with at night has them on the exact schedule I do, it’d be amusing, if it didn’t hurt so damn much.

mwbeeler |

Wow, that’s crazy Rags. Thank goodness you are all, well, I guess one could call it “safe.”
Of course, until she got her thyroid replacement medication balanced she was a little,... paranoid.
Oh man, how I miss my paranoia. Now I’m too tired to care enough to be paranoid, and I have trouble spelling and remembering things. Had to bring a post it note to my doctors so I could tell him I had trouble remembering things, except I left it at the house and had to go back for it.

My coworker's wife is into her third week after thyroid cancer surgery - she's having it pretty rough.
Sucks. :( Amazing how much that stupid thing does.
Just curious--do they do I 131 thyroid ablations over there?
I heard there was an isotope shortage in England, but sure how Asia is doing. I skipped my ablation.
