Ok, Freehold DM, did you find the Legion of 3 Worlds? If so, what is your opinion of it?

Anyone else read it? Valegrim, how about you, did you give it a try? How about Heath? Anyone, Anyone at all?

Actually it has become my mission to find this comic- I couldn't find it at any of my local places. I am going to pick it up tomorrow when I (hopefully) play Pathfinder in manhattan- the comic book store on 34th will definetly have it. Hanley's forever!

Nah; am only reading and collecting Thor atm.

Would that be your right fron paw, your left front paw, or one of your rear paws? And why do you talk to your feet? Seems like kinda an odd thing to do if you ask me.

Aaahhhh......finally the weekend has come. Last weekend I thought I had the basics of the combat system pretty well done. Last weekend, after one night of rule familiarization my players tired out before we could roll any dice. So once again, "Delay" reared its ugly head. A few days later we tried rolling dice and saw some holes in the base combat system. After feeling great dissapointment, I waited a couple of days, thought things over, identified where the problems were and went back to the drawing board Friday night.

After approximently 8 hours of work, I panned out the errors and unfun issues, added signficant rules to the combat, added in the fun "hopefully" and feel prepared to ROLL THE DAMN DICE. IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!

We have a few characters partially made, we have traits (ability scores), we have Areas of Expertise (skills), initiative, to-hit rules, damage, various types of blows (ranging from blunders to critical blows with several stops in between, we have hero and vile points (that part isn't quite finished), we have pictures in the book, a front and back cover, borders on the pages, a big ol' combat chart that does it all, we have gaming Legion shirts made (Yes I make gaming shirts to be worn at the games, ok I'm a geek), we have major excitement! I'm going to go to bed now, doubt I'll sleep.

WOW!!!! I is gittin excited!!!!!

uhm; whats this <glows with excitement>

Well, I still don't have Legion of Three Worlds yet, but I hope to be able to pick it up soon should I meet Baron in the city as planned on Tuesday. But the real reason for this post is to go over the past few issues of regular LOSH like I should have done ages ago.

Long story short, I likes it. There's a lot of development going on and not just with the Legion. The Young Heroes are doing their best but occasionally need to be saved from RIDICULOUSLY overpowered bad guys(and yes Eileen, the people you were talking about at that website were very much overreacting on what happened when she was tied up. They were bad guys doing attempting to do bad things to someone they had at their mercy. What happened with Shrinking Violet back when she was tied up by Micro Lad years previous was worse). The SP and their beaurocratic allies are just as slippery and devious as they always have been, and are trying to manipulate the Legion into saving the day for them AND committing "crimes" at the same time so that they can maintain the illusion of moral superiority(very well shown in the issue where they get a search warrant and then attempt to steal almost everything the legion hasn't nailed down). Even the villains aren't just the run of the mill death-ray types: their motivations range from trying to impress the Legion with how much damage they can do to simply trying to make a big score(the people Projectra tangled with, as well as the people who tied up Light Lass described above). Over, I'd say it's quite good...but there are some things that are being glossed over, and unfortunately, it happens to legionnaires more often than not.

Best example of this is in the past two issues. Invisible Kid saves the day after being harangued by Timber Wolf and (to a lesser extent) Shadow Lass for being a wuss. He could have really ripped into them and made them look like idiots, but that subplot was considered less important than the impending Timber Wolf/Saturn Girl makeout session, and so was cut down to Invisible Kid more or less giving them the finger in a panel. And on the subject of Saturn Girl, we can get the idea that she feels Lightning Lad is kinda putting the team ahead of her, but she never really says anything on the subject- just looks kinda forlorn until Timber Wolf shows up and tries to cheer her up...and in a way that makes her look something like a slut unless you've been paying VERY close attention to her the last two issues. Atom Girl is quite upset that an SP officer got the better of her in a VERY short fight that wasn't even finished- but we really don't get that she's really broken up over it until a few panels in the next issue that doesn't provide much in the way of illumination on the subject, although its argueable that it will be detailed in upcoming issues. And just who is this Mrissey kid and why does Brainy trust him so much?

All in all, the comic is still one of my must haves. I look forward to picking it up along with Star Wars Legacy, All Star Batman and all my other comics. I just hope that the Legionnaires get some more definition.

