I have an extra kidney, if you need it. I've already drawn a smiley face on it with a marker, but I'm sure it still works fine.
Ha! I did the same thing with my cancerous tumor, boy did the doctor's office chuckle. I have a picture of that somewhere...
As touched as I am by the gesture, the antibiotics are already working, and you might want to give it to someone special some day (wedding ring? Pfft, how old fashioned! Here's my kidney. That's love, baby!)
Not again! Wait a second...one...two...oh crap. BROCK!!!!!
How do you know you don't have a horseshoe kidney? Nobody ever knows until I scan them. ;)
I think I'm at max rads for the next couple years, unless we want the second kid to have random super powers. No way am I going to risk giving a child of mine the stretch power. Poor bastard :( [/ooc]

It’s getting so bad I’ve started to think about growing my own food. Can’t eat anything prepared by someone else anymore. I don’t like to eat anything without a clear chain of evidence anyhow…
S!. Word.
I just woke up fairly healthy after three days of vomiting, diarrhea and fever. What made things worse was my kid was at the hospital for something completely different.
And my wife had her period, which is kind of like getting a kidney transplant.

Guys, I regret that I am saying this but I am gonna have to bow out of this game, at least for a bit. Between Real Life, some projects and my other PBPs I have to ax something and this game managed to fit that bill. I haven't been able to keep track of the game very well for a while and I really regret that.
Perhaps in a couple months, I will be able to re-evaluate and jump back in. If you need Holdrus to make an appearance or something for the story, Beeler, let me know on the Savage Tide thread and I will try to work it in. Alternately you could NPC him for a while and I will do what I can, when I can.
Thanks all and sorry again.

No worries here Fakey.
I don't have nearly as many (PbP) irons in the fire as you, but I com-PLETE-ly understand about RL biting at yer @$$ lately!
Hopefully by the holidays (CHristmas if not Thanksgiving) I'll be able to sit down and catch up on reading all of your guys other PbP threads that I've fallen behind on! ;P
I'm just glad that your not having to give up ALL of your PbP's, as other friends of mine on other threads are having to do. Good luck, and I hope to get to play with you in another thread someday!

It's cool, I'm right there with having too many irons in the fire. You still in as Terin? I'll keep Holdrus in cold storage for safe keeping until you return. Luckily my art class wraps up next Tuesday, and I only have a few more presentations to make for my other class, because...yeesh.

Definitely in as Terin still. I felt I could drop Holdrus for a bit partly because I am having difficulty keeping up with the game and because there are so many other players that my leaving won't leave much of a void. I think that out of all my PBPs, I would keep Terin til the last although my dude Dravite in Aubrey's ROTRL game is really close to my heart also. I am gonna re-eval after the holidays and see if I can jump back in.
Thanks for being cool with this.Kruelaid |
Hehe.
I've been really hit hard by changing jobs. Every time my boss gets back from business trips I have to work like a slave for a week or two, then it's a month of easy street again.
Not thinking of backing out, though, it's actually games like Heathansson's that kill me... thank god for having a fighter in his game, seems to keep the pressure off me.

I’m going to be honest and say: 1. I’m buried as of late, mostly due to missing out of most of this year. 2. I want to keep this game going. 3. Its frustrating leaving you hanging between my update schedule. It looks as if a lot of you have are under pressure too, so I thought I might toss this out here and see how you all felt about it. Should we a) Keep on trucking or b) Pick back up in the new year when things (wishful thinking ; ) calm down? Opinions?
Oh, and I would have updated already, but my high-on hippie professor has three different schedules and I just discovered I have two assignments due that I didn't know existed.
Heathansson |
Your life sounds like those effed up dreams I have that I'm still back in highschool, even though I'm 39, and I have finals and 2 papers due.
Don't worry about this junk; pick it up later or whatever.
Me, I've got 1 game I'm running and 2 others to play in, so I'll have fun either way.

Meh, I should have known better than to take on two more classes while I was still a zombie, and now that I can think, I'm playing catch-up like mad. The good news is this coming Tuesday is my last day of one the classes (the bad news is it isn't the one with the disorganized hippie).
I'm just thinking that we've all got our little problems as of late, and it might be less stress if we just set it aside for a few, then come back when we have the time to have fun with it. How's your son, by the way? Feeling any better?
Heathansson |
Yeah; he fights too damn much when he's sick.
Now my daughter's got the damn fever.
I'm in a really zombielike state right now--two nights of constantly interrupted sleep like Basic Training in the field exercise.
My wife's working now; I'm on call; good thing gramma's coming over in a few. At least they're all asleep right now.
But, I'm getting crazy ideas for gaming; it keeps my head occupied and out of worry-and-fret mode.

It's all cool. If you put it (formally) on hiatus just give us first dibs if you start it up again.
Ragadolf |
I'm with Krue.
Putting it on 'official' hiatus may be better for all than wondering if/when we're getting back again. I certainly understand Rl kicking you in the hienie when you least expect it! (STill trying to find time to update, BTW) ;P
It is a fun game, and I like the craziness you keep throwing at us. If/when you get rolling again count me in!
I'm good either way, But like Krue said, just give us first dibs when you get going again!

Speaking of taking breaks - I'm getting married next Saturday, and my family is slowly seeping into town from tomorrow onwards. Thus, I won't be online much over the next week and a half. Thus, I'm in the hiatus camp.
We need to start this thing again, though.
Yeeee haw!!!
