I lurked on this forums for a pretty long time, rarely placing my rant on any topic, but since I intend to partake a bit more I guess the best way is to introduce myself to the other board users,
I play (well, mostly DM) (A)D&D and a few other RPG's for about 17 Years now, enjoying the quality of paizos work for a few years now (more or less since the SCAP) and having recently read the first issue of pathfinder as well as the first few game mastery modules - unfortunatly they took their time to arrive at my local gaming store in germany. I'm glad the high standard is kept, even surpassed. I'm really looking forward to lead my players to Golarion (at the moment I mainly play in the FR setting and at this moment I still enjoy that setting - though I'm not quite sure what to think of the changes to come...).
I'm quite confident that pathfinder will keep me interested even if my faith in D&D crumbles with most anouncements about 4thE. - Mind you, I'm not sure yet that it will suck, but the article about the quest system really shook my remaining faith... - so I guess paizo and pathfinder will start to define my D&D anew.

Welcome to the madness ;-)
Would you mind to let us know exactly where in germany you are? I´m just curious. (and perhaps we could manage a "paizo fan meeting" at the next Hannover spielt! for all paizo folks from around here. I plan on attending, perhaps even helping the organizators, as I had years ago.)

I'm from Warendorf, near Münster. I'd generally be interested in a pfm at the Hannover spielt - though I can't tell yet if I'm able to attend, but since there is some time left I'll let you know once I can tell. (I'm still sad our local con, the müstik is no more...)

Speaking of which, I had an excellent Gnome--I mean, 'Turkey' Day. Cranberry sauce, yams, gnome meat--I mean cow meat--mashed potatoes, and for dessert, a delicious pumpkin cheesecake! Man, am I full! It's certainly safe for any plump gnome to come by without being...ah, invited for supper. Nosiree!

Welcome aboard feytharn! Great choice on the lyrics game.
And hello wizard! "Wizard needs food, badly!"

And hello wizard! "Wizard needs food, badly!"
That is my new theme song. Thanks drunken_nomad.
Btw, I used to play that game all the time. As an apprentice, I worked in a pizza place that had the 'quarter fed' machine. We had the key and played it free.
Ah.. misspent youth. What did Iron Maiden say about looking for lost time, again..?

From the coast of gold, across the seven seas,
I'm travelling on, far and wide,
But now it seems, I'm just a stranger to myself,
And all the things I sometimes do, it isn't me but someone else.
I close my eyes, and think of home,
Another city goes by, in the night,
Ain't it funny how it is, you never miss it til it's gone away,
And my heart is lying there and will be til my dying day.
Chorus:
So understand
Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years,
Face up...make your stand,
And realise you're living in the golden years.
Too much time on my hands, I got you on my mind,
Can't ease this pain, so easily,
When you can't find the words to say, it's hard to make it through another day,
And it makes me wanna cry, and throw my hands up to the sky.
Chorus:
So understand
Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years,
Face up...make your stand,
And realise you're living in the golden years.

Welcome, little fat gnome! It has been so long since I have had good food--ah, 'company'. Could you check this oven for me?

Nothing like threatening to eat a... halfling mistaken for a gnome. Yes, halfling. As in the halfling Xaven from Entombed with the Pharoahs module. ;)

I am also new on the boards. I have played D&D for maybe a year, so am relatively new to it. I have heard good things about paizo though and look forward to participating in some Play by Posts and maybe some discussions.
Welcome! Your avatar confuses me because a regular has been using it, but that is neither here nor there.
You will see, I'm sure, that Paizo is great, ~but the regular posters are real idiots. The quality of threads has really gone down since I started coming here.~

And the obsessive compulsive posters are... well, Kobold Cleaver.
Hey, have you guys noticed that nobody new dares to introduce themselves here? Maybe our exuberant threadjacking is scaring them away?

There are only two new members here on this thread... and... us.
I think we may have issues. Shouldn't you be sleeping punk?

Welcome, welcome! You have just joined the greatest message board community in the matrix. Quasi-lurker sometimes poster here, I love seeing all the personalities on these boards (Lilith, Sebastian, Kobold Cleaver, Vomit Guy, etc.) and being able to speak directly to Mike McArtor, Nick Logue, Erik Mona, etc. is phenomenal!

Oh my - now I'm really getting scared that my sugar intolerance (or diabetes as modern healers say) might be related to traces of kobold blood - I really have to check on my family tree...