I completely sympathize with you on the unfun part of personal projects, Eileen- I've been working on Clerics for my campaign setting, and it's no fun struggling with layout for the table of deities. That AND my wife is making me rewrite the whole damn thing...*sigh* But I look forward to seeing the semi-finished pdf and rolling dice and stuff. It's all about the finished product.

Oh, and we sang your theme song at karaoke yesterday. Everyone was wondering why I was laughing at the end...

Freehold DM wrote:

I sincerely hope you find it soon. I had a difficult time finding it as well. The main store I went to, which is huge, were sold out. I asked the person across the counter if they had it and he darn near laughed in my face. Now normally the customer service at this store is fantastic but this guy was a jerk about it. In all honesty, he proceeded to give me a LECTURE on the importance of pre-ordering comics. I was polite and nodded my head a lot, what I really wanted to do was give him a steely-eyed look and finish my shopping.

The second store I went to I had never been to before. After some difficulty finding it due to poor directions, I arrived. The store was better then expected (not great, but better). The customer service was far better here. He didn't have any issues in stock either. Knowing it was going to be the last store of the day, I asked if he could order it for me and he said "yes". I told him I lived out of town "like a loooooooong ways out of town and requested if I could "pay today for a comic tomorrow, plus I'd throw in shipping and handling". He said "yes" and so I went about browsing. I found the Mano and Triplicate Girl heroclix miniatures and bought them along with more back issues. Before I was ready to leave though, I looked around one more time. Hanging up on the wall were action figures (about 12" tall) of Colossal Boy and Invisible Kid (preboot Adventure days) for $15.00 each. I was pretty much out of cash but I so wanted them.

Anyway, as I was about to pay for things, he reaches down below the counter and hands me a Legion of 3 Worlds comic. I'm guessing he took it from someone elses pre-order and that he planned on replacing it before they arrived.

Yes, I think these Young Heroes are going to get their fannies in the frying pan so deep that the Legion will have to not only bail them out but the Science Police as well. Just my thoughts.

Yes, there are certainly some over-reactors out there on the whole Shooter sex thing, that's for certain. Certainly he is throwing a lot of that into the comic which overall doesn't bother me. I always fall behind on my issues because the gaming/comic store is so far away. When I get there I'm usually 2-3 issues behind. I read about the comics in advance on the other site. At first I was alarmed when I started reading all the drama about "nude" Legionnaires etc. When I got the issues it was like "You got to be kidding, that's what all the fuss was about? How ridicoulous." This scenario kept happening, so by the time we got to the Saturn Girl/Ultra Boy pantry scene, I was like "Whatever, say all you want, I already know it isn't x-rated."

By the way, do you frequent that site, it kinda sounds like it. What name do you go by if you do?

I liked this alot. The Science Police has changed a lot since the Adventure Comics days. They use to be red, white, and blue, someone to look up to, now their a different brand of thugs. In my game I hope to protray them as very two faced. They say one thing to your face and turn around and do the other with a lot of excuses in between. The new guys on the Science Police would generally mean well and not be corrupted yet, the vetrans would be corrupt with the exception of a few. Kind of a mixed back of good and bad. Ultimetly though, those behind the scenes will be corrupt. I'll be making specific NPCs out of the Science Police officers that are mentioned by name throughout the years in the Legion comics.

I'm not really keeen on this portrayal of Invisible Kid. I think his intelligence should play a larger role than it does. I don't think he has the self-confidence that some of the other Legionnaires have (such as Timber Wolf) and that is why they get the best of him when it comes to argueing. It would have been a great moment for him to verbally accost them however.

You did mean Ultra Boy (not Timber Wolf) and Saturn Girl on the make-out scene, right? Your talking about the pantry moment I assume?

I think Saturn Girl need a "ego boost moment", that's why she got personal with Ultra Boy. Some people speculate that "someone" is messing around with the Legionnaire's personalities as well, for me though the only one I see acting a bit strangely is Princess Projectra. I think though Jim Shooter is just defining her aristocratic personality and that some readers want to over-evalute things. I guess we will have to wait and see.

What happened between Micro Land and Shrinking Violet? Sounds intriguing. If you can give me a comic reference very well might have the issue here at home. I'd like to read it. I haven't been able to read near as much as I have purchased thus far, the goal is to buy the stores out of back issues. My collection has really gotten large now.

Yes, rewrite, rewrite, rewrite, and rewrite your rewrites. The outcome is always worth it in the long run. The two areas I have to keep rewriting are combat and skills (Areas of Expertise). Each time though things get better.

Before I start, I must apologize for the lack of formatting..I'm still not that savvy when it comes to keeping everyone's quotes. Anyway, here goes...

My Response:

Things like that make me glad I live in NY. That level of unprofessionalism in a comic store is just unheard of here- I've seen people get fired on the spot for less. The high level of competition means the rely on repeat business, so while everyone isn't exactly kissing your patootie, they go out of their way to be helpful.

You Said:

Yes, I think these Young Heroes are going to get their fannies in the frying pan so deep that the Legion will have to not only bail them out but the Science Police as well. Just my thoughts.

My Response:

True, but I don't think it's warranted here, at least on the part of the Young Heroes. Sure, some of them have absolutely useless powers, but others are quite handy, if not on Light Lass/Star Boy levels. Sludge's power is rather interesting- every day people forget about the importance of friction in life: someone who could negate that equation would have power right up there with the universal fundamentalists. However, I didn't care for Spy's passive discovery of Invisible Kid's presence in that lab. It's bad enough I have to deal with people trying that crap in-game, having to read it in a comic is just unbearable.

However, on the subject at hand, I have to say that I was more than a little surprised at finding Ultra Boy(not Timber Wolf) in a closet with Saturn Girl if only because when I re-read it, it was suggested that she was the one who propositioned him, not the other way around. I really can't blame her. SG has had to put up with LL's BS for YEARS, all things considered- I'm surprised the character(not just this particular incarnation) didn't do this some time before.

My Response:

Yeah, I was wrong on who was in the cupboard with whom. And I like this portrayal of IK, I just don't think he gets enough screen time. I liked it at the beginning when he was kinda the narrator in a way- the guy who was normal other than the fact he could disappear. I was hoping they would continue in that vein, but I guess not. ANd yeah, he really shoulda torn into those two. I am LOVING Shadow Lass as an ass-kicker, BTW.

My Response:

Hmm..maybe that's why she propositioned him? I dunno. As a character developmental technique, it works- Ultra Boy is confirmed at the team's bad boy, and Saturn Girl does something other than feel disturbances in the force for once. Still loving the fact that she (and Atom Girl) pack heat.

Speaking of Atom Girl, I can't remember the exact issue, but Vi was kidnapped by a group of pro-Imsk radicals with Micro Lad at the helm. Someone (a Durlan) pretended to be Vi for a good number of issues before she was able to free herself. It was IMPLIED(never directly stated) that she was tortured, and in my opinion, even raped by Micro Lad during this time. When she freed herself, she was a card-carrying badass, breaking legs and snapping fingers with the best of 'em. It was also strongly implied that she was suddenly gay, and got it on with Lightning Lass. I read the issue where she escaped back when I was in grade school- I was the only one of the people reading the comic at the lunchroom table(reading comics together..ah, good times) who realized what had happened, and it struck me as profoundly sad.

You Said:

My Response:

You are absolutely correct on this one. I hate rewriting, but I love the fruits of such labor- clerics are kickass now, and I hope to let you know what my wife thinks of it soon. I went with my late mother-in-law (a firebrand baptist minister) as an inspiration, and I think it is a tribute to her memory, although she would probably kick me in the head for even considering mentioning her and "that D&D devil worship stuff" in the same breath.

You Said:

My Response:

I wish the saturday morning cartoon one had lyrics, but it was just kickass instrumentals. I can't wait to get the series on DVD. It should be something cheesy, but good. Unfortunately I can't think of anything right now. Maybe I'll think of something after the Heroes premiere...which also needs it's own theme song.

Man, I sure said "kickass" a lot in this post. Ah well. Here's hoping that Kick Ass movie comes out soon!

I just cut and paste the quote thingy that the Paizo site puts at the beginning and end of each post after each thing the poster said that I want to comment on. That's how I highlighted everything you wrote.

Normally that store is great, I just ran into someone with attitude that day. I once saw a Legion poster on the wall. It was the picture of the the new Jim Shooter costume designs, you may have seen it on the internet if you browse for Legion pictures. Anyway I asked if it was for sale...he took it down and included it as a freebie. On the downside one of the staff asked me what I thought about 4th edition? I politely said I pretty much got out of D&D when WOTC started it because I was tired of the whole new edition thing. I kept it very polite. He immediently ended the conversation and walked away. Most of the staff is consistently nice though. These are isolated examples of rudeness.

Honestly, I would have to go back and re-read all of that. A comic coming out once a month with a continous storyline makes it difficult for me to recall whats already happened. I was picturing the Young Heroes turning out to be kinda a "government sponsored replace the Legion" group, that they would be very inexperienced, and the government would feel like they could con them into doing dirty work. That's what I'm expecting down the road anyway. We'll have to see.

I totally understand what your saying about the online posting getting to you. I've been taking a break myself. I post very little here or on Canonfire anymore, a little bit, but still very litte. On Legion World I generally don't get into conversations much. I've been posting Legion questions for my game (the site is also an incredible source of information on Legion). Set is the one that directed me to Legion World and he posts regularly. I do read what people say here on Paizo and Legion World regularly, not so regularly on Canonfire.

The Jim Shooter/sex thing came up on Legion World because a couple of people (who might actually be the same person with different names) kept running Shooter into the ground over and over in regards to the sexualizing of the Legion comic. I don't really know how to word it without it coming across as rude, but they had a very man hating view overall (example, because Jim Shooter included the Ayla scene with the pirates, these girls felt like they were going to be accosted by a man just because they walked down the street)they took it to the extreme, plus that was the only thing they would address in every post. It made reading the thread very difficult. I was cranky one night and called them out on it (not something I would normally do, it just got to me) and KABOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was dealt with and ended very quickly. These individuals calmed down and backed off on their Jim Shooter is a sexist pig comments, but I see she is starting to drift them back in. The other person (again, two girls but I think they were the same person) left, the other remained.

I'm not happy I interefered (I don't like to do anything like that), it's just their posts were so difficult and numerous people agreed with what I had said once it was said. So it was what it was.

I haven't seen anything beyond this that people argued over. The threads I have started are esentially Legion questions like.....Define each character's personality for me or rate the Legionnaires on a scale of power, things like that. In the last couple of threads I've gotten a lot of responses that have added up to be several pages long and all the conversation was very good. Extremely knowledgable people with little "I know more than you attitude".

I hope to see you there, if you do and if you choose a different screen name, let me know so I can say hi!

I kinda took it that Ultra Boy went to go find her so he could hit on her. When he found her in the kitchen she pretended to be irritated with his presence, but quickly turned the conversation into "fishing for compliments" which he readily provided because he was "in the mood". Basically, they sorta mutually agreed and went with the flow. I think that Ultra Boy is a complete womanizer/con artist and that Saturn Girl was NOT a victim in any shape or form.

I am LOVING Shadow Lass as an ass-kicker, BTW. Still loving the fact that she (and Atom Girl) pack heat.

Absolutely. Shadow Lass is one of the characters my daughter wants to play because of this reason....her and Supergirl. My daughter will be 16 in a couple of days.

Saturn Girl and Atom Girl (wish they would go back to Shrinking Violet) are much more interesting when they have weapons. The Adventure Comics made liberal use of them and I am glad to see them back. Now if we could just get the Legion cruiser from the 70's back.

I just spoke to your wife and she said she still doesn't think you have it right and she wants a 10 page manuscript on the kitchen table by morning and she still expects you to get up for work in the morning. Yea that devil and D&D thing always bothered me too. Hate having to explain that its just a game.

I wish the saturday morning cartoon one had lyrics, but it was just kickass instrumentals. I can't wait to get the series on DVD. It should be something cheesy, but good. Unfortunately I can't think of anything right now.

I want to compile some Legion like music...so far I got the Dark Knight and Superman Returns, that and a lot of Meatloaf in a way seems to fit the bill. Those overly dramatic love songs of his are fantastic. I can easily picture a big Hollywood movie of Legion with a big Ultra Boy/Phantom Girl relationship breakup going on and they both getting scenes where they are shown flying through space, overlooking Metroplois, the Ocean, whereever, just lost in thought over their relationship problems. For me, romance is pivotal for a good Legion movie/comic/game.

So after thinking it over, can you recommend anything I should buy?

whew; after reading all this dialogue; I am plumb wore out.

Freehold DM:
Any luck with the Legion of 3 Worlds? I went to the comic store today and found 18 back issues for .50 cents each; picked up the latest issue, some L.E.G.I.O.N. and......the variant cover of Legion of 3 Worlds.... (Ducks and hides in case Freehold DM throws something at me).

Oh, and the really neat thing was that a few of the back issues were ones that I had when I was a teen. Now if I can just find the rest of them. Damn that evil brother of mine for selling my Legion comics. His obsession with Spiderman was my undoing.

well; you are a superprophetess :) and just plain cool in my book; was reading for some lost gem of insight hehe. Besides; I read fast and dont have anything better to do at the moment and supers of all kinds is of interest to me A:)

FINALLY Picked up Legion of 3 Worlds as I was coming home from New York Anime Festival. This is my second time running a table at the convention and it was WONDERFUL. I love selling H (and shirts, but mostly H). That and working with one of my best friend's little brother and actually being able to give him advice on girls and sex and stuff, learning that he looked up to me...Wow. I was always lonely, being an only child, and it was weird to have those feelings come rushing back and be vindicated all at once. It's worth every globule of phlegm I'm coughing up right now- it seems that one of those Domo-kun loving kids gave me more than a smile when I sold him a hoodie. Damn kids: A vector for disease, I tell you...

But anyway, the comic. ZOMGZOOOOORS!! It was worth it just for the one page where you got to see the two other legions standing side by side. "My" Legion, and this new Legion, which is quickly becoming "mine" as well. I loved every minute of it, even when I found out R.J. Brande was a Durlan and NOT a closet pedophile. I loved it. Loved it loved it loved it. An excellent comic for an excellent weekend.

I also picked up the newest issue of standard Legion and found it very much to my liking. I love the fact that Ultra Boy and Saturn Girl DIDN'T do anything, AND the way Lightning Lad found out. That and M'rissey's continual problem solving...I've got to wonder, who IS that kid? And will the Legion survive his impending betrayal? Cuz that's where I think this is going.

I'd fanboy out a little more, but I'm quite starting to shiver and the screen is spinning before my eyes. Time for soup, blankets, H and a nap. I dont' think I'll be going to work tomorrow, so I'll probably post more then.

Long live Hentai! Long Live the LEGION!

Liberty's Edge

We went to Bass Pro Shop yesterday; there were these three foot long catfish in a big aquarium.
So today, my 5 y.o. son is Catfish Man.
Look out, Mon El. Your doom comes nigh.

Don't you just hate Mon El with his plastic Devo hair?

Are you sure you didn't actually spend some quality one-on-one time with Infectious Lass. I hear she has quite the male following.

Legion of Super-Heroes #46
This was an excellent issue. Felt like it flowed and wasn't a bit choppy like some previous issues. Here's my take on what happened....

Saturn Girl and Ultra Boy:
The opening panel shows Saturn girl without any clothes and Ultra Boy pulling up his pants. Did anything happen, well not as much that could have. Why? Only because they were interrupted by Invisible Kid. In otherwords, if Lyle hadn't shown up when he did, everything would have happened because that was their intention. I do think that Saturn Girl was more aggressive than Ultra Boy and as I said earlier, he was really just taking advantage of the situation.

Lightning Lad and the President:
Earlier I felt that they may already know one another because of Garth's informalities. That clearly wasn't the case because she asked Lightning Lad for his first name. Does Lightning Lad know "how" to treat someone in her position? I'd say yes he does, but chooses informality as it is part of his personality.

Phantom Girl and Princess Projectra:
Clearly the story Phantom Girl read to Princess Projectra had a major impact on her view of things, that and along with the couple of consversations we have seen them have about "treating people better despite her royal upbringing". So it appears as if things are sinking in for Princess. Like both of their new uniforms as well. Very nice!

Brainiac and Chameleon Boy:
Well I thought hacking off his hand was a bit of a stretch (though funny). Sure he will regenerate, but I think that having him suddenly swing a knife was probably not the way he would have gone about it. I'd say 31st century medical science could do better. Hope he at least disinfected the knife. It would be a shame if Chameleon Boy got an infection. Brainiac 5 could of at least had a band-aid ready. Ok, so there wasn't really any blood. But still....

The UPYH:
I noticed all of them had rough sounding names. Nothing heroic or eleagant. I still think if they amount to anything they will become villains down the road and I still think things will unfold that eventually they will get themselves in trouble and the Legion will end up saving their rear-ends. Either that or they take sides with the invaders????

Princess Projectra:
So now we know where the super strength is coming from. Her emotional distrought I think is responsible for her lashing out like she has been. It's also possible that with a physical change in power that it also affects her judgement as well....during the transition stage. It sounds like revenge (they called it justice) is near. Along time ago, I thought perhaps the destruction of the planet would have turned out to be an illusion unto itself. But it's looking like I was wrong about that as well. Sigh!

Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl:
Well it looks like she spilled the beans because she wanted to. I think she exageratted the events or at least told him "things would have gone further". I think she did this more out of guilt and simply trying to correct a serious mistake. I don't think she wanted to necessarily break up with him, I think she was trying to clean the slate and rid herself of the guilt. "No were finished". That statement means two things.....1. their conversation was over...2. So is the relationship. She runs off hiding the tears streaming down her face. So I think it didn't go as well as she had hoped. Why did she exaggerate then...I'm not sure. I think she was being honest about what she was willing to do.

Invisible Kid:
He suggested tryouts. We know that a forthcoming cover shows this as well. I'm thinking that we might tie up some loose ends here as well. Matter-Eater Lad and Wildfire perhaps; even if they are not on the upcoming cover.

Lightning Lad and Ultra Boy:
Jo tries to take the blame coming with the approach that he's a dog. Basically he spoke the truth. He didn't understand why Imra exageratted. Lightning Lad showed remarkably good judgment in restraining his anger. I think Jim Shooter is building him up to be a worthy leader when the invasion crisis reaches its climax. A real character growth moment in his life.

Why did Ultra Boy say to Invisible Kid, "He couldn't have hurt me more"? During their conversation, Ultra Boy tried to make amends and apologize to Lightning Lad. He offered to leave or at least letting him take a swing at him. Garth's response "And one more thing...stay the florg away from me". So what did he mean when he said to Invisible Kid about how Lightning Lad couldn't have hurt him more? Lightning Lad didn't accept the apology and what is worse...he essentially threw the friendship in the trash. He rejected Ultra Boy's friendship.

Overall, the best story Jim Shooter has written since he picked up the comic. Just my thoughts.

Ok, some of this might not be real clear if you havne't read it....but perhaps...just maybe...you might....at least....think about...considering....picking up the Legion of Super-Heroes. I'd be happy to fill in the blanks and explain what has previously transpired for those who deem themselves worthy of joining the ranks of the Legion!

How much you want to bet that the next post starts page 24 of this thread?

I'm not sure about that one- I think one or the other would have stopped things before they went too far. In essence, I agree with their version of events stated later on in the issue(and further down this post).

He's learning how to be a REAL leader: one who occasionally ignores formality. It's a bit of a problem in american society, however, the idea that anyone can waltz up to someone and call them by their first name(or worse, Mr. <insert first name here>). It's all part of the american experience, however...

Did Phantom Girl(Apparition) always have a good relationship with the Princess? Why is the Princess suddenly playing the part of the penitent? Does she really need a friend right now, or is this part of the characterization? Because I remember early on when she was "Princess Moneybags" and so eager for approval and to be included, and that just doesn't add up to how she acts now. Is Shooter going for a more stereotypical Princess-type character(i.e. re-imagining)? I don't know.

Just a >bit< of a stretch. ::eyeroll:: Still, it was kinda funny. I'm not sure how Brainy's acting like an unemotional jerk nowadays when before he was acting like an emotional jerk. I hope they answer the whole Dream Girl thing next issue...

I hope they don't become angry villains. "We wanted to be heroes, but we suck at it, so we're part of the LOSV now!" I just don't buy it. I agree that the Legion will have to save them more often than not, but I also think that one or two of them will join the Legion, others will become Subs(particularly that gloop producing one and Fruit Boy...a natural sub if I ever saw one), and still others will just join the SP when they come of age.

I'm actually glad Orando is gone- I was never a fan of the Magic Wars storyline. This isn't to say that I'm glad the Princess is suffering, far from it. I'm just glad that a ridiculous storyline may be averted. Then again considering the Legions may be merged, I'm sure magic may become part of the equation...

I like it. I can't see the hotheaded LL just dropping this or forgiving them just off the bat. He needs time to be the angry one for a while, and I think this issue did an excellent job of showing the start of that.

TRYOUTS! Who doesn't love Tryouts! And for the love of god, let's get Matter-Eater Lad, Wildfire, Polar Boy, Night Girl, and other people that became part of the Legion through tryouts in there!

Ultra Boy and Lightning Lad have been friends for years. I'm all for friction between the two of them.

If people aren't reading Legion, I feel sorry for them. They are missing out on some of the best writing I've seen since "THE LEGION".
